In summary, the conversation discusses the thread killers and how they often act. One person talks about how they are a thread killer on another forum and another person talks about how they are a thread killer on a Mac forum. Finally, someone talks about being a thread killer again.

Thought you did it didn't you gourmet girl?? I don't think so!

  • #1,202
She couldn't kill the thread, but I liked her noun choice.

Physical threats have no power over this thread.

  • #1,205
I am the thread killer. I posted a reply on Stork Freezer and it died.

  • #1,206
Congratulations!

However, it will take great skill and timing to kill this thread, Grasshopper.

  • #1,207
What grasshopper? I don't like bugs.

  • #1,208
Or are you referring to the Grasshopper mixed drink?

  • #1,209
Not a Kung Fu fan?

Snatch the pebble from my hand.

  • #1,210
I don't want a pebble.

So there.

Not much experience on this end with Kung Fu movies. Not enough space ships in them. :)

  • #1,211
Watch out I am quick. I might get the pebble.

  • #1,212
I was actually referring to an old tv show, Ann. David Caradine played a traveling Shaolin monk. He was all about non-violence until he was pushed too far (usually by virtue of an innocent person being placed in harm's way), then he kicked butt!

There were usually flashbacks to his days as a young student, that's where the whole "Grasshopper" and pebble thing comes in.

Yeah- it's all about me, isn't it?

I'm just happy the weekend is here!!!

  • #1,215
I say we submit this to the Guiness Book of World Records to see if we have the longest thread. We could all be famous!

  • #1,216
Oh, no... there have been threads on other forums that have been FAAAAR longer than this one.

  • #1,217
Sure, but I'm sure they aren't nearly as fun or funny.

  • #1,218
Teacher you will not have the last word today! HEHEHE

  • #1,219
Sigh.

I won't be on here as much after this weekend. I'm starting at a new client site Monday. No time during the workday to surf and post.

Darn

Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But, soon, and for the rest of your life.

  • #1,221
We'll miss your frequent posts, Ann. Don't worry, though. I'll make sure no one else gets to kill this thread.

  • #1,222
I was hoping to get the sympathy kill on this one.

  • #1,223
Hope springs eternal--kind of like this thread.

  • #1,224
What type of client site?

  • #1,225
I'm a computer programmer who works through a contracting house. I've been between clients ("on the bench") for 7 months. I start Monday at a health insurer. It's a short term contract (2 months), but at least it gets me placed.

  • #1,226
Musn't.....let....it.....die

  • #1,227
Not you, honey!

  • #1,228
Me! Me! I want to do it!

  • #1,229
Nuh-uh! It's my turn!

  • #1,230
Nuh-uh. Mine!

  • #1,231
She was just here too!

  • #1,232
She's everywhere!

  • #1,233
I KNOW! And she gets paid for this! What a life!

  • #1,234
Yeah, but she's still not gonna take the kill on this one.

  • #1,235
Of course not! We all know who is going to do that!

They all think THEY will but we all know it will eventually be me! he he he he he

  • #1,236

But I hate my job, so it evens out that I get paid.

  • #1,237
Uh, I don't think so, Beth.

  • #1,238
I think I killed a couple threads over the past week, so I'm gonna see if I can kill this one, too.............................

  • #1,239

  • #1,242
Well I hadn't posted here in awhile, so can I please be the one?

Seems I'm killing all the others I post on!

  • #1,243
I wonder who holds the record for the most threads killed in one day? I think I'm at about 5 today! Can anybody beat that? I was goin' for 6, but pchefkristin RUINED my plan!

  • #1,244
I think as I killed about 20 tree branches today and killed an entire bathroom of tile and wallpaper 30+ years old that I should be allowed to kill this thread tonight!

please... pretty please...

  • #1,245
Well, since you posted at 12:10a, you'll have to wait another 23 hours and 50 minutes for "tonight" to be over...
Good luck getting no one else to post!
Why were you killing tree branches? I was out killing dirt mounds left from the 150 ft french drain we installed LAST SEPTEMBER... (the project that was only supposed to take 2 weekends... my hubby has really estimation issues!!)

  • #1,246
Actually it was 11:10pm my time (central) :)

My dad is getting ready to sell his house and some of the trees had some dead brances, so I snipped them off (well I snipped off anything that looked dead and I could reach... I got a little snip happy :) )

  • #1,247
I did that after we moved into our house... I was supposed to "trim" the bush, instead we had firewood for the winter!

  • #1,248
It's quite a satisfying feeling to use your muscles and watch those little suckers fall down isn't it ;)

  • #1,249
instant gratification... that's what i'm all about!!!

  • #1,250
lol... it must be a girl thing... no guys ever get it!
