how do you transport your cakes made in the torte pans? I have a tupperware cake saver thing (really old) that I use at home, but it is barely bigger around than the torte pan cakes and always gets frosting on the inside sides of the lid since it is such a tight squeeze.
I've made cakes at...
I have searched threads and didn't see anything pertaining to making the lava cakes in the small Micro Cooker. Can cakes be made in the small MC? If so, what are some of the favorite recipes?
When DH went grocery shopping for me (), I included the ingredients for the mini carrot cakes. I said he could pick up light cream cheese, so he came home with fat free cream cheese. Before I make them with it, I wondered had anyone tried it with FF cream cheese. Will it hold up okay...
ok i am sure i could find this somewhere but i am in a hurry to put in a show and i want to order whatever it is that you make the microwave cakes in...TIA
I don't own the Silicone Floral Cupcake pan, so I'm wondering what else I can use for this recipe. Since the mix is only 9 oz and I'll be buying a standard mix, I can double the recipe and put it in something else, right? How do our prep bowls compare? How about our regular cupcake stoneware...
This recipe is in the It's Good for You cookbook and I really want to try it. It's in the appetizer section, but I want to make it as a main meal. I think it'd be great on top of some mixed greens and let the lime sauce serve as the salad dressing.
For those of you who have made this, or...
Last night, I was reading through the new SBRC, and was intrigued by the Gooey Chocolate Mini Cakes. They're not the Molten cakes from a couple of seasons ago. And they had an ingredient that I couldn't quite put my finger on: whipped peanut butter nougat-filled candy bars. For the life of me, I...
I have tried making microwave cakes in the prep bowls and the fluted pan, and both times the texture was dry and spongy/springy, to the point where I threw out the cakes.
Any idea what may be the culprit?
Thanks!
I have had a question asked about the cakes you can bake in the classic batter bowl. I have not personally baked in the bowl.....I am NO BAKER!! Anyway, I knew who to ask...
Here is her question...
Angela, I'm curious, do you know anyone who has used the batter bowls for cakes...
So I have been making a lava cake at almost every party I've done and have sold a rice cooker to almost every customer. I get the mix at Aldi's and the frosting as well so it costs me under $2.00 extra.
The lava cakes are going over so so well. People don't believe that you can make a cake...
Another consultant sent me a recipe that you can make a cake in the DCB and I had not heard this before...has anyone tried it? She sent me 2 different versions (recipes below)... a cobbler cake and a chocolate pudding cake. If anyone has any feedback on how these turn out I would love to hear...
I made these little sinful-cakes last night to celebrate an accomplishment for my son versus paying $6 at a restaurant for one single cake.OH MY STINKING_HECK!!!! These are so good...if you like chocolate. :DBut they are HUGE. One cake would be more than enough for my DH and I to share with...
Have any of you had success making the Weight Watchers recipe for the diet soda cakes in the microwave? I tried one a while back and it came out really spongy and odd.
I originally thought a "Molten Lava cake" was where there is a pocket of gooey melted chocolate on the inside, but after making the RCP and the Fluted Stone microwave cakes, I'm wondering if I was mistaken? Does anyone know how to make those small cakes with the melted chocolate pocket? Thanks!
Since I am fairly new, I had never made the molten chocolate mini cakes before but since they are on the Merrill calendars for February and I have the silicone floral cupcake pan I decided to make them over the weekend for some of my friends who got the calendars for Christmas. I thought the...
I just made the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting version in the dcb. There is a definite runny layer on the bottom of the pan, but above that it looks like actual batter. I cooked for 12 minutes in the microwave, and I have a strong one (it takes me 6-7 minutes for the pork tenderloin)...
Hi All,
I have a question about the Mini Glazed Lemon Cakes.
I made them last night for the first time, and they turned out very gummy on the outside "crust". (even before I added the glaze) The inside was beautiful, though.
Is this how they are supposed to be? And if not, does anyone...
This came down the pike from Julie Kobie in PA
I have been selling the Prep Bowls like crazy ... and eager for a full July with the Pinch Bowl specials....
Here's one suggestion I have offered to my customers:
Our family just loves the "I Scream for Ice Cream" cake recipe from our...
I want to make the Mini-Glazed Lemon Cakes with dinner tomorrow night - but my mom is lactose-intolerant. I am thinking that I could substitute yogurt for the sour cream.
Has anyone done this - and how did they turn out?
Also, if anyone has subbed yogurt for sour cream in cakes before...
I've made both of those things at home (several times), but this weekend will be my first time making them at a show. For any of you who have made them, do you have any tips for me? We're expecting 8+ guests, so I was thinking about baking a batch of the lemon cakes at home (but not glaze...
My host next week wants to have the mini glazed lemon cakes, but she doesn't have a microwave, I understand they can be baked in the oven. And I guess we will melt the butter as well as prepare the glaze on the stove top. Just like before we all had microwaves. My question is, she may have 20...
Good morning. I attempted the Mini Glazed Lemon Cakes last night for the first time and they were ok. They tasted good, but a little dry. I suspected that maybe I hadn't added enough sour cream ... any suggestions on how the consistency of the batter should be? Also, the recipe called for...
Here's a quick tip... if you have any hosts or guests who are wheat intolerant, you can use the Quinoa Flour instead - just make sure it says "good for baking" on the package - I did this last Sunday, and they turned out perfectly!:chef:
