Boost Your Success with 3-2-1 Accountability: A Productivity Diary

In summary, Sandy is trying to do 3-2-1 but has trouble getting to 4 contacts a week. Paulette is trying to do 3-2-1 but is not doing well with only 2 shows per month. JAE is trying to do 3-2-1 7 days a week.

zilch, nada, big fat zero on calls/contacts yesterday. Although I did some host coaching.
This is my big downfall.........full calendar = getting lazy on the contacts.

Rae: Oh, how sweet!
Guest: Yeah, so let's book my show, and I really want to take the kit credit and become a consultant too!
Rae: Really?
Guest: Absolutely!! And I promise to qualify in my first 30 days too!

Oh, if only! I like the way you think, Amy!

Everybody off doing shows today?I talked with four people today. One asked for a catalog, so I'll be expecting an order from her soon.Funny thing happened as I was leaving Trader Joe's. I shared smiles and nods with a woman trying to wrangle groceries and three kids with balloons to her car. As I turned toward my van with the PC stickies on the windows, she said, "Now, how did I know you belonged with the Pampered Chef van?"Since I was not wearing PC logo-wear (I know; you're shocked), I told her I didn't know. She does DS with another company and asked if we had done a fair or expo together. I told her that I live a couple of hours north of Indy. I have some customers in the area, but I've never done a fair or expo there. We laughed and went to our separate vehicles. We waved as I drove by her and the kids putting the groceries in her car. So, since I have no PC tattoos, and I wasn't mumbling about Simple Additions or stoneware, I can only conclude that I know radiate PC vibes wherever I go. :)

I closed out 2 shows today and got a surprise booking from one of them for a guest who was an outside order - called and left her a message. I got an email from a guest from last Friday night's show and she's interested in the opportunity - I'll be dropping her off some information tomorrow. Talked to my host for tomorrow show - daytime show - looking forward to it - host reallys wants SS cookware! So I guess I've been pretty productive - and I'm racking up those panoramo points!!:)

  • #805
Rae, you're funny!
I did have a show. I have a potential booking for next summer. GRRREAT! I'm sure I'll need it. Two shows so far this week and no bookings. Sales were good tonight. The host will at least hit the $400 level. I have a show next Monday and Tuesday, and I hope I do something right when it comes to getting bookings!

  • #806
OKay here is my 3-2-1 for today... I had another show tonight....... booked one show... and sales are a little over $250.00... but she has more orders coming in.......... I have another show tomorrow night!!!

so yesterday I worked my tail off trying to connect with my team. Had a scheduled coaching call with one, she wasn't home and couldn't reach her on her cell. She never called back. Spoke to 3 others about their biz.

Had a lady approach me in Target about a show and possible fundraiser. Got HER info, and gave her a catalog and my card. That is huge for me, as I usually forget/get flustered and don't get their info!

Went to my a hosts house and helped her sort and bag her orders. She was too overwhelmed, and she has a long commute. I also had to deliver her sales receipts, as she received her order faster than I thought (yeah shipping!). She was so impressed that I would do that. BUT even more importantly, she was VERY impressed with PC. She said that this was the most fun, and profitable home show that she has ever done. AND that it was just too easy! She will be a repeat host I am sure, as she wants more cookware.

Also, talked to an outside order from a previous show who wants to do a mult-vendor show in late spring. Was hoping for October/November, even December, but hey a girl can plan ahead right?

I am so proud of you all for keeping this going! I have been sooooo busy I have been slacking! I finally had a show last night!!! WOOHOO!!! Gosh it felt good to be out there again. I think it was the motivation I needed. The show was great, about 12 in attendance.

A few did not make it because of the weather. I thought for a bit it would be my first show where we were all going to be huddled in the basement "in a center room away from windows" Yeah weather was pretty wild!Sales are right at $500 with only 1 or 2 more orders to come in. I got 3 very tenative bookings but will work on those. 1 is a possible bridal shower in the spring.

I did something new to help keep me on task with asking everyone at checkout. I told them at the end if I did not ask them about booking or learning more about PC they would get a free Seasons best. It made it easier for me to ask because I had told them I would be asking and it was on my mind to do so. I am going to stick with it!

Thanks all you Rock!

back from my show, 3 bookings with 2 more possible. One recruit lead, unfortunately I didn't get a chance to talk with her before she left, so hopefully I'll be able to connect with her later. I know that she has to work in the morning (hence why she left early), so keep your fingers crossed that I'll even get to talk with her! Sales were low, as was my last show too. It seems that my host/guests lately are more interested in having the fun, than the rewards.......oh, well, guess it keeps the bookings coming!
But I do hope that tomorrow's show is higher!
Hope everyone had a good night, and is out doing big shows!

My Wednesday showed turned into a catalog show, but $400+ today! Show last night $400I contacted a client I got by email that wants to book an Oct. show. Random call. Show tomorrow.

  • #813
I jsut got back from a show...... its still open lots of outside orders coming in though.... I booked one show it's in NOV............

  • #814
Not a lot happened here today and I'll be gone most of tomorrow. Glad to see everyone else is doing so well. I did make some calls, but got all answering machines. I did make several contacts at my show last night so I'm counting those as overflow for today.......:0)

show today, with 2 bookings. One of the bookings the host does not even know, its a friend of a friend of a friend kind of thing. She just wants a catty show, which is fine with me as my dates are filling up and I don't want to turn anyone away! Sales were ok, and she is working to get more outside orders. The majority of her sales were outside orders, so she has really worked this good. I wish all my hosts were this motivated!

My neighbors are having a social gathering tonight, so I may have to change into a PC T-shirt before heading over. Of course my dish will be PC!

Hope you all are out working shows, and getting your calendars filled!

What a bummer when people say "no"! I happened to walk by a beauty salon and asked one of the ladies if I could leave some catalogs there. She flat out said "NO!" Why do people have to be so rude, it would have even been okay if she said "no, thank you." I must admit I was startled by it and felt bad about it, so much so that I didn't pull out another catalog to offer it to anyone else! Then I was mad at myself for feeling that way, I should have just shrugged it off and thought "their loss." Oh well.... No shows this weekend so I thought I would still go out and hand out a few catalogs.

It wasn't all bad though before that happened I asked a lady if she already had a PC consultant and she said "I don't know what that is..." I explained a little then I told her that if she hosted a show I would be comitted to getting her lots of free stuff. She smiled and took the catalog.

  • #817
Just discovered I felt better after writing about the beauty salon incident here. DH asked me what happened and I just told him they said no... I didn't say anything more.... This board is therapy!! :)

Now I'm quoting myself. I just collected another $43 order for my Open house! So that makes $287 so far and 2 contacts for the day! Too bad I didn't get that 3rd contact but I'll try to do at least 4 next time.

I was just hoping for a qualified show for my Open House and it's almost to $300! GOD IS GOOD!!!:D

  • #820
Had a show of only $300 today, but booked a November show, rebooked the host for March, and a possible recruit. I also closed a catalog show today of $420. That's the most I've ever had on a caddy. Monday will be very busy. I'm closing 2 catalog shows and today's cooking show. I have two shows next week, that I have to make call #3 to the hosts on Sunday.

Wow! Every time you come to this thread you have something great to report! Way to work that 3-2-1! Good luck on your shows next week! I also have 2 if you count my open house.

spoke with a host today, and a past host to do a return. That's it. I took the day off!

  • #823
Took Friday night off, but spoke with two people on Saturday, resulting in 1 possible order and two people today resulting in 1 order.I had a show scheduled for today, but she's going to change hers to a catalog party.

  • #824
Had a show today - left with one booking for November and 2 maybes - I will follow up with them before I close out her show. Sales aren't super high but I'm glad it actually happened because the host only started inviting people less than a week ago (even though she did have about 3 weeks to do it) - it was a fun show and close to home as well. Still have to close out my show from Friday and a catalog show to finish up the month - my sales are over $3000 for the month - hello commission!!

I don't get a lot done on Sundays but I managed to connect with some people today.

Confirmed with an up-coming host that we ARE going to do her show on the 6th.

Invited two more peeps to my Open house on Friday. (in person)

I still need one more in order to go to Leadership this year. Even if that happens, I don't think DH will let me go. I will be at conferece for sure though. (wave 3 unless it changes)

You never know, all of the excitement of getting that first recruit may start a snow ball effect... At your next show try inviting friends to join together. That actually worked at one show I did. I told them my Director and her best friend (both Directors) are in this business together and they have a lot of fun supporting eachother and going on trips together with their families. Three people signed up. All of them qualified but only one is still active.

  • #830
Got in one more contact today.

A girl who cancelled her show (the day of her show) just got back to me. Her show was supposed to be in July. She just moved to a city about 30 minutes away and still wants to eventually do a show, but not right now....

I'll give it a try.....

Lately, I've been doing shows for all kinds of different DS consultants. I think their guests are already bombarded with offers from the hosts to join THEIR company. I still ask everyone. You never know....

I had three contacts today. One sale and one possible October/November show. Not too shabby. :)

  • #833
Okay, it has been a long time since I have posted. I just finished catching up on this thread, and I have renewed inspiration. My 3 contacts a day have been sporadic. I probably reach 3 maybe 3-4 times a week. Now, I am ready to be more consistent.

I started September with about 4-5 kitchen shows and 2-3 cattys. 2 kitchen shows postponed on me. (1 til Oct, one still needs to reschedule). 2 kitchen shows turned into catalog shows, so I will end up with 1-2 kitchen shows and about 5 catty shows for September.

Today's three contacts: Spoke to a lead I met at Office Depot on Saturday. She had not heard about PC. She booked an Oct. 10th show today. Talked to my last Thursday host about closing out her show, we will do that tomorrow, but we talked a little about the opportunity, yea!!!, and she mentioned that her most recent outside order (which was for a single corn butterer) wanted to host a show, so I called that person, and we booked for Oct. 15th. (which I will give to my hostess of course, if she signs). I am feeling very productive and happy now!

More calls to do tomorrow!

  • #834
for today I:
1. spoke with last Friday's host about an totaling an order
2. initial host coaching for an Oct host
3. spoke with a host who recently cancelled and who has not intentions of rescheduling. Actually, to be honest I'm glad to "bless & release" this one!
4. Spoke to 2 of my newer recruits to set up coaching calls with them
5. Confirmed a date with one of my potential bookings from a weekend show

I had a lot of email contacts today - one October host who cancelled, maybe a possible reschedule or catty show, online orders, and an email asking about the opportunity!! I also left a ton of voicemails! Tonight was a bad night to make calls (family scheduling), but I have my list ready for tomorrow......

Hope you all had a great & productive day

  • #835
I spoke today with a guest from my show yesterday - she is going to book a show - can't do it real soon - but I'm hoping before the end of the year. Talked to my 2 hosts from Friday and Sunday and a catalog show host who will closing out her show tomorrow. Left message for a future host about setting her date - hoping to get some calls back soon.

I had a great 3-2-1 day today.

2 shows booked for November! YAY!

Ran into a potential recruit at the grocery store. She mentioned she got something in the mail from me but hadn't opened it yet. It was an invite to my open house Friday. She said she'd try to come and thanked me for keeping in touch with her.

Closed two shows also. One for $426.04 and one for $593.07.

Also spoke to several peeps about my Open house and even if they can't come, said they'd order!

  • #838
Forgot to add that I spoke with one of my catalog hosts and she has a $178 order in addition to 5 more she has to still give me. Looks like it'll be a good one. We'll close on the 30th though.

  • #839
Spoke to Two of my upcoming host about their shows........ in Oct.... Made a few customer care calls... and some potentaial booking dates!!

  • #840
host coaching, host coaching, host coaching...........
wow! Getting a full calendar means I spend so much time on the phone with hosts as most of mine are VERY chatty!

Have a new recruit lead, she is a guest of an upcoming show. She can't make the show, but requested info on becoming a consultant. And of course I will be sending her the new promo flyer:love:

Did have 2 shows cancel today - and honestly it really didn't bother me as they were both booked so far out that I was questioning if they would hold. If anything I'm just happy that they cancelled now, when I have time to rebook those dates:p

I also did some coaching calls with my team - I'm really trying to get them to take advantage of this recruiting promo. IT IS HUGE!!

Did I ever tell you guys how much I LOVE being a PC Consultant (and soon to be Director!)

I have made a TON of contacts today, mostly calls for my open house on Friday. So far, about 13 yes's so far but already $300 in sales!

No bookings today though. :0(

I was just happy I got to get a hold of real people!

  • #842
Didn't get my evening calls in that I wanted to BUT, that is okay, because my time was spent on closing last weeks show, and getting ready to sign the host up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is using her host credit, so now we just have to wait until tomorrow or so so that she can sign up on-line.

I have one other girl on my team, but she has not qualified yet, and will go inactive after 9/27. :( . So close to FD!!! I do have one other lead that I sent the flyer to today, and will be following up over the weekend. (Interviewed her a couple of weeks ago, and she asked to give her 2-3 weeks.)

I did make a customer care call today, she had already told me at the show in August that she may host in December or so.

Spoke to the postal clerk today about PC, but she really wasn't interested. Her husband buys her lots of PC products and she doesn't use them is what she told me.

It will be another day of phone calls tomorrow!!!!

I spoke with a host today. Meeting to Close her show tomorrow. She has two bookings to add to her own re-booking. That makes four for November sell-a-thon. Yeah!! I'm meeting to close another show tomorrow. And talking to a catalog host about closing this week. I'll follow up with my Saturday host tomorrow. Oh, and I have an order for 40 large serving spatulas. Crazy huh? I'm submitting this as a show tomorrow. Easy. This is my biggest sales month ever in 2 1/2 years.

Me too! I've passed my record by $100 so far and I still have a cooking show, open house, and 2 catty shows to turn in by the end of the month!

My Tuesday evening calls had to wait because we had some storms coming through. I don't do calls when there's lightening. I did, however, talk to one person about recruiting and two others about PC in general while I was out and about during the day. So, actually, I got my 3 contacts in. :)I'll be making extra calls this evening, though, to make up for last night.

  • #847
Great job, everyone.
Well, thankfully, I've been so busy with shows this month that I haven't had time to make calls. I've been making my contacts at shows. It's better that way for me. So last night I made apprx. 10 contacts and Monday I made apprx. 9. So I should be good for 6 days. Last week I made 9 or 10 at shows, too.
Now I have to make calls again because I don't have a show for two weeks and I'd like to fill up my November. I have three shows booked for October and 3 in November, so off to the phone for more bookings. I don't want to spend my earnings on the new products. I want to earn them FREE!
I'm also having a great month as far as sales go. This is my highest selling month ever. Yippee!
Keep going, everyone!

Hey
Paulettes gone missing again. Paulette....Where are you???

  • #849
I contacted three people today, resulting in 1 order. I also have a past host who decided to skip this year, but definitely wants to do a show next year. I assured her I'd keep in touch. :)Let me tell you about the show I closed today. The host was supposed to do a cooking show on Sunday, but wound up having to take her dad to the hospital.I called her Monday to see how her dad was doing. The message I left just asked about her dad. I didn't mention her show. She called me back to apologize for not holding her show date. (Her dad's doing better.) I assured her it was no problem. She wanted to change to a catalog show so the people who had already ordered could get their stuff. (I love a considerate host. :))So, I show up today to close the show and, instead of the $150 - $200 in orders I thought she had said she had, she had about $60 in orders. Well, I told her that it wasn't a problem. She really wanted them to get their things right away. She also had a couple of things she wanted right away, so I told her I would place them as an individual order. Well, she decided to order enough to make it a show so she could get the 60% off on cookware. She used her 60% to get the 7-piece Executive. Plus, she booked a new show for October. Yippee!

  • #850
today has been one of those days where I feel like I'm on the hamster wheel!:yuck: :yuck: You know, when you're doing things for your business that need to be done (host packets, guest folders, etc) but things that don't make you money. Trip to post office, yada yada yada
So again I'm trying to keep up with host coaching, which has not left alot of time for other calls. But I did find out that one of my cancellations from a few weeks ago has about $200 in orders to submit for a catty;) so I'm going to pick those up tomorrow.
Confirmed a catalog show for October tonight -sending one of those host packets that I made today.
Trying to close out my shows from this weekend - one host is asking alot of questions about our biz. Of course I want her signed TODAY, but she is thinking after the new year. And I KNOW that I would rather have her on her time than my own!
Left messages for some other potential catalog shows, and trying to contact upcoming hosts - no luck on any of those calls yet.

also spoke to one of my new team members. She has some family members that have fallen ill right after she signed, and has yet to do a show. Her one scheduled show that is coming up we were going to do together as her kick-off. If she can't do it (and the host is very anxious), then I'm doing the show for her and giving her the sales, bookings, recruit leads.

so, how was your day?
