Boost Your Success with 3-2-1 Accountability: A Productivity Diary

In summary, Sandy is trying to do 3-2-1 but has trouble getting to 4 contacts a week. Paulette is trying to do 3-2-1 but is not doing well with only 2 shows per month. JAE is trying to do 3-2-1 7 days a week.

I only had two contacts today. Both were at another party I attended for another DS company. One was with a person who had been to a show a while ago. She said that she was still getting my emails and that her mom wants to host closer to summer. So I gave her a new catalog. The other was with another guest at the show who mentioned that she recognized my name as a PC consultant. She was interested in placing an order, but not having a party. I will send her a catalog and follow up.

I had a date with DH last night, so I chose to make it JUST a date and didn't wear PC anything - just had a nice time by ourselves.

But I'd had my 5 bookings show earlier in the day - so those were my contacts!

JAE - Yea for you! I'm glad the idea worked. I bet you were pumped leaving the show!

Sarah - The idea for 1/2 off the host bonus was something I heard on a bookings cd. Like JAE, I am only offering it during the incentive time, and letting them know that it is a one time deal because of an incentive I am trying to earn.
I really really really want to earn Conference for free this year! So - if they have a $400 April show, and close by April 14th, they can get the salad spinner for $10, or the new bowl for $5. JAE and I had discussed doing this because here in this area, We have Easter Week in March, and then Spring Break in April, so it's taking some incentives to get people to book during that time!

Janet - Wow - what a way to brighten up a boring class! Good for you! The way your bookings are going, you are going to be booked solid (for your schedule!) Watch it - Yvonne's going to be coming after you!:D (in a good way)
Sorry about your car though.:(

And you are right! I have done several interactive shows now, and every one has been as different as the crowd attending. That just may be why I enjoy them so much ~ should have figured it out before, but this new format is giving me the freedom to have so much more fun at my shows.

Okay girls, my computer is STILL Crashed! I want to cry right now! I haven't been doing so well on my 3-2-1, but my hubby let me have almost 2 hours alone on the phone last Thursday and it resulted in one March booking and one recruit! So I still need to do my contacts b/c I still only have 2 shows for March and 2 for April. I have to do better than that!

  • #1,754
I don't have 3-2-1 news but good news!!!! I talked to the insurance and we do not have to pay a deductible for the type of accident - yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I may still be able to get rid of my 14 year old carpet this year!!!!Well, off to the Fire Dept. for a meeting soon.Oh wait, I did leave a catalog at the Red Cross office when I stopped today...

  • #1,755
Made a couple of contacts today. One scheduled a show for April 20th. Another is busy right now, and gave me permission to follow up in the fall.

Otherwise, two more people told me to call back tomorrow, and I left quite a few voicemails as well. Things are looking grim for March. I only have 3 shows on the books right now. :( I guess I just have to keep working the phone.

  • #1,756
I'm so amazed that I just found out about this conference 1/2 off or free incentive. I have hardly any time to do anything about it. Because of spring break, Good Friday, band concert, I only have about 2 weeks worth of time to have shows during the time of this incentive. Where was I? I have two shows on the calendar for this time, maybe one more after tomorrow. I talked to two people to get dates today. Left message for another. Had a show tonight and asked 7 people about having a show. All "no's". One person is getting married in October, so I think I'll get the shower for that. I asked my host from Saturday if she had thought about becoming a consultant because I have 6 bookings from her show. Not right now. I also asked one of the ladies from the show if she was seriously thinking about becoming a consultant. She said maybe in 2 years! I couldn't really spend time talking when she called me back, so I quick told her she could have all six shows. I'll send her something in the mail tomorrow and call her Wednesday when she is supposed to e-mail addresses to me. So I had 8 contacts on Saturday and 8 contacts today. I'm good for a few days! :) I'll keep calling tomorrow because I want to fill March 24, 25, 27 and 29, my only available dates for the incentive period.

  • #1,757
Just took some time to make some calls to some of those "call me for a date" bookings......

Have a solid booking now for March 24, and another for April 3!!! Yahoo! I have 7 Cooking Shows and 2 Catalog Show within the time frame to earn free conference, and a recruit who says she will sign on the 16th. I have 3 more dates that I can fill within that time period.....so I'll keep trying - but it looks like at least 1/2 off conference is within reach!

  • #1,758
Three contacts today. One is a good customer who asked about getting a shower gift in time for Saturday. I told her the added costs are pretty steep. I suggested one of my gift certificates. She loved the idea, so I sent it out today. The weather's really yucky today, so I'm hoping to catch lots of people in.

  • #1,759
I made some of my contacts earlier in the day, and just now talked to another guest from a Bridal Show I did last month. She booked for June 10, and is interested in becoming a consultant. I know, I know - I should have pushed for an earlier date.....but she is really wanting a June show, and that is when she would like to also start her business. It needs to be her time too, and not just about me!

I now have 2 shows booked for June. I am looking that far ahead, because I want the SAT products! I am on vacation the 20th-30th of June, so all of my shows have to be closed by the 18th.

Go Becky!
I didn't make any contacts today for PC. But, I'm ahead for the week with Saturday's and Monday's shows. I was actually planning to make calls, but I had to usher a symphony concert this morning at church and I had a sick child home today. You know the kind of sick child that is actually getting over an illness but can't be in school? Helped him with homework. Made some calls for delivering product from my own show. I did return an e-mail from a host who had to cancel because of sickness. She wants a date at the end of March. When she gets back to me, I'll count it as a contact. Guitar lessons, post office, niece's volleyball match, dinner, called a host who didn't get her guest list to me, now I'm beat. It doesn't seem like that much, but I was going all day. I could barely get myself to eat lunch, I was so busy. I was putting together a recruit packet while trying to help ds with homework while trying to eat lunch while e-mailing a potential host while calling a guest who ordered from my show while deciding whether I was going to call HO about a return (not today). I'm sure you all know exactly what I'm talking about. Anyway, now I'm watching American Idol. I can barely keep my eyes open.

  • #1,761
no contacts today. I had about 4-5 voicemails under my belt, and still more calls to make, but my SIL and nephews arrived here at my other SIL's (where we are staying on vaca this week) for a visit, so it cut right into my phone time! :(

  • #1,762
Where is everyone?

I had a busy day yesterday with my other job - meetings, and teaching last night - so I didn't make any phone calls, other than to my newest recruit. She is so on fire! I am picking up a quick start kit for her today from my director - she already has 3 shows booked, and it working on more. She is going to study her quick start kit until the 16th, and shadow me at a couple shows....and then be ready to go as soon as she gets her Product Package! Whooo Hoooo!

Oh - and my recruit who does 2 shows a year - just enough to qualify for getting the new products for 50% off.....yep - she turned in a show yesterday!

  • #1,763
I also talked to my newest recruit yesterday morning, but no other phone calls for the day. I am actually out of state, visiting my home town for the week, so we have been visiting with family; last night it was dinner at my sister's house for my nephew's bday. I am going to dinner with a friend of mine tonight, so I may wear PC logo, and try to make a contact tonight.

  • #1,764
Brenda-
Where in MA are you again?

  • #1,765
Lee/Lenox (The Berkshires)

  • #1,766
My three contacts for today were:

~My SIL who told me she would do a catty show for me.
~Ran into an acquaintenance, who is a cousin of a former friend of mine. We chatted, and I let her know I sell PC. I left her with my business card!
~Went to dinner with a friend. She told me she was looking for a Trifle Bowl, so I told her about how great ours is!

  • #1,767
have you missed me?I was in a funk.......
and then I got sick.:yuck: I even had to give a show to one of team members since I couldn't do it. But yeah for her, it'll qualify her!

BUT I had a great moment of clarity the other day about why I LOVE PC and I am ready to get back in action! Made my calls last night and signed a team member this morning! :D  :D

Thank you Brenda for checking on me!

  • #1,768
   I come back and everyone leaves?

hope you are all out doing shows! Had one today, and took my new recruit with me. Host signed!!:D  :D

sent some more recruiting emails. Now to get some shows booked. Calendar is bare!

  • #1,769
Alright Amy~How many recruits is that for you??!!!

  • #1,770
Welcome Back, Amy!!!!!!!!

Another recruit!!!! Oh My!!!!! Hooray for you.

No contacts yesterday. I went to dinner with my DH and all of his siblings and their spouses, so that cut into my phone time. Today, was travel day. We came back home from our week trip. No new contacts today as well.

Well, I did have one contact via e-mail. A high school classmate e-mailed me two days ago about our upcoming reunion. She wanted to make sure she had the right address, as I was one of the missing names. So, of course, I have my contact info in my signature line. I received an e-mail from her today, asking about our spatulas with the curves in them. Maybe it will result in an order.

I did close out one show today at $600. (from Feb.). The only thing that may save my lousy March is that I still have 4-5 catty/kitchen shows to close out from February. Otherwise, I only have 3 catty shows and 3 cooking shows on the books for March, and......................currently, 2 of those March hosts are MIA! UUUGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!

  • #1,771
Brenda, i feel your pain on the bare calendar! Proof positive to me that the 3-2-1- in absolutely positively necessary for me to maintain my business at the level I want. Luckily I do have some productive catalog shows going on right now. I only know that because of their online activities.;)

Sarah, right now for this TPC year I have 13 signed recruits (14 career):sing: I am working really hard to get TPC in recruiting. But i have quite a bit of work to do, as 2 will not count (1 is a kitnapper, the other went inactive before qualifying). So right now I have 7 qualified. Of the remaining, 1 has the shows complete for qualification (just need to close), 1 has 2 complete, and the other 2 just signed yesterday & today.
I NEED 4 MORE:eek:

  • #1,772
Amy, tell us a little more about the recruiting e-mails! Are they just e-mails to follow up on a list of potential recruits? Care to share some of the content?

  • #1,773
I just sent the ones from our PWS to myself and then forward it to my leads. I think it makes it more personal to come from my personal email. I've also sent ones about the new consultant promotions.
My recruit yesterday was a result of following up with the email, she contacted me after receiving it. But the key is following up with the calls too. Another one of my leads from my last batch (past host) was at today's show where the host signed, and she told me she is still very interested but due to some family conflicts coming up it's "not her time". But to stay in touch, she's thinking June.
I wish I could say it was something fantastic, but it's really not. I just try to keep PC on their mind.

  • #1,774
I had ZERO contacts today. I am/was supposed to have a show tomorrow after church, but the host never called me back even after I left an "if I don't hear from you I will assume you have turned your show into a catalog show or have postponed." I don't even have directions to her house AND she lives an hour away.

If the show doesn't happen, I will make a ton of calls tomorrow instead.

  • #1,775
took care of some product adjustment issues today. Attempted some host coaching and team calls. Seems one of my inactives has a show ready to submit, so yay!
I'm really going to try to crank up my biz this month. I want to recruit 2 more this month and fill my calendar like crazy again! I'll be working the phone like crazy tomorrow!

  • #1,776
Been busy. Made my contacts most days, but took a mini break on Friday. Made up for it with 12 contacts on Saturday at a show that garnered bookings by 8 people. (Okay, it is actually 3 bookings with co-hosts, 1 single booking, and 1 maybe, but 8 people looks much more impressive. :))Here's the fun part. The single booking was from someone who the hosts hadn't even met. One of the guests brought her 13-year-old granddaughter. The granddaughter brought a friend. Just before the show started, the friend called her mom to check in. She mentioned that she was at a PC party, and her mom said she wanted to book a show. I'll be sending her the upcoming specials in Monday's mail so she can pick a date.Have I mentioned lately that I love my job?

  • #1,777
Just made one real contact today. A friend of mine is going to get back to me by tomorrow to let me know whether or not she will do an April show.

  • #1,778
I had recently sent out some catalogs in a bulk mailing - I got 2 emails for orders and one past host called and booked an April catalog show - gotta love it! My April has 3 cooking/2 catalog shows and at my show on Friday night - I already got a booking for July 11th! I love people who aren't afraid to commit to a date:)

  • #1,779
Picked up the phone this evening and only reached 2 people, with no great results to report.

I did receive a call from a MIA February catty host, and we are very close to closing out her ($200) show. I also got an e-mail from a MIA March (14th) host. She wants to change her cooking show to a catty show. UGH!

I am going to try making some calls during the day tomorrow to see if that makes a difference in reaching folks on the other line or not.

  • #1,780
got'em in,
clerk at PO - don't call me, I'll call you
possible FR for local organization
1 June show booked

host coaching via email - the only way these 2 will communicate with me. Drives me crazy sometimes!:yuck:

  • #1,781
I had a show tonight and about 10 people were there. I only had a chance to ask a couple people if they would be interested in having a show. I just needed to get out of there because it was a long distance drive on a school night, and I had the kids with me. No more of that! Only Friday's and Saturdays if I have to go farther than an hour. Ugh! Left the show with about $365 in sales. Hoping it gets to $500 to make it worth my time and drive.

  • #1,782
I haven't gotten in any contacts in the past week or so due to all the "drama" going on with me. I did have a nice surprise tonight though. A past host called to place an order, but when she heard the total (she wanted a lot) she decided to go ahead with a catalog show. Yipee!! This is a motivated host as well, so hopefully it will end up being a good show.

  • #1,783
Had a show last night with 12 people in attendance. Sales were low - sometimes the crowd is just like that. $350 right now. BUT, I did get an April Booking (someone who I knew was going to book a catalog show, but decided to turn it into a Cooking Show ~ yahoo!), and also a booking for June. I now have 3 June bookings, so that is exciting!

Also have a great recruit lead - and I am excited about her! She was so much fun as a guest, and I used a Jillian line, and told her that I would love to have her on my team! We are talking by phone today to schedule a time to meet.

I had a new recruit with me observing my show - she is signing on the 16th, but is already getting started. She has her shows lined up, and we are meeting tomorrow morning to go through her Quick Start Box.....it was fun doing some training with her at the show too.

  • #1,784
Had three contacts yesterday, including one request for a catalog.

  • #1,785
I still have contacts to make today. Here are mine so far:

1 inactive recruit told me she has NO intention of becoming active again.

My host for this Thursday just EMAILED to tell me she had to post pone. No date for a new show set yet.

I did however get a booking for April 10th. (Finally~ some good news!)

  • #1,786
my contacts for yesterday didn't result in any bookings/recruits. Only a request to see a catalog, hoping to get a show out of that one. Still working on my kids' bus driver to do a show too. I need bookings bad! Falling off the calling wagon has taken a HUGE toll on my business. Lesson learned.
I also did my team meeting last night, so that took calling time. Had to get the contacts in during the day. Proved to myself that it is possible.

  • #1,787
The few calls made last night resulted in answering machines, so no contacts. I did get an e-mail from a MIA host wanting to reschedule her show, and a phone call from another postponing hers from March 29th to April 5th (again!). So, now I have ZERO cooking shows for March!!!!

  • #1,788

  • #1,789
team calls/coaching
did send an email to a few of my contacts about the outlet resulting in an online order
also some orders from a past host for 2 shows booked from hers that I am trying to close

I feel you pain Bren! I too have ZERO for March due to the only 2 I had cancelling. I do have a fundraiser that's around $200 but I am donating my commission to that.

It's gonna stink not getting a paycheck for a month! UGH!

Guess there's still time? I better try to focus on April and get this dreaded month out of my mind.

  • #1,791
attempted calls, mostly machines. had an inactive team member come over tonight to submit a show!! YAYYYY!

  • #1,792
Had one contact last night via phone, and made 1 contact today.

Today's call was to thank a customer from a December show that submitted another order thru my website two weeks ago. I told her I was sending her a SB book. I will be adding her to my newsletter list, and will follow up in May about a possible late spring/early summer show. (She has a 2 1/2 month old baby right now, so she wants to wait a few months.)

Another person that I reached tonight was just getting out of the show and said it was okay to call back tomorrow evening.

  • #1,793
I spoke with a past host that is considering co-hosting a show with her neighbor. I gave her the flyers for April, May and June.

I am going to attempt to make some more calls tonight (although with DH gone to a meeting I am not sure how successful that will be.)

  • #1,794
I had only one contact yesterday. I spend the vast majority of the day helping my friend get a wig. She has ovarian cancer and just started chemo.

  • #1,795
Made my calls. I have 7 contacts for the day, with 1 order and 1 probable order. Here's the fun part. I was doing my CCCs, when I realized I had a voice mail. I checked, and it was the mother of one of the women I had just called. She was another guest at the same party, but I hadn't gotten to her name on my list yet. She was calling because she was at her daughter's house when I'd called the daughter. Mom had bought the Chillzanne Rectangular Server for a friend. She fell in love with it and wanted to order one for herself. She'll put the check in tomorrow's mail. :)BTW, the way she gave the gift was cute. She and her friend go to the same church. They were having a dinner, so she took deviled eggs in the Chillzanne Server. Her friend oohed and ahhed over the server and asked where she'd gotten it. She said, "It's Pampered Chef, and it's for you."In addition to being a cute way to give a gift, it's a good way to avoid taking home a dirty dish. Smart woman. :)

  • #1,796
no phone contacts yesterday, but plenty by email. several booking leads to follow up on from an email I sent out about the outlet.
Also a catalog host told me yesterday (via email) that she is ready to sign! woo hoooo! We'll be doing her agreement on sunday (fingers crossed)
oh, and I did get some orders from those emails so that is really good as my sales are horrible this month!:yuck:

Good Morning Amy!

Whooo Hoooo!!! you are going to get there for TPC!

Hey - I actually have someone signing this week! She has her quick start box, and she has been to a show and a cluster meeting with me - we are just waiting til it's a bit closer to when her shows are scheduled, so she can qualify in her 30 days (her first show is April 5th)....and I have another girl who was a guest at a show last week who is meeting with me this week about signing!

For myself - yesterday I closed 2 shows......7 bookings between the 2 shows!
April is looking great - 7 shows and 1 Catalog show right now, and I have 2 bookings for May, 3 for June, and 1 for July......if I could just get the recruiting part down.....

  • #1,798
I got ALL answering machines yesterday. I am feeling pretty discouraged right now. I DO have 3 shows for April booked all before the 14th so that is good but I need to get about 5 more on my calendar and I have NO more shows this month.

  • #1,799
Ellen, I am feeling the very same way! It seems all I have gotten lately are answering machines! I only have 3 shows in the entire month of April right now (and March is bare!). But, I think I am giving up too soon on those phone calls. (half of it is due to distractions).

Today, I reached two people, one is not interested at all. She had placed an outside order in December and will be attending another show in a couple of weeks. The second person was also from an outside order with the same show. She is out of state. This was her first time ordering from the Pampered Chef. I am sending her the new catty, with the specials, and will follow up with her about doing a catty show. I also got her e-mail for my newsletter list.

  • #1,800
some email communications including online orders and product adjustments. Need to get my rear in gear and get some shows booked quickly! thankfully i have some catty's going, but you never know if they are going to pan out! I've lost my umpff lately. Need to get the show schedule back up so that i can hopefully get the last few recruits I need for TPC
