I'm going to be testing the microwave fluted pan method for the very first time today with the Lemon Cakes. Anyone have any tips for a first-timer???
Also - someone mentioned in the other Lemon Cake post that they used lemon cake mix instead of yellow. Anyone else do this? How is it?
I have the recipe, REALLY want to try it, but do not have the pan :( .
... yet! :)
Anyway, what other pan will work? Will a regular muffin pan be OK? It seems as though the wells might be a bit too big (from what I remember, it's been a while since i've seen the SFP. Any ideas?
TIA!
Has anyone tried to make the recipe for the new Mini Lemon cakes as one cake in stoneware? (Square baker or Deep Dish Baker?)
If so, any tips? I wanted to try this today. I am wondering if I can flip the cake over out of the stoneware or if I will need to serve it from the square baker.
I made the Mini Glazed Lemon Cakes the other night for a MOMs group cooking club and when I was slicing the lemon on the Ultimate Mandoline with the thin blade it just tore the lemon it did not slice it. I ended up doing it by hand with a knife.
Can someone tell me how to use the lemon on...
Have any fellow Canadians been able to find the 250 g pkg of yellow or white cake mix to make the mini glazed lemon cakes? My local grocery store does not carry this size but I thought that maybe I could find it at Wal-mart or Superstore.
Would someone please share this recipe. It sounds so wonderful and I havent been able to get on pc for awhile. Would you share it online for us.
Thanks
Is there any version of the individual micro cakes that doesn't include pudding? I don't have any pudding mix on hand, just cake mix, and I'm jonesin' for some chocolate...
I have a host that is requesting a cake that is cooked in the Rice Cooker. The only one I can think of is just a plain cake mix with frosting and cooked in the Micro. Is there any others out there? Have any of you tried this. It sounds very very easy. Please give me your ideas on what to do. She...
Just had to say I made the lemon cakes tonight and they were fantastic. Like a little bit of heaven melting in your mouth! If you aren't a fan of big lemon taste, try them and leave the glaze off. I think if I do this for a show, I'll give them an option of pouring their own glaze. Now to...
This is my new show recipe. I tried this out tonight and it is very easy to do, and very yummy. I have my next 3 hosts all set to do it. YIPPEE!! I haven't loved a recipe this much since Hot Broccoli Dip.
Has anyone made this recipe? I was looking through past Season's Best cookbooks and it looks yummy. I'd love to hear thoughts from someone who has tried it!
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions regarding this recipe? I have a show tonight and the host requested this and I have not had time to test it at home yet. If you have anything regarding this recipe, I would LOVE to know, so I can be prepared. Thanks!
Anyone made these yet? Tips? Tricks?
I'm thinking of making them as an extra recipe to showcase SA pieces at my November shows, not to mention the Silicone Floral Cupcake Pan at $35 a pop!

Has anyone already made a nice gift tag for the cakes that go in the coffee cups? I have been making them at home and talking about them at my shows ever since I saw the thread, and I have been selling a ton of them!!! Anyways people want me to email them the recipe which is fine, but I...
do you think doing this recipe (dropping frosting) into each floral cup with batter will create the same affect (as the rice cooker micro version ) but mini versions instead and baking them in the oven?
I want to do something quick, easy and I have the ingredients already at hand for a show...
Maybe I missed it, but has anyone tried these in the silicone cupcake pan yet.
I am committed to making them for a show tomorrow...hope to knock out a test batch before tonight's show (otherwise I'm having chocolate for breakfast tomorrow....mmmm, not neccessarily bad).
Anyway...any...
So I have plans to make a turtle cake using the stoneware fluted pan in the micro. Some recipes suggest leaving the cake in teh pan to cool for a few minutes, others make no mention of letting it cool.
What is truly recommended? How long should I allow the cake to sit in the pan before I...
Does anyone know if you can bake these in something other than the Silicone Floral Cupcake Pan? What about a regular muffin pan or the mini fluted stone?
I recall reading that several folks have made ice cream desserts in the silicone floral cupcake pan. Is that as simple as it sounds? How do you make sure you've filled the molds completely? What tool works best for ensuring a smooth and even fill? (I plan to try this in in the morning.)...
Hi everyone, does anyone have this recipe typed up and can email it to me or post it. I like to have scripts and I haven't typed this one out of the Seasons Best Spring Summer cookbook yet. If you have it typed please send. Thank you.
Brenda:)
I remember seeing a recipe for this - something like a box of cake mix, a box of pudding mix and ...??? I need to know the details if any one has them! Thanks!
i just posted a question about the batter bowl and the prep bowls and deleted my thread b/c I quickly found the answer to my batter bowl question. However, I forgot about my prep bowl question, duh!! So my question is...how long do you bake the cakes in the prep bowls and at what...
Anyone made 6 little cakes before? How much icing should I make? I want to prepare the icing and cakes beforehand and freeze them so I can pull them out Sunday morning and ice after church.
I just got this Martha Stewart recipe in an email from Borders, and I immediately thought of the prep bowls!
