In summary, the conversation discusses the thread killers and how they often act. One person talks about how they are a thread killer on another forum and another person talks about how they are a thread killer on a Mac forum. Finally, someone talks about being a thread killer again.

Well then maybe I need to start talking about my son's mosquito bites. I have lots to tell that would make everyone run away from this thread! ROFLOL....

  • #2,302
Well I could introduce you all to my Kelso and I talk about him all the time as he is not only one of the family but he looks at us sometimes as if he were the smartest one in the family (he is pretty smart)

Actually, here that's known as hijacking a thread. (You'll even find an official hijacking thread for random thoughts.) In order to kill a thread you have to be the last to post. Ever. Of course, that means this thread will never die because the thread killer will feel the need to brag about killing it, which will lead to more posts, which will resurrect the thread . . .

Well I feel better now, maybe I am catching on. I am here in Chicago at the Hilton paying 3.50 an hour to make sure we keep it going just like I promised. Thank you Rae and I'm still watching out for you.

  • #2,306
With all this talk about Chicago you would think this is National Conference week or something. Can't you people talk about something other than the Windy City. What are you die hard PC'ers or something...ROFLOL...J/k

Oh, I so miss Calvin & Hobbes. We have several of the books. Had to go online to look up Frazz. . .think Waterson has come out of retirement? The drawings are SO similar to Calvin's family. Ann, do you know where in Michigan he is from?
DH borrowed a Frazz book from a coworker, and the author mentions that Waterston is his hero (and mentor, I think). So, no, it's not just a new strip by the same person. I think the author is from the Lansing area, but don't quote me on that.

Ha.... Rae isn't here..... She can't get me this time....:p

If the thought of me in my backwards CS thong and red boa couldn't kill this thing I don't think nothing will!

Jason! Did I miss that at conference, or are you in Wave 3?

I didn't make conference this year. I already had vacation planned for this year. We leave for our cruise on Aug 3rd and I can't wait!!!

  • #2,316
OK- I guess we'll forgive you this year. But you have GOT to bring the thong next year!

  • #2,317

KG says I soot should shoot for blue by next year. But I just do not think I can do it... I need to spend a little less time here and focus more on my business. I need to make spending time here a reward.

  • #2,326
Can you believe this went a day and a half without a post!!!

Paulette... your new siggy line is really bright! Keep CS as a reward... if you want your blue star by next year, figure out how many times you'll need to post and decide how many posts you get as a reward. Then figure out how many good business things you must do to get the rewards... you'll have a growing business AND your BLUE STAR!!!

  • #2,327
dang it.... you found me.... :p

I really don't care about the star thing. I got a little obsessed just before conf. to not think about other stuff goin on arround here.

Is the Siggy too obnoxious? I can tone it down. Sorry I didn't get to meet you in Chicago. Or did I? I saw so many cheffers I can't keep em all straight. Sure was fun though!!!

  • #2,328
Don't tone it down... it is bright, but a good "wake-up" each time I read a post from you!!

WHAT?!?!?!?! You don't remember meeting me??? After all the time we spent together and all those workshops and general sessions????? Oooo... was that me or was it someone else???? Now you have to think about it!!!

  • #2,329
OMGosh!!!! I figured out how to do the AVITAR! Of course I still don't have a picture of myself to put up there! This is huge for me because I just started e-mailing a couple of years ago. This is equivalent to me going to the moon! Who knows, by the end of the year, I might be able to put together a flyer so I won't have to "steal" all of yours!

Hi everyone! I'm back! It was great meeting so many of you! We had tried get togethers in the past with CS and this is the first year we succeeded!!

I don't think I'll ever get through all the posts I missed in the last 2 weeks so I won't even try.

  • #2,332
I noticed that you managed to track this one down, though, Beth. ;)

  • #2,333
Glad you made it home safely, Beth! It was so nice to meet you and give you a big hug.

Hey... I saw you on day 2 right before one of the workshops. I was just about to say "hi" when my upline started talking to me. I turned around to tell her I would be right back and when I turned back around, you were gone. You are very sneaky! Oh well... guess we'll meet in Cincinnati!

I know! That happened several times with different people. It was great to see so many of you in the halls! Meeting the first night was a great idea because then we already knew who to look for!!

PS: I am mad at you Ann! You PROMISED to crop the pictures before posting them!!!!!

  • #2,336
Um... I wanted to have full shots in case anyone wanted to print 4x6 for a scrapbook or anything. There's a cropped version for Avs.

sorry.....

  • #2,337
Ann, I love the avatar of the cow, as you can tell ... :D She takes a better photo than I do ...

  • #2,338
Sandy, I thought the cow pic was so funny! And I'm betting that after the Paige situation is resolved, we'll see a whole bunch of cows in hats as avs. :)

  • #2,339
I'm trying to think of another funny hat to bring to Leadership for another set of pics.

  • #2,340
Hmmm... longer and longer between posts.

maybe everyone is getting tired of this old thread and we need to let it lay.

  • #2,341
Not on your life, Beth.

  • #2,342
Glad to see it's still going strong

  • #2,343
Bang.There. I shot it dead. You can all go home now.

  • #2,345
Um, Beth, there was an Avatar shot of you in the pic thread already cropped - mostly hat. :)

I know but I didn't like that one (no offense). My bangs were goofy... I hate my picture but this one is tolerable - sort of.

  • #2,347
OK. I just didn't know if you saw it. I did crop out the part you specifically mentioned that evening....

  • #2,348
I do appreciate you doing that.

Now go to bed and get your beauty sleep.

  • #2,349
Yes, Momma Beth.Hug! Kiss!Come tuck me in!
