JAE said:I didn't have such a great week this week, but I sure did have fun doing summer stuff! Talked to three neighbors about PC and my pre-fall open house, yesterday. I'm going to the farmers market and Art in the Park today wearing my PC shirt. Let's see what happens.

Leah.. What are you handing out for recruiting. what kind of clues are you keying in on to have people want recruit info?
Has anyone heard the idea of putting a sticker on the YLYW DVD that says something like "If you LOVE your job do NOT watch this!" Then seal the DVD so you can tell if they have watched it. I'm thinking of doing this.

What type of fairs are you getting into and how did you find them? I really want to do something like that, but don't know where to begin. The few things I have called on say that they only are for "crafts".
Please HELP!
BethCooks4U said:Here's a little "help" I passed along to my team. Go to the dollar store or WalMart and get those medicine containers that have the 7 days of the week (KWIM?) - you can get them for $1 - and put in 3 M&M's or 3 mints or 3 pennies or whatever and each time you make a contact you get to take one out (and eat it if it's food). If you don't make all 3 calls you move them over to the next day.
It's a great way to track whether you are really making the contacts or not.
JAE said:I'm here. I'm ignoring this thread because I'm not having a very productive week. Hopefully, I'll get back to everyone tomorrow with good news of reaching my 3 contact/day goals. One contact Monday and one contact today. I guess I need to make 10 contacts tomorrow. Oooo, that could be bad. Guess I'd better make my list.
GourmetGirl said:So I made 2 contacts yesterday -- a past host called wanting to order something. I mentioned that I will be having my mystery host in a few weeks (she won my last one) and she was excited! I also spoke with the guy checking my out at Office Max. He took my mini-catalog and kind of liked the idea of a cooking show for him and his bachelor friends who don't know how to cook. I didn't get his contact information, but I was pretty proud just for talking with him, as I wasn't "in the mood" if you know what I mean. I just put a smile on my face and did it.
Today I talked to 2 people at Target (they both approached me -- I was wearing the sparkly shirt from merrill)... I gave them a mini catalog and spoke with them briefly, but I didn't get contact info, as I was not feeling so well and wanted to get home -- if you know what I mean...
I also made some booking calls and booked another date in August and finally got a hold of my cousin (previous $1,000 host!) who has been out of town, but doesn't use email/voicemail/caller id/any sort of thing from this century. She is calling me tomorrow during the day, so hopefully we can set her date... I have 1 date open in August still (the one a friend had to cancel), 2 dates if I really want (it would mean 3 days in a row of shows followed by a road trip to visit friends...).
I left a message for someone who wants a September date, but I didn't have my calendar set at the time.
Oh yeah, I spoke with a friend who did a show last October for me, who used to be a consultant, and asked if she knew anybody who needed cookware and she said "we do!". I mentioned the host special and then we got cut off when her husband's aunt came over. We will talk this week (we talk almost everyday anyway...)
Today was pretty good and it put me back in the calling seat
And I organized my office a bit last night, so that come my crazy schedule I know where everything is and it all has a place!
JAE said:Amy, that is great! I really need to say more prayers, not just so I get more shows. It's a matter of giving it to God, and letting what happens be okay because I'm doing my part and I know He is doing his.
