lockhartkitchen said:I called to rebook with an October show for November. She's decided to have the show at her friends house, so she's checking Monday at work with the dates I gave her. I packaged a catalog show today after getting an address from a host. Sending out Monday (Nov. caddy). I'm at 8 shows, 2 caddies and one holiday bazaar I'm hosting in November with 10 other vendors. Sunday I'm contacting two more I know wanted to book. I'm shooting for 12.
wow! You are sure to be getting the $6k package!ChefBeckyD said:I'm shooting for 12 cooking shows too. Right now I have 9 (2 are fundraisers) and 5 Catalog Shows. The nice thing about 3 of the cattys is that they are past catalog show hosts who have had great catalog shows for me! The other 2, because they are unproven, I am not holding my breath for or counting on for sales - they will just be icing.

Bren706 said:. I also did some over the phone training with my new recruit. She mentioned that the host from her first show, as well as the host's friend are interested in the opportunity, but my recruit doesn't think she wants to recruit right now, so she may hand them off to me!
I have shows lined up the next two days, so I hope to get some bookings from them!
raebates said:Well, my Tuesday contacts included a call for customer care and a show. There were four "legal" guests and a few teenage girls. (I've had a lot of teenage girls at my shows, lately.) One of the teens voiced interest in the business, so I gave her a recruiting packet and made an appointment to get back with her.
The other four guests booked three shows! One is an October catty to get a Deep Covered Baker. Two are November cooking shows. Actually, since one of those shows is to be co-hosted by two of the guests, everyone at the show booked. Plus, the host had one outside order for a woman who wants to schedule a show. I'll be calling her this evening.
Oh, yeah, and, with outside orders, the show is sitting at just over $500, with "lots of other orders" to collect, according to the host.
I love my job!

Booked 4 shows tonight at my show! 1 Cooking for Nov., (and she took Nov 15 - my closest open date!), 1 Catalog show for November, 1 Cooking Show for Dec., and 1 not sure yet.......she had to leave before I could talk to her about a date (had a fussy baby with her) but she circled a "10" on her guest care card, and underlined it!
I now have 10 Cooking Shows and 6 Catalog Shows for Nov., 4 Cooking Shows and 1 Catalog Show for Dec, and also 3 Cooking Shows for January! Whoo Hooo! (oh wait, I already said that!)
ETA......again, it was the 30 minute chicken that worked it's magic. Of the 3 bookings that I talked to, all of them booked, not because of any host bonus, but because they want to get the DCB for half price!!! I just keep doing chicken and biscuits, and they just keep booking!
Amy - to be honest, I am struggling with host coaching/ccc, etc......I do what I can, but not at the level I was. I have 2 Catalog Hosts for Oct that I haven't spoken to at all.......because I don't have email addys for them, and I am having such a hard time finding evening phone time. I recently started another job w/ my church which also involves some evening & phone time - so lately I feel like I am ALWAYS on the phone, and yet still not on the phone enough!amy07 said:Geeze Louise Becky!! That is awesome!! With that many shows and contacts you are bound to earn whatever incentive you are shooting for, and sign lots of recruits! YOU ROCK!!
Now, how to you manage to keep up with your host coaching. That is the issue I'm having right now with a filled calendar. I'm so afraid that someone (read: catalog hosts) are going to slip thru the cracks. I mean time wise, the best possible time for me to call is betwen 7-9, and so doing host coaching calls, and trying to reach new leads does not leave me much time to do CCC's either.........UGH!! But I guess it's better to have this problem than the alternative right?
ChefBeckyD said:I'd love to hear from some others who have been doing 8-12 shows a month consistently to find out how they do their host coaching and keep up with all of their communication![/QUOTE]
Me too!! ANYBODY?!?!?!?
As it is, I'm ready to hire my neighbors 14yo daughter to come and assemble host packets, and stamp/label catalogs, order forms, etc just to give me some breathing room. Not that I'm specatucular or anything, but it seems like right now I am living/breathing PC and it is wearing me down!

"If you're going to pray for rain, you better be carrying an umbrella!"
That's my issue too! It's hard to keep up when I'm not used to being this busy with shows!

of course, come Jan/Feb when the snow comes and shows are being cancelled/postponed I'll be whining again!!:o
JAE said:Wow, Becky. You are doing so well! You are so busy. I thought I was busy. I had a show Thursday night, and two people wanted to book a show in January. I scheduled one and we even scheduled a snow date. It's a Friday night and I don't normally do those. I know nobody else will want that date. It's out of town but five minutes to my sister's. I'll plan to sleep over. It's not in the first 9 days of January, but I honestly don't care. I'm just glad I got bookings after my totally unfocused evening. I feel like I bombed but then everyone ordered a lot of product and I got two bookings. Works for me!

I closed a party Saturday morning. I attempted to close another party on Saturday afternoon. However, the host had forgotten that I was coming. She had been ill, and hadn't called anyone. Since her party was the one at which only two people showed, it's not a legitimate show. I gave her more time.
I did manage to talk to several people about PC while I was gone and at a non-PC party Saturday night. I can't say I really consider them "contacts," though.
I'll be making calls tomorrow and closing another party.
