Boost Your Success with 3-2-1 Accountability: A Productivity Diary

In summary, Sandy is trying to do 3-2-1 but has trouble getting to 4 contacts a week. Paulette is trying to do 3-2-1 but is not doing well with only 2 shows per month. JAE is trying to do 3-2-1 7 days a week.

ok, I'm thinking I'm the OFFICIAL thread killer again..........three posts in a row with noone else in? Yep, its me!:yuck:

so, I did sign another recruit and am going to make some more calls to get some random orders - my math was wrong for the cruise. I still need like $300+/-. Can anyone say cookware?!?!!?

  • #1,352
Great job on signing another recruit Amy! And good luck on getting your last $300 - you'll get the cruise:) I've been busy as well - got a call last night at 10 pm from a past guest who booked her show for Feb. 29th - I told her she waited 4 years for such a great date (being leap year and all - she chuckled) - I also got a date set for Feb 8th through an email I sent out regarding the outlet. The girl decided to host instead of just purchasing products off the outlet - yea for me! So now I have 2 cooking/1 catalog show for Jan. and 3 cooking shows in Feb (all Friday nights!) - this is the busiest beginning of the year schedule I've had since starting in September '05. I really want to earn a trip this year! Don't worry Amy - no thread killer here.

  • #1,353
Amy you are awesome! I am sure that $346 will come from somewhere! I have closed out all my shows for the year, and am now trying to get a little host coaching in for my January hosts. I just sent out my first round of letters today, and have e-mails out to request guest lists (I am going to try mailing the invites myself).

Other than that I have been a little laid back on 3-2-1, and am trying to catch up housework, etc.

  • #1,354
Amy - I am amazed that you were able to sign someone this close to Christmas - showing us it can be done!No 3-2-1 going on here.....I have sent out a series of letters to my January Hosts - but am not asking for any guest lists until after Christmas - my first show is the 14th, so I'm not worried about it.I've been baking, cleaning, working at my job at church, and spending some time just hanging out with my guys.I did today book another show for January - thanks to a lead from a fellow cheffer - :D (Thanks Tracey!) I had 10 Cooking shows, but then gave 2 away to a recruit, so was actually happy with 8 Cooking, and 1 Catalog.....but now, I have found myself back up to 10 Cooking shows for January (and 1 catalog) - and I have 7 on the books for February right now. Now - if I could just get the recruiting machine going like Amy, I'd be all set!I'm sure that after Christmas, I'll be on here needing a big kick in the tushie from you guys to get me motivated and going again!

!

***blushing*****thanks for all the kudos guys. And to be honest Becky, it hit me on the way home that I'm not so sure this family celebrates Christmas. I didn't see a tree or any decorations. But then again, maybe it was somewhere else in the house.

But looks like you must have signed a new recruit too Becky - if you've given up some shows.......do tell........no secrets here!!

We are all going to have a spectacular year in 2008 - just by being focused on making our contacts we canNOT fail!!

Hey Amy and Everyone!
I only avoid this thread because I'm not doing my 3-2-1! I booked January show number 8 yesterday or the day before. I can't remember, but she called me. I had called her a few times, and she finally called back. I gave her a packet at a show in November, so it was a little expected. I'm expecting that some of my January shows may not hold because of snow. My goal is 8 shows a month, but I'd rather not have 4 shows in one week! That's what I have.

  • #1,357
hope you guys have a great 2008. Some things have been going on that have been really bugging me, so I'll just be a lurker and no longer a poster. I've had a few cheffers talk about negativity and things being "cliquey" and I have to say that I agree. Seems the "in" crowd can only encourage those in their "pool". Thanks for all the encouragement and tips, I really have appreciated them!

Oh no Amy! I will miss your posts! You have been so encouraging to me! I pretty much only come on here for 3-2-1 these days and am not aware of any "drama." That's not what I'm here for. Sorry to see you leave!

As for me, I haven't been posting b/c I haven't been doing my 3-2-1. My business shows it too. Still only have 2 cooking and 2 catalog shows for january. After Christmas I hope to get back to my 3-2-1.

Yeah! What she says! You, Becky, Rae, and others have been very encouraging to me. Those times that I am not doing my 3-2-1, I read everyone else's posts for inspiration, and get right back on that phone! Sorry to see you leave as well!

Me too! And I am a little confused - because I had thought that this thread especially was always very encouraging, positive, and upbeat - as well as business building.......

Wanted to say Merry Christmas to all of you - I'm done until after Christmas (well, except for the host I have to call today because I just found out I need to change the date for her show! ) but after the Holiday, I'll be back here looking for inspiration, encouragement, and a kick in the seat if needed!:D

  • #1,361
Amy come back out. Don't let a few people stop you from being yourself and even if it is just one person you inspire I definitely know that it is worth it. But you have been touching and inspiring many people by your upbeat attitude so I say keep it coming and let them be the ones to sign off and not you.

Merry Christmas everyone from us here in the South!

  • #1,362
Merry Christmas fellow PC'ers! Have a blessed holiday!

(then after the holidays, it's back to 3-2-1! LOL!)

  • #1,363
Okay Everyone! Back to 3-2-1 today! My goal today is to make contact with all of my hosts for January (11 of them!), chat with my new recruit (as of Dec 31st!), talk with my recruit who is signing this month, and call all of those "call me after the Holidays to get a date" people. My goal is to have February filled by the end of the week.

Happy New Year all!
Wow I never imagined when I started this post that it would still be going strong 6 months later!
I have been taking a bit of a break from CS because I have been so busy with other things.. (not PC unfortunately) So I need to get back on the 321!

I really want to get my life organized again and back on track with a regular PC Schedule. I seem to have such difficulty giving every aspect of my life equal time. You know Family, house, friends and business. I really think if I can start back on the 321 it will help balance all areas of my life.

So ladies (and gents)...... Keep up with your 321! I am here to cheer all of you on. Together we can have a great business!!!

Welcome Back Paulette! We can do it together!

  • #1,366
Welcome Back Paulette!! I know what you mean about trying to divide your time equally. What a daily challenge!

I am so ready to do 3-2-1 consistently! I have been making a couple calls here and there over the holidays. Tonight, I will start making those ccc calls!!

  • #1,367
Well, It's time to get back on the phone again!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't get the full 3 contacts today, but I did get 2.

One of those contacts booked a mid-February show. (It was actually a reschedule from a November cancellation) The other contact wants to check her schedule. I will follow up with her in a few weeks.

I got a few machines, and a few people were either "on the other line" or in bed with the flu, or "in the middle of something, and will call me back". Oh, and a couple phones were disconnected.

I also left a few messages for some of my January hosts.

Anyone else get on that phone today and do their 3-2-1???

  • #1,368
Me, me, me! I did!!

I am actually so proud of myself because after a great talk with DH a few days ago we both made the commitment to setting aside a 1/2 hour each evening for me to go in our room and make calls. Tonight was the official first night and I was actually really nervous. To make matters worse, my first call was to someone who was a bit annoyed that I called. (Why give me your work number or cell number if you don't want me to call on it??) She did ask me to call next week...right before she hung up on me!:yuck:

So I just set aside the even more nervous feelings and made a couple more calls. Got a hold of one person who doesn't want to host but does want a new catalog when they come out. Left two voicemails and have to call another one back.

Not bad for my first day. Can't wait for tomorrow! Hopefully I'll get some shows booked!!!

  • #1,369
Okay, finally got back to my 3-2-1 today!

No bookings but all 3 people I spoke to want to place an order for this month. They should all be getting back to me within the next week or two.

Hopefully tomorrow's calls will reap some bookings!

  • #1,370
UGH!!!!! I just got an e-mail from my 1/21 hostess, cancelling her show! That is the THIRD one this month! I am down to 7 kitchen and 1-2 catty shows now. I really need to make 3-2-1 work now!

I just got an email from my 1/19 host too! She is canceling because her husband snow-plows as a 2nd job, and she never knows when he may need work - so she now wants to wait until Spring......:( Her show was one that I knew was going to be a big $$ show, so I'm really disappointed!

Let's work hard tonight to get those bookings Brenda!

Today's calls included

~2 calls to customers that had expressed interest in puchasing Stoneware mid last year. As of tonight, one did not have the money after the holidays, etc, but I can follow up at the end of this month. The other one is getting ready to move into a new house, and does not want to add anything extra in the packing process right now.

~A guest from a November show that did not purchase anything, but checked maybe on having a January or February show. She is busy right now and asked that I call back early next month for a possible February or March show.

~A lead from the Holiday Market in November. I had left messages in the past, and finally reached her today. She noted that she already has a consultant, and is not interested in the free cooking show.

I also talked to 2-3 hosts today. Another host's phone is now temporarily disconnected!  I hope this does not mean another cancellation! I am going to send her an e-mail tonight, and possibly send something in the mail to her.

So, I only got 2 contacts in yesterday, but made up for it with the 4th contact from tonight. Hopefully tomorrow's calls will lead to a booking!

I miss this thread too much to stay away.........

Today, I did as much host coaching as I could (3), 2 CCC's, and picked up an online/catalog show for Jan. I've had one reschedule for Jan, so I'm hoping to pump up the end of my month and into Feb to take advantage of double points month.

He then goes on to tell me that his wife has run off with another man, and that maybe if she ever comes home to their family she may be interested:eek:  Talk about stumbling for words:yuck:

Well, I rescheduled a January show for March....so not a total loss....and I left about a million phone messages (okay, maybe not quite that many!). I have several people who wanted to wait until after the new year to book - now to get a hold of them!

Oh - and I spent some time talking with my new recruit! :D She is so cute - she has the catalog memorized by page #....I didn't have the heart to tell her it would all be changing in 2 months!

Yes, I'm ready to kick it into HIGH gear!! I really want TPC, and I think recruiting is the only way to get it this year as my sales aren't that great. BUT I did get the cruise!!!:D :D :D :D

Congrats on your cruise Amy...

Sorry had to pop in...my 3-2-1 isn't daily, more weekly for my level but I'm trying to tell everyone I see stoneware is 20% off in January and I'm doing a catalog show! :D

  • #1,388
BTW, I'd call during the day on that one and see if the husband still answers, if he does then pretend like you didn't realize you called yesterday in all your calls...

If she answers...hmm....

YAY! I did my 3-2-1 again....

1 February Catty show booked (she wants to collect orders this month so I can submit it early Feb.)

2 Customer Care Calls (one will check out the outlet)

1 Neighbor that will be giving me an order later this month.

1 Host Coaching call to my January Catty host that was not sure if she would do it or not....she now seems motivated.

But to put a damper on my night, one of my only two January Cooking shows cancelled on me....sigh....

  • #1,391
Hey everyone! It sounds like we are all getting off to a great start this month! I'm so glad you are back Amy! I would hate to lose you wonderful contribution! I want to learn all I can from you about recruiting!!:D

I was only able to get three calls in tonight, and one I had to leave a voicemail. I was able to schedule a February show though! The other one was to someone new to PC, so I am going to send a catalog to her and follow up next week.

YIPPEEEE!!! 3-2-1 rocks!!!

  • #1,392
well I have spent my afternoon waiting in line to get my passport and come home to a host wanting to cancel/reschedule her show "for a later time, too much going on right now". UGHHHH!!! I'm going to be on the phone like crazy tonight. That's the second reschedule/cancel in as many days!!  I'm also going to be calling the latest back to see if we can atleast do a catalog/online show. I WANT DOUBLE POINTS!!!:grumpy:

  • #1,393
   I've attempted host coaching calls, CCC's, and even team calls and was only able to get ONE live person on the phone!! It drives me crazy when you really TRY to get the 3 part in and yet can't get anyone on the phone.:yuck: I mean, do people really have a life without Pampered Chef?
Oh well, I have my first show of the year tomorrow. Not expecting a big crowd, but the group is known to be big spenders:love: , so keep your fingers crossed for me. I am soooo nervous, seems like forever since I've done a cooking show.

My first show is the 14th - and I am already getting nervous! It's been a month since I've done a live show!

I've been able to talk to 2 January Hosts tonight - one was a narrowly missed cancellation! A Lia Sophia Rep who found out she had a meeting that night! Her DH encouraged her to still have the show, so she finally decided to keep the date (plus the other date she wanted was booked!)

Other than that, I haven't talked to a live person either - and I consider it mostly futile to leave messages for potential bookings...

  • #1,395
I did not do a very good job last night. I got so off guard when someone called out of the blue to order that I forget to offer a show to her. That was last night or the night before. Don't remember. I've talked to my hosts or e-mailed them because the invites have been going out what seems like every day because I have four shows the week of the 14th. My first January show is next Tuesday, and today I was talking to my January 24th host and printing out the postcards for my show on the 26th. Planning to catch up on the 3 part of 3-2-1 at my shows.

  • #1,396
I spent part of the afternoon setting up my own mystery host show for late January - sent my evites out and already have 6 people coming! Talked to 3 friends on the phone to personally invite and they all said yes. I ended up sending out 38 evites and will mail an additional 8 more tomorrow - this is the 3rd year I've done this and it just keeps getting bigger and better!

  • #1,397
Bad day for contacts today on my end. Hopefully I can do 6 tomorrow to make up for todays lack of calls. My first show isn't untill the 27th!!!! That will be 1 1/2 months between my show last month and this month! That makes me so nervous.

  • #1,398
I know what you mean Ellen - its been since November 30th that I've done a cooking show and I don't have one until January 18th - can't wait to get back in the swing again! Good luck with your calls!

  • #1,399
I'm having a hard time getting upstairs to make calls too. DH had to work late unexpectedly, so everything is getting pushed back. We just talked though and he is cool with me taking an hour tomorrow afternoon to make calls to make up for it. So it's 6 for me tomorrow too Ellen! Oh, and my first show isn't until the 30th!!

  • #1,400
What is it with today?! I made about 5-6 calls this afternoon, and got nothing but machines. And then, after dinner, I layed on the couch for about 30 minutes, until 7pm when I planned on making calls, BUT I was too tired and had no ambition by then. 7:30, I left for BUNCO at my neighbors. I did get an order for the Apple Wedger though!. My first show is Monday. My last show was Dec 14th, so it has been about 3 weeks or so! I think we are only expecting 4-5 guests.

I will be on the phone in the morning. I need a few more bookings for January!
