Boost Your Success with 3-2-1 Accountability: A Productivity Diary

In summary, Sandy is trying to do 3-2-1 but has trouble getting to 4 contacts a week. Paulette is trying to do 3-2-1 but is not doing well with only 2 shows per month. JAE is trying to do 3-2-1 7 days a week.

I am back after a few days hiatus. I had a table at a bazaar on Saturday from 8-2, which turned out to be a dud. There was hardly any traffic. I paid out more than I will get back. I got two possible bookings, but I am not going to hold my breath on it, and got an order for a batter bowl.

I got home, totally exhausted, and felt like a truck hit me. (my children had colds last week, and it came to me) Sunday, I stayed in my pjs, and basically went back and forth between my bed and the couch, totally exhausted.

I closed out a September catty show, which only came to about $130 (with part of the order being an item the host wanted, so I added a Coating Trays for me, to make it a show, so that she could order a 12" skillet (and I could get my pan-o-rama points).

I also booked a December show. I am hoping to regain my energy (although, I think I may have an ear infection) so that I can make calls this week, as well as get ready for 2 days working the booth at the Holiday Market.

I was gone part of the evening teaching a class at church - came home to the phone ringing. A lady who was at a party last week, calling because she has decided she wanted to have a show......before Thanksgiving! I had ONE date before Thanksgiving when I could possibly do a party.....and she took it! CRAZY!

THEN - I called my host for Thursday night.......only to have her tell me that she may have to reschedule.....seems she has been trying to meet this guy on the internet to buy a puppy from him, and they may be able to meet Thursday evening.....:grumpy: great! She wanted to know if she could reschedule before T-giving.....umm, nope! She says she has outside orders - so that may become a catalog show.

Becky, you amaze me! So, I guess you are going to be like me this Christmas and either shop online or cram all the shopping/wrapping into the 15th-24th? What a great job you are doing with your business!!:D :D

So, last night I closed 2 shows (host came to my house) and had a team member over so she could submit a show. She doesn't have a computer, so she uses our desktop to submit shows. No time afterwards to make calls in the evening, but I did touch base with 2 catty hosts during the day - neither one has anything. I'm not surprised, but I'd be lying if I said that it didn't bother me. Oh well..........

welcome back Rae! Hope you had a blast!!

Thanks! I did!

I made my contacts yesterday, though I had no real concrete, measurable results. I also closed a show. You remember that show where everyone booked? Well, the host booked again for herself and she has another outside order who wants to book. Six bookings with only four guests!

I've always had pretty good bookings at parties. Of course, now that I've said that, I'll get none at my next two dozen shows. :)

Amy - I have already done some of my shopping online! My last show will be the 11th of Dec. and then I will concentrate on Christmas! My director called me this morning to congratulate me! I turned in a show last night that put me over $5000 for the month, and I have 3 more shows to close for this month! She oohed and aahed over my sales and bookings, but then reminded me about recruiting! I love the fact that she continually challenges me - no resting on my laurels with her! She is part of the reason for any success I have - I am so thankful I have a director who is a great leader and friend!

Oh - and I have my share of those $0 sales catty shows....they bother me too.

That is great that you have such a great working relationship with her!! If only the rest of us were so lucky!!  The last time I heard from mine was when the $250 bonus was announced. :grumpy: She called to see how soon my recruits would be qualified, since she gets the bonus too when I promote!

But WOOO HOOO on the months sales. That'll be a nice little deposit!!:D :D

awwww, Becky you're making me giggle & blush!! Thank you!! And yes, I do really care about why each of them is doing this, and I do want them to be successful for themselves and their families. I absolutely LOVE it when one of them calls me to tell me about their shows, whether it is good or bad. Atleast then I feel like they know they can count on me for support!

I had a show last night. About 15 people there and not one booking! I'm still trying to figure out what went wrong!

The host is interested in the opportunity though.

I spoke to a past host today that has collected a $70 order for me. She is decided whether to just add it to a show, or collect a few more orders to make a qualified show for herselk or do my mystery host catty show for Nov.

I still have more calls to make tonight.....

.....

Ellen,it seems like my shows with high attendance do not result in bookings either. i think sometimes people get intimidated, like they can't get that many people in their house.

But if your host is interested in the biz, maybe she shared that with her friends too, and they were afraid to book with you in case she does sign?

back to basics tonight
18 calls, here's the results
9 voicemails
1 host payment - FINALLY!!!
3 host coaching attempts - need to call back - not a good time
1 Successful HC
1 PAST show HC - trying to get some more orders
3 TEAM calls - 1 is certain she will be qualified tomorrow. Another has the shows, "just doesn't have time to submit them"

Tons of email communications today, including a $247!!!! order for my show this Saturday!!!! That just makes me so happy when the show is qualified before I even show up. The host is thru the roof happy - said she is going to redo her wish list tonight!! What a way to start November

Amy's right, Ellen. (Hey, Amy, don't you love it when people say you're right?) Bigger shows often have fewer bookings. I think part of the problem is that people sit there and think, "Man, I could never get this many people in my house." I like to address that during the show. I mention that it's great to have such a huge crowd, but that's not necessary at their party. As for me, I had five contacts yesterday. Firmed up two show dates from a couple of maybes, and got a maybe from a catalog party. I sent her a Think About It booklet with the November and December specials. Catalog party, which put me over my goal for the month. November SAT, here I come!

Well, dang! My Saturday host just flaked on me. Honestly, I'm not completely surprised. Her MIL was trying to convince her that it was a bad time to have a show, since there have been a few parties in their family in the past several months. Suddenly her SIL calls and leaves a message that she has a conflict on Saturday. She wants to reschedule after the first of the year. Now, I'm not saying I don't believe her, but . . . Oh, well. Her loss. Since it was going to be on my birthday, I was going to do all sorts of special stuff for her and her guests. And, yes, she was aware of that. The good spin--I now have my birthday off, and I have plenty of time to get things ready for my show on Sunday. (I don't usually do Sunday shows, but this is a special circumstance.)A final thought: I honestly figured this would be one of those "barely legit" parties, so I can't say I'm really broken up about the cancellation. It's just a bit irritating.

what a great attitude to have Rae!

Well, i got in a host coaching today, picked up an order from a non-catalog show host. Also talked to my 2 team members that I thought would be qualifying today. One has 3 shows in, with the other to be submitted tonight. the other? Well, she's the one who is no hurry to close that $1k September show. Didn't find the time to do it last night, and says that it will definitely go in by midnight tonight. yeah right, and I'm 6' and 110lbs!
But hopefully taking the kids out Trick-or-Treating tonight will help get my mind off of it - it's out of my hands anyways........

Well, I just submitted my last October show! YAY! I made it with about 10 minutes to spare! Plus the host didn't want her 1/2 off items so I was able to get more prep bowls! (I like to give my host a prep bowl full of candy because "she was so sweet and had everything prepped and ready for me when I arrived."

It took 3 contacts in order to submit the show but I realize that doesn't really count.

I did ask a friend if she would participate in my mystery host catalog show, but she's not willing to commit but will ask around to see if she can get some orders anyway.

I also did a host coaching call and confirmed stuff for tomorrows show.

I also spoke to my new recruit and he is coming to watch me do my show tomorrow and have his first show on Sunday! YAY! I think he will do a great job.

  • #1,068
I just submitted my first two shows last night! Yay! Other than that, yesterday pretty much went by the wayside with the holiday. But on Tuesday I handed out four catalogs, got two orders, and 2 potential bookings, and did some host coaching for my Nov 9th show. I may have a potential recruit in that hostess! woot! Feeling like I'm off to a pretty good start.Today I have to make preparations for a craft fair I'm doing on Saturday. Any suggestions? I'm planning on doing a drawing for a free cookbook.

  • #1,069
Yesterday I didn't do much PC - I closed 2 shows.......I still have a catalog show, and a cooking show from Oct. hanging on.....hopefully get those closed yet this week.

Talked to my hosts for Nov 1,3,5 &6...........and that is all I did. the rest was all about my boy, and parties at school, trick or treating at DH's work, Trunk & Treat at Church, and visiting Grandparents!

  • #1,070
ok, I hope you guys are filled to the gills with candy like we are!!!
Well, I think 2 of my recruits last night!! One has emailed me her confirmations, the other "said" she submitted them, but I'm anxiously waiting on the IPT confirmation. I'm so full of nervous energy I don't know what to do. If in fact, they have qualified, then I'm a DIRECTOR!!!!

  • #1,071
So, I got my contacts last night--four to be exact. I turned one maybe into a yes for November, and got to more probablies (I know it's not really a word, but it gets the point across--less than a yes, but more than a maybe). One of those probablies is pretty definite for November. So, I replaced the flaky host who canceled with two cattys. I'm pleased.

  • #1,072
well, made the calls and nothing spectacular to report. Taking care of 2 product adjustments. Two team calls and attempted some host coaching, but just machines...........Oh, and a catty host is requesting an extra week, so who knows maybe it'll be a catty that actually pans out!

  • #1,073
I talked with a few people today. Frankly, I'm wiped out. I'll be going to be early. More contacts tomorrow.

  • #1,074
I talked to two upcoming hosts to firm up recipes for their shows and talked with one girl who I met back in late July and she finally picked a date - January 18th! So now I already have 2 shows for January which I'm psyched about. I have a busy next 5 days - 2 vendor events and 2 shows but looking for some bookings from them and my contacts.

  • #1,075
I just got back from a show. A little over $500 in sales but again, NO BOOKINGS! One of the guests is in the process of having a catalog show (for my Director I found out), so no one wanted a show of their own b/c they still had to order from her.

  • #1,076
Booked a show for November (thanks to my SIL's referral)! It's technically a catalog show, but I will be brining in a recipe to the hospital where the "show" is being held.

Called a potential booking. She said no for now but maybe in the spring and then ordered a slice and serve from me.

Meeting with a past host to pick up some checks later (don't really call that a contact though)

Still have lots of calls and HC'ing to do today.

Hope everyone else is making some progress.....

  • #1,077
Yay! Made lots more calls since my post earlier!

Lots of answering machines but some really great host coaching calls and some customer care calls. Handled two people's product adjustments.

I also made one November catalog show into a cooking show!

That makes 10 cooking shows, 3 catalog shows, 1 mystery host catalog show (I still need 6 people for it to work though) and 1 person that is collecting orders to either give to me, or keep for herself if she signs up!

Only one for December though so I need to keep calling this week.

Go Ellen, Go Ellen, Go Ellen! That is a great schedule you've got going - especially for SAL!!

Back from a show - good attendance but only 2 people placed orders. So, not even a "show" right now. ***sigh**** Of course, everyone took a catalog and said they will give the host their orders on Sunday at church so who knows. BUT, I'm really hoping to sign the host as 3 of her friends want to do a show, and it was quite a distance from me and I really don't want to make the drive again. BUT, I'm not one to turn down a show either, so if she doesn't sign I'll take another road trip:eek:

Also, closed an Oct show today and making some product adjustments. Also have some calls to return in the am - too late now!! he he he

I participated in a youth outreach event last night. I spoke with a few people through the day about PC, though, so I got my contacts. No visible results, though.

show today was a first for me, in that she CLOSED at the show!! That was weird, I've never had a host so ready and KNOW EXACTLY what she wanted. Kinda cool. 3 dated bookings (2 Jan, 1 Feb), another possible but she is also a STRONG recruit lead. She is the host's daughter, and I told her that if she signs, I will give her the 3 bookings from her mom's show. They were all family, so I KNOW they would rather do a show for her than me!!

Oh, I got "THE" call yesterday from HO!! I actually missed it, I was getting my kids off the bus so I had to call back. I was really nervous, since other cheffers say that it usually takes until after the 10th to get the call. So I was worried that one of my recruits shows didn't go thru or was on hold and it was holding up promoting. But nope, it's official, I'm a Director!! Now, to keep recruiting!!

Well, here I am again! I haven't posted too much this week, as I have been battling an ear infection. This week I did some host coaching and closed out a few shows for October. But, there is some excitement in that. I made my $15,000 career sales! Yay! I had a shift on both Friday and today for our booth at the Holiday Market. Out of about 40 leads, I would say about 10 are really interested in booking, with about 8 more maybe's. I also took $375 in orders!!! What a start to the SAL!

I plan on making follow up calls on Monday and Tuesday. I have shows on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday this week, so that will be the only chance to make calls.

I love this thread. Just reading how everyone else is doing, keeps me motivated.

I had a Holiday Market today - got about $200 in orders and a rep from Lia Sophia wants to book a show (probably in Jan) as she's in the middle of kitchen renovation. I have a show tomorrow afternoon and Tuesday and am hoping for many more bookings - go sell-a-thon!

submitted a show, talke to an upcoming host, and another that I'm trying to close. Not feeling well tonight, so not wanting to make the calls either.......back to work tomorrow!

  • #1,087
I received an e-mail this morning from someone that stopped at the Holiday Market booth yesterday and wanted me to call her. She wants some product, so she needs a catalog. Made one host coaching call. Other than that, I normally don't make calls on Sunday, so that one contact was a Bonus!! I have many, many, many calls to accomplish tomorrow!

  • #1,088
My show today cancelled so no contacts for me. (well, no one was coming so it turned into a catty show instead)

I will make lots this week though as my month officially gets crazy in a few days.

  • #1,089
So I guess I did make a few contacts today. Unfortunately it was my show today that cancelled (turned into the catty show)

and now the combo show I was supposed to do the 13th just "postponed" till December some time.

RATS! And I was so excited about having 10 cooking shows!

At least I have 2 for December now but I really wanted it for the SAT!

So, I did a rare Sunday show. She closed that night, with $500+ in sales and three bookings.

I try not to work PC on Sundays, and I especially make a point not to mix my PC business with Church.....but yesterday it just kept happening! A host for the end of the month sat in front of me in church......and wanted to ask me questions after the service.......I ran into a host from last week in the Atrium, and she wanted to talk about her delivery date. Then ran into someone who booked for Jan. from her show.......then went down to the Cafe' at church, and one the volunteers working there is in the middle of a catalog show.....and one of the other volunteers got all excited about the fact that I am a PC consultant....and wanted to ask me some questions about stoneware....and mentioned that she didn't have a consultant anymore, and would like a catalog........

The funny thing is, the vast majority of my shows are not with people from church....and I go to a very large church, and can go several weeks w/o seeing a host from a show......it was just funny that yesterday every time I turned around I was running into one!:D

So - those were my only PC contacts yesterday!

  • #1,093
Okay, so this afternoon I had to rush my boxer to the vet b/c her whole head was swollen. They gave her a shot and she's getting better.

When I was paying, the girl noticed my red PC yoga jacket and asked "Do you work for Pampered Chef? I love Pampered Chef!" I ended up leaving her a mini catalog. I think I will take a full size one in tomorrow and get some contact info for follow-up.

Then at Bunco tonight, I collected 3 different orders for my SIL's party.

So, I made over 3 today. How about everyone else?

  • #1,094
Hmmm, yesterday - I called a couple hosts who had delivery of products Fri/Sat.....both said it was so much fun seeing what everyone else bought - and made them want even more!
Then, my SD called to congratulate me on my Oct sales and bookings (12 shows, $5330 in sales, 19 bookings) and to chat with me a little on balancing my business when doing 10-12 shows a month. She is so incredible....I am so thankful for my upline, and realize I am blessed to have such great women as my support!

Then, I had a show last night - right now, $650 in sales, with one dated booking for January, and one who hasn't dated a show yet....but has said she'll let me know by the closing date. PLUS 2 women very interested in signing.....one is sooooo close. She hosted a show in Jan, and ended up doing her own demo and show because I got very sick and couldn't be there. She had a $500 show! Since then, I have been talking with her about doing this - and she wants to, but has some issues she needs to work through - a bad past experience with a PC consultant, and she has also gone inactive twice as a CM consultant.......
The other woman is working retail, and looking for a way out - she loves the idea of PC, and I sent her home with a DVD.

Yesterday, I made lots of calls. The day started out with a 11/17 host calling me to cancel. She has a lot of family issues going on. She told me I can follow up sometime next year. And then I received a call from my 11/18 host. She wanted to discuss preparation for her show, recipes, AND.........becoming a consultant!!!! We are going to get together Friday for coffee. I also talked to my current team member a little.

Then, with the rest of the calls, I booked 4 more shows, (Filled my 11/17 cancellation, booked a December, and 2 January shows.).

3 more people that I spoke to asked me to call back. (2 within the week, and one in Dec.)

4 others were not interested in having shows, but gave me their e-mails to receive my newsletter. (They entered the drawing for the cookbook, which was my Advanced Director's decision)

Did a host coaching call, and left messages with 3 more leads. I also sent an e-mail and left a message for someone who has a friend that is interested in the opportunity.

I need to make some more calls tonight, as I have a show Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday this week.

made my contacts yesterday, nothing great to report other than I did finally close an Oct show. Also a past host who was very interested in the biz but DH said "no way" gave me her order for her booking benefit and she brought up the opp again. I told her that I KNOW that she would be a star, and she thinks so to, but her DH is still against the idea. I told her that maybe they could reach a compromise - 2 shows/month. She's thinking more about it......

Made 4 contacts yesterday. The result was one maybe turned into a, "Yes, I want to do one in December, but I'll be having it at my MIL's house, and we need to pick a date." I told her my calendar's filling up quickly. We should have a scheduled date in the next couple of days.

Rae - that is funny, because this morning I finally got a date from a host...because she is having her show at her mom's house, and they had to agree on a date!:D
