Boost Your Success with 3-2-1 Accountability: A Productivity Diary

In summary, Sandy is trying to do 3-2-1 but has trouble getting to 4 contacts a week. Paulette is trying to do 3-2-1 but is not doing well with only 2 shows per month. JAE is trying to do 3-2-1 7 days a week.
  • #1,301
Friday night I had a show with 5 in attendance. One booking from that.Saturday I had a show with 3 in attendance. One booking from that. Plus, I had another contact that resulted in an order. Since things are kind of winding down for the holidays, I feel pretty good about how things are going.

  • #1,302
show last night - only 2 guests + host:grumpy: , BUT this was the MIA host, so I really didn't expect much. Did get a booking - April:yuck: But I'm really going to be working with this host alot this week, I think she could be a strong potential recruit lead! Just got the vibe that she is interested, but didn't want to appear that way, KWIM?
So, my sales this month have been totally crummy, but I'll get over it. My calendar is looking good. Guess I'll use the Christmas break preparing my biz for the new year and listening to training CDs on increasing sales!;)
I have some shows to close out but I think my calls for the rest of the month will be host coaching, recruit leads and team calls. So, please excuse my absence from the thread. I hope to come back stronger after the holidays!

  • #1,303
oh, and I hope to meet some of you in January!!

  • #1,304
Making calls today. I have 3 to invite to my cluster meeting tomorrow. I have several that need to rebook (canceled shows). I have a co-worker that tomorrow I've got to get the date final for January. My neighbor next door, I need to get the date finalized for January. I'm adding to my January calendar. This week is it. I'll have trouble finding people home next week or that want to even think about a show as we get closer to the holiday. I want a full January. I want the extra points.

  • #1,305
I made one contact today. I wore a PC t-shirt when I went to Wal-Mart, and the girl behind the counter asked if I sold PC. She wanted a catty, so I gave her a mini-holiday catty. She was interested in ordering online, but not interested in hosting. I did not get her info though.

  • #1,306
I had my final Dec. cooking show tonight. About 10 in attendence, but not everyone ordered.

Got 1 January cooking show out of it and 1 January catty show out of it.

I have some follow-up calls to make with those who didn't order that checked "maybe" on booking for the DPS. Hopefully I can get some more for January as I only have 2 cooking and 2 catty so far.....

  • #1,307
i didn't make any calls yesterday, but I did meet up with my new recruit who has 3!!!! catalog shows to submit - she only signed her agreement last week!!

  • #1,308
Collected a $105 order.

Spoke with a girl who (she says for sure) wants to sign up. She wants to wait till she can get to a computer to do it. We shall see.....

Not really counting it as a contact, but did get a nice order from my host from Sunday. Show should close by tomorrow hopefully.

3rd contact: I host from last month was going to give me an order this month from what she forgot to get through her show. Just talked to her today and it sounds like she has collected enough for a catty show and we should be closing it by tomorrow as well!

Now, isn't that SWEET!?!?:D :D When things like that happen I always feel like the heavens are smiling down on me!

No real contacts yesterday. Had my cluster meeting last night. Still trying to get my hosts that are still hanging on to close..........

  • #1,311
Had a cooking show last night. Seven in attendance--was supposed to be 10, but some didn't show because of the weather. I got lost on the way there (lives out in the country & it was dark & icy so I couldn't see the street signs very well)!

I got a booking for Feb. 8 (double points--yay!), one for spring/summer (I'm calling back in Feb with the specials), and one who wants to do a wedding shower & registry for an October 2008 wedding! Plus the host is interested in the biz--so she may get the last two bookings, but that's ok! She's on vacation in January & wants to meet in February to chat. She was $15 away from the next level, so we're closing it tonight.

I plan on calling my January shows tonight to get host packets out to them. I have my last show for the month on Friday. That show will put me over for level 1 incentive!!!! My first time reaching any incentive level. Next year is a trip--using 3-2-1!

  • #1,312
Don't want to jinx myself(seems like when I talk about a "sure thing" it always falls through)
.....but I was just talking with one of my recruit leads....she is trying to decide if she wants to sign in December or wait until January. It's an issue of having the $$ right at Christmas time - but I already have 2 bookings for her for January (Friends of hers who had booked with me, but I told her she could have their shows.) She asked me all kinds of good questions today.

And my host from Friday really wants to sign - just has to convince her SO that it is a good idea. She had 3 people at her show say that they would host if she became a consultant. She wants to sign by the end of the year!

AND! I have another recruit lead that wants to sign in January.

I'm hoping that I can get them to sign and qualify in Jan & Feb, and then that, along with double points, will put me at level one by the end of Feb!:D

  • #1,313
great job Becky!

  • #1,314
was able to close one show so far today. That's about it, alot of messages........

  • #1,315
Talked to my host for this Friday's show about the recipe, etc. She is expecting 8-10 guests.

Spoke to Saturday's host, well it was supposed to be Saturday, but she has not postponed it until February!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (so she can have time to get the invites out, although I have coached her a few times already!!!!!!) She already postponed once on me. UGH!!!!! This is my third cancellation for December!! (out of 7-8 shows).

Spoke to another host about closing her show. I am waiting for her to call me back with her personal order.

And also talked to a past host that attended my 11/30 show (for her cousin). The 11/30 host has no phone right now, and no e-mail, so I have no way of contacting her to close her show out. I asked her cousin to have her contact me. (I also sent her a letter over the weekend to contact me.)

I called a lead that I met in August that asked me to call her in December when she got her own apartment. Now she is not interested!! UGH!

Other than that, left 2-3 messages on answering machines.

  • #1,316
I collected an order for a $50 gift certificate yesterday and then had a $105 order cancel b/c her niece was having a pc party.

Other than that, just closed shows.

Oh ya, I did a customer care call and got an ear full from a customer about how lame it was that the 3-tierd stand didn't come with any plates and how she wants a refund. (I did inform her at the time of purchase that the price included the stand only. guess she wasn't listening. Also the 30 days from the time party shipped ended 5 days ago so it looks like she's out the shipping too!)

Still have to do my 3-2-1 today.

  • #1,317
Tuesday night I had my Grinch Party, so I didn't do any CCCs. This evening I have a party to close and a church service to attend. I don't anticipate being able to make many contacts, but I may get one or two in.

  • #1,318
Rae, did you explain your Grinch party? I must have missed it, but I'm curious! What was it all about??

  • #1,319
It's really just a good excuse for women to get together to talk, laugh, and eat.

The idea is that about this time of year, with all the hustle, bustle, and obligations, you're in real danger of becoming a Grinch. To avoid that, I invite friends (a mixture of old friends and new ones) over for a girls-only party. They are instructed to come comfy. Many come in their jammies. I'm in my jammies when they arrive. They are not to bring anything. It's a no-obligation evening. They're invited for an hour, because, no matter how busy you are, you should be able to get away for an hour. (Many stay muuuuch later. :)) I serve simple, sleep-over foods (chips, popcorn, cookies, fudge, sodas).

The first 15 minutes or so, we fill our plates and catch up. We then watch the original, animated version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. After that, we just sit and talk.

This is the 7th year I've done it. It's become a tradition that my friends really anticipate. They start asking me the date in October, so they can reserve it on their calendars.

The fun thing is that the first year one of my friends had never seen the show. Last night, one of my new friends saw it for the first time.

  • #1,320
What a great idea Rae! Sounds fun and I can't believe that anyone hasn't seen the Grinch at least once in their life!

  • #1,321
This friend is a bit, um, buttoned-up. She isn't particularly whimsical. I believe that's part of why God brought me into her life--to add some whimsy.

  • #1,322
I haven't really been doing the 3-2-1 thing.....my bad. But, today I went for a walk and out to breakfast with a friend. She told me she wanted a couple of stones, but she didn't think she should buy them until after Christmas, maybe February. So, of course, I told her she'll want to buy them at 20% off in January. I told her I'd add them to a show. Then I told her about the great January host special, this was after I told her about some of my most recent $800 and two $900 shows. She wants to have a $1000 show in January, so she can beat out the ladies who had the big shows. Hopefully, she will do a show. I've been wanting to ask her to do one, and I finally had the chance. I have 7 shows scheduled for January, so far. I'm really hoping to add this one and one more from a host I am having trouble getting catching on the phone.

  • #1,323
I made only 1 contact today. It was a customer care call, with no real outcome.

I also made a 30 minute trip to pick up an order from a hosts house, as well as pick up money to close out another show.

My DD didn't feel well today, so it made it hard to get to the phone. I have 9kitchen shows and 1 catty show on the books for January (and 3-4 for Feb.). My goal is to get at least 3 more shows on my calendar for February, so I need to get on that phone!!!!!

  • #1,324
Rae, I would LOVE to meet you. You have got to be one of the coolest ladies I have ever "met". I LOVE your pj party idea and I may just steal it!!

  • #1,325
ok, so today I was really bad. I had some messages from hosts that i was never able to return - got home too late! UGHHH! Hate it when that happens, I always get scared that they are going to think that I don't value them! BUT I was out helping my newest recruit submit her 4!! shows from last week!! Can you say QUALIFIED!!!:D :D

I got a random order today from my email sale. And a catalog host that told me that she was just too busy and would try again after the first of the year called me to give me her order. I was expecting the DCB............$300+ later she has indeed a catalog show!!!  Seems she was with some friends over the weekend baking cookies, and the ladies were VERY interested in the catalog. Me thinks I may have found some good leads!!:p

  • #1,326
Amy, that's awesome! I love surprise catalog shows!

Well, my new year is completely empty. Well, I have one bridal show that I paid for a booth for, so I'm not really counting that as a "show". So it's time to recommit. I talked to my director tonight and made a commitment to get 4 shows on January's schedule by next Wednesday. She wrote it down and will be checking up on me. I don't want to disappoint (especially myself) so I am going to do it! Tomorrow and Friday I will be able to make random phone calls during the day. Then on Saturday my Mom is taking my two little guys for the morning/day (what ever I can talk her into :D ) so I will hit the phone hard then!

I will be sure to post my results her so that I am holding myself accountable to you cheffers also. I really want this so I AM going to make it happen! Wish me luck!

  • #1,327
Too busy today. I am totally flopping out here. I only have 2 shows for Janurary. That is unacceptable. I have to get on the phone! I will have to make at leat 9 contacts to make up for the last couple of days.

Yea Amy!!! So with that recruit qualifying - and your surprise catalog show - how close does that put you to your Cruise? You must be getting very close!

Aww, you're too kind.

Borrow away. When I get home this evening I'll send you the wording for my invitation. You can change it up to fit what you do, but it will give you someplace to start from.

So far 1 contact today: $25 gift certificate sold.

Stay tuned.....

well, IF I can get another consultant qualified (1 show) I only need about $350 more, and i think that may be coming from a co-worker of DH;) I "think" the consultant has a catalog show in the works, but she recently had a death in the family so I really don't want to call her and pester her about that now. I have been in touch with her, but only to offer my sympathy, no mention of PC. Another consultant needs 2 shows I think, so she is possible too.

got a $45 order tonight on the phone. closed a show - FINALLY! Also had a guest add to their order.
This weekend, Saturday, looks to be very busy closing shows as everyone is waiting until the last minute!

<<<<BIG SIGH>>>> Same here Amy! I keep trying - I've been on the phone off and on all day - just got off again - trying to close shows, and cannot get them closed. Just now got a catalog show host to say that she will drop by tomorrow with her final payment so I can close her show... I was really hoping to be done by today so that I had the weekend free and clear - but nope! Not happening!

  • #1,334
What is it with these hosts waiting so long to close their shows??? I just closed a show from 11/30 yesterday. Closed the show from 12/7 tonight, and I am still waiting to close out a show from 12/2!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides talking to a couple hosts tonight, I left messages on a few machines following up on some leads, as well as ccc calls.

  • #1,335
Try not to get too down about the hosts waiting a bit to close shows. At least you have shows to close!:D My December petered out, but it was my own fault for not doing my 3-2-1.

So today I made some calls. I left three messages and talked to one person who said she was fine with what she has right now. So I marked one no on my calendar. I did have someone contact me through my website for a show though, and I talked to her tonight and we got her scheduled for January. Only 3 more shows to book for January by next Wednesday and I will meet my goal!

Oh, I also got $124.20 in outlet orders from the email I sent out last night. Not bad!!

  • #1,336
Other than the order collected earlier, the other contacts I had were two friends of mine that said they'd order but didn't.

Then I closed a show. My last of the month actually. I left several messages again! I am having a hard time getting ahold of people this time of year. Better luck tomorrow I guess!

Don't you just LOVE the random orders like that!!  Well, I guess it's not random when we send out the emails, but i mean these people probably had NO intentions of ordering anything, but then we send them these little emails, and BANG!!! they gotta have it!!:D :D

  • #1,338
Yesterday I had three contacts because I was carrying my Ribbon Tote. Two are interested in ordering after the holidays. One just wanted to know what we have now.My show for tonight just got switched to a catalog show, so I'll be on the phone tonight.

  • #1,339
Wouldn't you know that after putting $20 of my own money into making my show last night qualify, I would get an order for a RUFTH trivet and then another order for a flour/sugar shaker? 2 contacts down, a few more to go....

  • #1,340
Whoo Hooo!!!My last show of the season just closed!!!It closed at $540, and the host is signing....she wanted to just have me sign her
up with her show - but I explained to her about signing up at my website - so she is going to do that!:D I also told her to wait until the week after Christmas to do it - to maximize her extra 30 days - do you think that was the right thing to tell her? Now I'm second guessing myself - what if she talks herself out of it between now and then?Hmmm, what to do?? :confused:ETA: I ended up with $2500 in December sales for the month ($3500 counting November holdovers) so I will also get $125 in PC $$ this month! Yahoo!

Rae, Ellen Amy (and others), you're so faithful to report and to get your contacts.
Becky, I agree with telling your host to wait until after Christmas to sign. I wasn't able to utilize my entire 30 days because I didn't understand that it started as soon as I signed. She probably won't be able to get any shows before January. You were looking out for her best interests.
Congrats on the great December, Becky.
I asked a school mom if she wanted to have a January show, and she said she does! Doesn't want to give me a date until after the holidays. We'll see. I already have a great January, so I am sort of hoping she isn't free on any of my open January dates. I need to get some shows in February.

Wow Jae, I wish I had your "problem" LOL! I still only have 2 shows booked for January! I've been semi-faithful posting here but not as faithful with my contacts. I've been calling but can't seem to get anything more than an answering machine, a "no" or possibly an order. No new bookings to report unfortuately. I just gotta keep on calling I guess!

I really don't know what I did to get so many bookings other than talk about the special for January during my November shows. I am so hoping that somebody will want to book for February. I did finally bring it up to two people/friends. It was so easy to get them to agree to have a show. I don't have dates from either of them.
I am done calling until January. I sent out personal letters with the January and February specials to a couple people who I've been wanting to have a show with. I feel that people are too busy this close to Christmas to think about hosting a party in the new year. I have a couple more people to send the '08 specials to, and I will call them when the kids go back to school.
I'm going to send out Christmas cards to all of my hosts as a reminder that I have not forgotten them (and so they don't forget about me).

I wouldn't worry about February with all the dates you have for January. The bookings will come. At least you have a full show scedule to work with. I gotta get back to that darn phone with some cold calls again. I might have a friend or two to host for me.

I agree with Ellen - you have a great January Schedule, so the February bookings will be there - I think if you tell your January hosts how they can benefit from Feb bookings, they will be helping you get those bookings!

And I KNOW how you got those January bookings! You have been working hard, being consistent, and doing a great job with shows - THAT is how you got those bookings. You are reaping the fruits of your labor JAE - I'm so proud of you! You keep me on my toes!:D

Becky - woo hoo on a new recruit!! And I think you did the right thing by telling her to wait, because I just did the same thing:eek:  Yes, there is a chance they could talk themselves out of it, but I'm leaning towards them respecting us for respecting them and helping them to maximize their benefits. Atleast that's what I hope & pray:angel:

I honestly did not make any contacts yesterday other than trying to get these slow moving hosts to close.  My other attempts just resulted in machines. Not complaining, I just want to be DONE for the month. As of right now, I am $171 from the cruise (as soon as 1 recruit submits her last show and qualifies!) But you know what? I think that is why I absolutely LOVE this business.........it's exciting and there is always some new & fresh. Suits my short attention span!;) ;)

I'm thinking you must be a squiggle!:D

And I seriously think if I were $171 away from a cruise, I would be buying PC for everyone I know for Christmas! OR getting my family to do it.

You are SOOOOO close Amy! You can do it!

  • #1,348
Way to go AMY!! You can do it!!!

Another big WAHOO to you Becky on your new recruit.

You girls are my inspiration!!!!!

I had a show last night with about 5-6 guests in attendance. With 4 guest orders and 1 outside order, the show is at $200.00. The host was expecting 8-10 guests, including one person that she thought would be ordering ALOT of PC. She is going to see what outside orders she can collect today, and then she may do a catty show to collect more, as she wants a lot of free stuff!!!

I did get one January Catalog show and a possible February show.

And yes, if all else fails Amy will be getting the 12" family skillet! I'm just holding out to see what this MIA hosts have rounded up.
Thinking DH will be getting some sunscreen and dramamine in his stocking!!;)

:sing: Ladies, Ladies, Ladies...............where has everyone been?!?! Surely you haven't been busy doing shopping, wrapping, & baking?;) ;)

Still trying to close some shows, and I do have a recruiting interview set for this afternoon, so keep your fingers crossed and send some prayers my way please!!! I'm hoping that if I can't do shows in the next few weeks, maybe I can sign people like crazy to help 2008 get off to a great start!!!

Oh, and I calculated my points wrong. I was adding a show to my total that was already included in my numbers. So, I'm back to needing $346 for the cruise:cry:   And now DH is being a jerk, and doesn't want to go:cry: Not a good time in our house right now!:grumpy:
