Love your new pic!AJPratt said:Happy Friday. This week flew. (Except while I was at work.)
Thank you... Its so tough to find a picture I like, ya know? I thought I should post it since people say I look so different with my new 'do (although I've had it 6 months). So just in case someone does want to look for me at conference, they'll know what I look like.BethCooks4U said:Love your new pic!
Away was less than accurate. I was still around home, but trying to get some work done at work.cat said:Where were you Ann?

And I have a new obsession. I started making jewelry. A coworker is big into beading, and got me hooked. I made cell charms for the ladies in my cluster (our meeting is tonight). They have white heart-shaped beads with the breast cancer ribbon on them, and the lanyard itself (that hooks to the phone) is pink. They're so cute!! I just ordered $200 of beads and findings (earring hooks, etc). I think I'm going to make some things up and sell them on eBay.
Today I'm wearing a fabulous jewelry ensemble I made last weekend. It consists of a 4-strand lariat necklace, a bracelet and earrings, in animal-print beads. It's stunning, if I do say so myself. I could probably sell it for $100 for the set (easily), and I spent about $50 on the beads and supplies for it.
They say that working with your hands is good therapy.chefann said:And I have a new obsession. I started making jewelry.
So true. BTW Rae, I stole your quote! I have it on my sig line in my emails now (along with "My goal is to help you reach yours" - which I think I made up but I'm sure someone else said it sometime. ). Thanks!raebates said:I figure if you have to ask, you don't want to know.
It's made from abalone that is grade B instead of grade A, hense, B-abalone.BethCooks4U said:What is baloney made out of anyway? I know of no animal called a baloney.

Do you crochet? I have a pattern at home for a reusable shopping bag that's made out of plastic shopping bags. It uses 2 colors (white and blue) to make stripes. So you actually need some from Wally World and some from another store.raebates said:One store insists that their baggers put little red dots on everything that isn't in a bag. For that store I have a few net bags I use. Only at Wal-Mart do I receive plastic bags. They won't let me use "nothing," and I got tired of the third degree about my net bags. It's okay, though. I can find a use for the few Wally World bags.
No, I'm just crotchety.chefann said:Do you crochet?
Yeah, we knew that about you already.The_Kitchen_Guy said:No, I'm just crotchety.

Rae...have I told you how much I love you? I just love the comebacks...I think I heard KG ever so slightly...just for a nano second...speechless!raebates said:Sounds little personal, KG. I'd prefer not to read posts about your crotch, thank you very much.
The Thread Killers Club is a group for people who have a tendency to "kill" online forum threads by being the last person to comment, resulting in no further discussion. To join, simply search for the Thread Killers Club forum and request to join.
If you consistently find yourself being the last person to comment on forum threads, or if you notice a lack of responses after you post, it's likely that you are a thread killer. Don't worry, it's a common phenomenon!
Yes, being a thread killer can have its benefits. You may be the person who sparks a new topic or provides a conclusive answer to a question. Plus, being a thread killer can also be a source of humor and self-awareness.
One way to break the cycle is to actively engage in discussions and ask open-ended questions to encourage others to participate. You can also try to be the first to comment on a new thread instead of waiting until the end.
There may be other thread killers in the community, but don't let that discourage you! The Thread Killers Club is a fun and supportive space for all thread killers, so feel free to embrace your fate and join the club.
