In summary, Sandy is trying to do 3-2-1 but has trouble getting to 4 contacts a week. Paulette is trying to do 3-2-1 but is not doing well with only 2 shows per month. JAE is trying to do 3-2-1 7 days a week.

Did lots today!

Closed a $527 CATALOG show!

Closed a $364 CATALOG show!

Closed a $420 cooking show.

Booked an "out of the blue" cooking show for - get this! October 7th! That's one week away!!!!

Helped my only recruit submit her show that not only was her last chance to stay active, but her qualifying show! It only took her a year but she did it!

I still have my open house to close, but I may wait till tomorrow b/c there might be some more orders coming in and I'm $70 away from $500. I really want that extra credit.

You rock Ellen, I am starting to work it again. I didn't get in here yesterday so I just got see your run down of shows. GREAT JOB!!

Yay, Kim's back! Did you do your 3-2-1 today? If not, tomorrow's another day.....

  • #903
Ok, just finished reading so here is my results (I didn't get on here at all yesterday)

I did speak to someone who had said she would do a cooking show that changed to a catalog show that to be honest I had given up on (I know I shouldn't have but that is another story). She basically was apologizing for no order but has one that she knows the person wants to get (a $10 order).

Yesterday, I spoke to a person working on a catalog show in Arizona and she said she will fax me the 3 orders she had been able to get. She sounded pretty down as she said she was trying for a $1,000 show. I told her to keep the catalogs out and we can do another show as she gets orders.

I didn't get any calls done today but while I was working the sign in table for a multi cluster meeting. I have a prepared list of people that I will be calling, mailing catalogs, and sending recruiting flyers. I have am very prepared to make my calls and contacts tomorrow.

Looking forward to a great report tomorrow.

Man!! You guys are rockin'!! My calls have not been that productive, and I'm getting scared! I made my contacts yesterday, one possible interest in Nov/Dec show, so I'll have to keep following up. Spoke with another potential catty for Nov. A host that is set to close this weeks is trying to get some bookings as she wants the baker too!

I so want to add 2 more shows to October and finish filling out November. You guys are in inspiration. I'm going to be majorly working the phone today. Hopefully I'll have something good to report!

  • #905
I made my calls Tuesday night. I got two probable shows for November/December.

HELP ME! I've been making my CCC's and I feel like such a moron whenever I try to turn the conversation to bookings! I've totally given up on it, and just don't even try anymore! I so want to book more shows, but this is a HUGE obstacle for me. Anyone have any good advice or recommendations for training cd's?

On the plus side, I touched base with 2 team members today, and both have shows coming up soon. Spoke with a host who is still wanting to wait on closing out her show. AND I did make those dreaded CCC's to 8 guests tonight.

Hope you guys had a better night!

  • #907
Honestly, I don't mention bookings during my CCC's unless the upcoming special is something the person wanted to be alerted about.I chose to spend the evening catching up on work that I haven't been able to get done because the The Furry Guy's issues. I was on here earlier as I waited for information to load on my veeeerrrrrrrry slow dial-up. It's too late to call now. I'm just waiting. I have another 30 minutes or so before I need to pick The Furry Guy up.I plan to make oodles of contacts tomorrow to make up for tonight. On the up-side, I have been leaving catalogs in waiting rooms all over town this week. The Furry Guy finally noticed one today. He said, "Hey, look at this. Wait, did you put this here?"I said, "I sure did. I've been doing that all week."He grinned and said, "Good idea."I reminded him that I'm no dummy. I had to make use of my time somehow. Why not use it to drum up more business?

Sorry Amy, I wish I could help, but I have the same problem! I am going to start listening to my training CD's in the car again, so if I come across a good one, I'll let you know. Is there a tele-class on CCC's? Or online training? I think I need to go over those again too.

Well, I made one call today and sent one email. Both were to potential hosts. Still not what I wanted to do, but DH had to work late tonight (I know, just an excuse) and I was on 100% kid duty. I did finally get my newsletter out though.

  • #910
I got home late from leaving work after 7:00. I was able to get on the phone after 8:30 so I was only able to make a few calls.

I did talk to a past host and after discussing a broken stone she had a small order for me.
I made an appointment to get my hair cut tomorrow and one of the other stylists was very interested in the business earlier this year. I have a packet ready to give to her (of course it will have the recruiting flyer in it).
I also had lunch with a friend through work who has hosted a show. Her brother was interested in the business so we talked about what was going on in his life and how to contact him for a show (haven't been able to reach them by phone yet)

Ok, that is about it for now.

Yesterday, I made two more contacts to leads from the street festival, and added two more shows to my Oct/Nov calendar. (That makes 7 out of 16 leads booked so far) Left messages for 2-3 more. Made a ccc call, but no booking.

Talked to a couple hosts, one will be postponing next week's show AGAIN. For some reason, she just can't get any people interested in coming. We talked about bringing a recipe into work, and leaving some catalogs. I also talked about Homemade for the Holidays in November.

I also left a message for a potential recruit. She is my neighbor, who I interviewed 3 weeks ago. I had mentioned that another neighbor/friend of ours was interested in a catty show for October, and if she joined, I would give it to her to help her start. (one of her concerns was not knowing enough people). I have told her about the current promo, so I left her a message telling her about the catty show etc.

I plan on making at least one call to another street festival lead today.

guess what?!?!? After I posted last night, I actually got a call back and BOOKED a November show!!!! The best part is that it is the first Saturday of the month, and for some reason I always have a hard time with the first of the month with bookings. So maybe something is turning around!! YAYYYY!

I, too, got an email from a host booking November 4th - it is great to get those early in the month dates especially with Thanksgiving thrown in there! Now if I can get my host from 9/21 to call me back and close out her show already! (she was on vacation 9/27 - til yesterday) - I've left 3 messages - now she needs to call!

  • #915
I made a customer care call - I couldn't get the person's machine to let me leave a message however I got a call back from the past guest who wondered who called. I talked with her and she's booking a show for February. She loves her products she bought about a month ago and wants to keep adding to her collection. Then I sent out 2 emails to potential hosts - one emailed me back and said she would love to do a show - we are choosing a date after a big fundraiser is done at our elementary school. Not bad for not much work!

Let's see, I made a few calls today, and received a few calls.

One catty hostess (out of state) called to let me know she is not sure if she'll be able to do the catty show as she has some family issues to take care of and has been doing a lot of traveling from MA to NJ. After talking to her, I told her we had until end of Nov to turn in an Oct show, which made her day, as she really wanted the DCB. Another lead from the festival that booked Oct. 10, called to tell me she wants to reschedule, because she won't be able to have it at her house due to size, she wants to see about having it at her mom's house. And another catty host called to tell me she has collected a few orders, etc. And another lead from the festival returned my call from yesterday, and has booked a show for 10/25. It is so nice when folks actually return your calls. (or call you before you call them)

I called another lead from the festival, and after talking with him, I need to e-mail a few of my available dates, and some theme show info. I put in a quick call to my new recruit to touch base with her.

I also sent out a couple of e-mails about booking a show, one to a women that headed an Elk's Lodge open house that I did in August, and another was the daughter in law of my neighbor, who lives in FLA.

How about everyone else? Ellen? Leah? Sarah? Rae? Are you making those contacts?

YAY - Good for you!!

I went to get my hair cut today and brought along a packet of info for another hair dresser who had expressed an interest in the business previously. We talked and I said if anything you may want to just start with a show. We are discussing a cooking show vs catalog show.

I left several mini catalogs with my hairdresser and we will see where that goes too. She gave me a catalog show earlier this year.

The YMCA is having a customer appreciation day next Friday. I am going to make flyers and see if I can leave them out to be taken. I am going to see if they would let me set up a table and if anything I will put flyers under windshield wipers.

Bagged a $600 show for a host as an appreciation. Will deliver tomorrow. Called to have another consultant do my show tonight, because I was feeling ill, but she couldn't. I went, did a quick demo and booked 4 shows!! We're at $400 with many outside orders before closing Wed. Yeah!!I have a show Saturday. I haven't felt well, a stomach bug that just keeps an ache in your upper chest. We've all had this off and on. One day you will feel fine then the ache comes on. Haven't done a lot with calls because of it.Mailed out receipts and invites for clients today. That was my extent with PC after teaching all day.

  • #920
Hey everyone! It sounds like you all are doing great!

I didn't make any calls today.:( I did talk to my aunt who is interested in the biz. She is going to wait a bit, but sounds like she does want to do it. (She sells Partylite and wants to get that going before starting something else too. Her plan is to do both.)

This weekend is going to be busy. We have a wedding that Ian (my 3yo) is in, so it's rehearsal tomorrow and wedding on Saturday. So I will hopefully get some calls in during the day tomorrow and then more on Sunday. My sister in law (mother of the bride) called to give us the heads up on where we will be sitting for dinner. I told her I would rather sit with strangers so I can talk about PC!!:D

my contacts yesteday were in person, as my DH was monopolizing the phone! I made 2 at my son's dentist office (patient & hygenist), and another at Kohl's. I ran into a family friend who mentioned she may like to do a catalog show (keeping fingers crossed).
I attempted to do some host coaching last night, and ended up with 1 October show cancelling. I was really expecting this show to cancel as she has done that 3 other times. This will be the last. I told her to call me when she was ready. I did offer for her to turn it into a catalog show, but I honestly don't think she'll do that, collect orders I mean.

And as a hijack, yesterday when I was at Kohl's I was able to get my daughter some jeans (4 slim) for 11.99, DH (33*32) were 12.99. Go figure! And no, her's where not Levi's or any other brand name. Guess the higher pricing for womem even starts at preschool age!

  • #922
I spent yesterday sitting in the waiting room at my local garage. I did have a wonderful conversation about PC with the young woman working in the attached convenience store. She's getting married next year. I'm hoping she'll do a registry.Other than that I spent my day grocery shopping and trying to catch up on my computer work, so I didn't get my calls made. Thankfully, I have a show on Saturday and The Furry Guy should be back to driving on Monday. :)

  • #923
Oh! I forgot to mention that another host called (10/20 show) to let me know that my PWS has her show time listed incorrectly, and she mentioned that there is already a guest that wants to book a show!!! Wahoo!!!!!

  • #924
Only made 1 new contact today. After pumping gas at the pump, there was a young girl on the other side, so I asked her if she was familiar with PC. Turns out her mother is a consultant!

I sent out 3 host kits to shows I had booked the last couple of previous nights. I left a few messages with hosts that I had mailed kits to earlier in the week. I spoke live with another, who asked me about what it takes to be a consultant! Yay!!! I had included an opportunity brochure in her kit. I told her to listen to the toll free call, and I am going to send her a DVD and Empowering Women magazine. Keep your fingers crossed for me. This could make me FD! (I just signed one, and my first one hasn't qualified yet, but went inactive 9/30).

  • #925
I made my contacts today. My favorite was the cashier at Staples. He said, "You come in here in your Pampered Chef shirt and carrying your Pampered Chef purse, and you don't bring me any knives, or pans, or anything?"I told him I was very sorry, but I did have a catalog for him in my van. Turns out he loves to cook, and he loves the PC products. We talked a minute. I brought his catalog in. He said he wasn't at all interested in doing a show, but he was excited about the thought of ordering from my website. Yippee!

  • #926
Today I had a show, so that was 7 contacts. I got one November booking, and the host is considering signing. I'd be excited, but my instincts tell me that she's not likely to sign. I'm willing to be wrong, though. :)As I left the show I got a call from my aunt. She scheduled a November show. It was an out-of-the-blue thing, and I'm very happy.Very good day for Rae. ;)

  • #927
I was not up to getting on the phone today, so I took it easy today, and only made two contacts in person. (well, actually 3) One was at the bank ATM machine, while I was waiting for my transaction to complete, there was a women waiting behind me, so I asked her if she was familiar with PC. She hasn't been to a show in 2 yrs. Gave her a mini-catalog, and had her fill out a DPDS. The second and third one was at Bojangles. One of them told me her family sells it, the second one, asked if I sold it, so I gave her a mini-catalog. She didn't want to fill out a DPDS, but she said there are a few managers there that are always talking about PC, and she would hang the mini up on the bulletin board. I gave her a second one as well.

My computer has been and still is crashed since Thursday morning. (I'm at my mom's)

I have (for the most part) done my 3-2-1.

I had a show tonight with almost $600 in sales (more still coming)
Spoke with a man who is a potential recruit yesterday...he's thinking about it!

Not really any new bookings but I have another show tomorrow.

If I don't post for a while, it means my computer is still down.

Hope everyone else is doing well......

  • #930
Way to go Rae and Brenda! I hope your computer gets *better* soon Ellen!

I did not do any 3-2-1 today. We had a wedding that my 3yo DS was in, so the prep for that took my day. It's amazing to me how long it takes to get two toddler boys, a husband, and myself ready for something like that. We didn't even leave for the wedding until 2pm, and we were still up to the wire! I can't imagine what it would be like if we had girls!

So tomorrow is a new day and I will start again. I have a few hosts to call, so since I will be on the phone anyway I may as well make some 3-2-1 calls.

  • #931
I had a show with 8 in attendance. We're at $400 with outside orders coming and closing Wed. 2 bookings.Shared the business opportunity and catalog, and my story, with a SIL of a friend I visited after my show today.Dropping off guests list sheet to host tomorrow.

  • #932
So, I really haven't had time this weekend to be on here, but here is a quick recap...
Friday, closed a show, and booked a party for end of Oct. Then DH comes home and hands me a name & number for a show lead he got at his office. She's booked for November!
Saturday was a total day for my family, but I did get a message for an order on my machine! Think today probably will be another family day too, as the rest of the month's weekends are filled with PC. Although I'm going to try to get in touch with a very unmotivated catty host.

  • #933
wahooo for me. My neighbor booked a show today for November. Totally out of the blue! Yeah for sell-a-thon! She's already attempted a catty show when I first signed at the beginning of the year, so I was really caught of guard today when she suggested it!

  • #934
Wow! Did I kill this one too?

host coaching today was the extent of my contacts, as well as trying to follow up some booking leads

  • #935
I'm still here Amy!

I had a surprise in my mailbox on Sunday (forgot to get the mail on Saturday!). There was an envelope in there with over $300 in orders! A catty show host sent them to me. I had sent her the stuff in June (that was what all the paperwork was for too) and kept in contact with her through July and August. She was busy, moving, and all that other life stuff. In August I got an email from her saying that she got some orders and would mail them to me. I never heard from her again and actually just wrote her off. How happy was I to get those orders!! I called her and got everything finalized and submitted it Sunday! WAHOO!!

Got an email from my sister, she has a friend who wants to have a show this weekend. Uh, no problem, I can do that!! So I called and she is going to check with her friends and see if Friday or Saturday would work better. I am so excited! My weekend was completely clear so this is good. I'm not going to expect too much in the way of sales since it is so last minute, but something is better than nothing!

Made two more host coaching calls. Thursday's host is set. That should actually be a pretty decent show even though she thought it might be kind of small. Next Friday's host is another story. She is supposed to get me addresses of those she doesn't have emails for tonight. Then she is sending her own evite. We'll see how that goes. She wants to earn some more pans though, so that is good for my POR points!

Now I must go address some postcards for invitations that need to go out tomorrow. How is everyone else? Check in!

  • #936
Okay, I had a show on Sunday (yesterday) and WOW!!!!

It is my highest show ever! So far sales are around $1171!!!! The show is still open too! Plus I got a booking for November from it!

I didn't do any contacts today (lots of stuff on my plate) but I made about 25 or more contacts at the show yesterday so I'm letting myself off the hook for today!

  • #937
I had my cluster meeting tonight. I was number 3 in sales, just $300 shy of my director! I called and booked a show for November, booked one yesterday (someone called me!). I left a message for tomorrow night's host. I left a message for Sunday's host. Tomorrow I call my Saturday host. Busy week.Closed an almost $600 show tonight.
Wednesday close a show at $400 last week.
Wednesday I'm selling $350 in spatulas. After shows I will be at almost $2000 in sales!! Yippee!!

  • #938
Way to go on your $1000+ show, Ellen.

Monday, I closed a $300 show. Got a Nov.catty show from an outside order. I spoke to an October host that was a lead from the street festival. Both her and her daughter "Won" free cooking shows, so she called last night about doing a November show as well.

One customer care call ended with the person not being interested in hosting or the opportunity (or being added to me e-mail list). Left messages with a couple of others. One was supposed to be home by 8:15, but at that time, I was at my neighbors house closing her show, etc, and by the time I got home, and then got the kids into bed, it was 9:30 and too late to call back.

It looks like a show that was scheduled for tomorrow is not going on. This was a lead I met at Office Depot. I had her fill out a DPDS and then followed up with her. She said Yes to booking a show, and set the date. I made one host coaching call, she mentioned she had been busy, and that was the last contact with her. I have left messages but with no return calls from her. I hate it when we spend the money on catalogs, fliers, and everything else that goes into the host kit, as well as the $4.60 in shipping, and then you never hear back from them. UGH!!

Brenda - I hear you!!!

One December I sent out 6 host packets... yes 6 and all 6 shows cancelled. I was so upset that I spent the $$$ on postage and all of the catalogs I lost doing it.

I've been sending the invitations for my hosts for 3 years now. My policy is, no Guest List, no host packet. I send them their host packet the day I get their guest list. Without the list, no guests are coming, so no need for the host packet! (My theory anyway!) Plus, I don't want them going through the host packet and picking recipes when they should be concentrating on who to invite. That way, that part is done and they can enjoy picking recipes and getting excited about their show.

Hope that helps! :)

Haven't been on this thread for a while. I'm not doing my 3 contacts a day. My bad, but my November is filling up. I'd better get going so it gets totally filled. I want free spring products. I have four shows scheduled and two on the way. Plus I have a show tonight. I'm really hoping for a couple of recruits and at least a November show and December show. I'm bringing two Trifle Bowls and all of my SA (which isn't much). When people see the Appetizer Plates and Caddy set they won't be able to resist. At least it worked at the last show.

  • #941
today I was cleaning my office and getting files ready for my shows this weekend and a craft fair that I'm doing. I met with a clustermate to organize our display, so I didn't make any calls today at all. I've fallen off the wagon!

  • #942
I made a bunch of customer care calls today.

Confirmed with a November catty host and December cooking show host that we are in fact still on for those shows.

Host coach calls for 4 different hosts.

Spoke with one friend who will "consider" doing a November show for me.

Spoke with another friend who was supposed to do a November show for me and is now saying not till the beginning of next year. She might do my mystery host catalog show in November though.

Collected another order for my open house that I had last month on the 30th that STILL has not been submitted yet! (computer crashing and all info is still m.i.a)

Tomorrow I hope to get at least one or two more bookings on my calendar!

  • #943
I called back the lead that I thought I got hung up on last week. She sounded happy to hear from me. She booked a November show.

I received two calls from October hosts to postpone until November (I think I am up to about 5-6 cancellations/postpones for October, UGH! Just when I thought I was going to have a good month)

One person asked me to call back in an hour. I call back, and of course get a machine. Another asked me to call back today.

After leaving a message on a machine for a catty host, I receive an e-mail, letting me she has been busy, and she will close by month end.

I will try for another 3 contacts today!

  • #944
Monday: 4 contacts with no visible results.
Tuesday: 7 contacts resulting in one customer service help.

  • #945
Okay, so I had three contacts today. Got one catalog show. She's deciding between the October and November specials. I'm rooting for November, but I'll take the commission for either. ;)

  • #946
I kinda took the day off today. I did make one contact while at the playground today. The person I spoke to was kind of familiar with Pampered Chef, but gave me a referal, her MIL, who recently had a Southern Living party. I did not call her yet. Oh, and I did call a potential host, who asked me to call her today, after calling her last night. She is very busy and asked me to call in November. I guess I did make 2 out of 3 contacts today.

I am just exhausted today, and didn't accomplish much of anything. I am hoping to get more done tomorrow, or else I will need a kick in the butt!!!!!!

  • #947
I'm still working on getting people to commit to dates - have at least 4 that should set their dates and really soon - but I'm getting tired of waiting - I want that calendar full!:)

  • #948
Got shot down again for a booking but she will consider being apart of my mystery host catalog show.

Spoke to a friend who will call her SIL to see if she wants to place an order.

I think that's it for today. Will get on the phone more tomorrow.

  • #949
I'm off the calling wagon, but fortunately I can still see it...........I did make a host coaching call last night and the host informed me to be looking for an online order for..............COOKWARE!! Now, that would get me fired up again. I also spoke to a few of my team members yesterday. They are just as anxious for me to promote as I am - they want me to start doing meeting on my own. That was a nice compliment!
I have a list of people that I intend to call today,so maybe that will get me back on track.

  • #950
ok everyone where are you?!?!?

Last night I was able to confirm a date for a November show AND I booked another show for November! I did some host coaching calls. I have a potential large show tonight and a craft fair tomorrow, so I'm hoping betweent those I can fill the rest of November and possibly start December. I am booked for the rest of the month unless I can get Tues or Thurs evenings.
Hope you guys have an awesome weekend - I probably will be MIA for the next few days......
