What worries me about Obama's policies?

In summary, Cathy does not like the idea of national healthcare because she does not think it is a good thing for the people or the country. She also does not think that unions, social programs, etc. have been successful in adjusting to the new needs. She also thinks that the lack of leadership experience is a problem.

Did you read this, today? What you're saying is what I read from this link.

Humanity's insurrection against God

And, I also am thinking what you say about the dude with the lawsuit is probably true. I listen to a lot of conservative talk radio and none of them believe Obama was born outside of the U.S. But, I do wonder why the birth certificate was sealed or is that a lie too? My husband surprised me last night by telling me he believes the radical stories. Trust me, I don't like Obama and his radical liberal policies, but the other stories about not being born here and being a Muslim are too far out there for me to spend time on.

So you understand my frustration and disgust then.. :) Ugh! I'd like to say I can't wait until November 5th, however this year... I'm not so sure!

I just cannot bring myself to read yet another article that points out what we all know will happen if Obama is elected...because those that are on the fence are not going to read this and choose McCain... I have three people in my office on the fence, but say they're leaning towards Obama because of what they've heard about him from the MSM... Congrats MSM... you've just ruined the USA and I hope you're happy!

Wow, I've not read her before, but I've seen her on the Today show? Is that where?

That was interesting from Campbell Brown - especially since what I have heard from her before led me to believe she was one of Obama's disciples....

Maybe her eyes are being opened to the truth?

I liked the last 2 paragraphs:

....On this issue today, former Sen. Bob Kerrey of Nebraska, an Obama supporter, writes in The New York Post, "a hypocrite is a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue -- who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings. And that, it seems to me, is what we are doing now."

For this last week, Sen. Obama will be rolling in dough. His commercials, his get-out-the-vote effort will, as the pundits have said, dwarf the McCain campaign's final push. But in fairness, you have to admit, he is getting there in part on a broken promise.

Interesting also that Bob Kerrey would admit that Obama is a hypocrite and liar, but is still willing to support him.

  • #655
Well, he says "we" are doing this. So he would not be supporting himself, either. I'm assuming he means "we" as the campaign to elect Obama.

Yes, she used to be one of the week-end hosts with Lester Holt. She also filled-in for the regulars during the week. I really like her.

Good morning everyone, I just read that ABC is NOT going to be airing the Nobama ad tonight, let's all watch Pushing Daisies in support of this! Yeah!

Kacey - Where are the sources for that? As late as 10/24 - Obama hadn't answered it and was letting the request expire. He lawyers asked to have it dismissed but as of then there was no judgment. There are also lawsuits in several other states asking for the information.

It should still be interesting...Obama didn't bring forth the information that could have proved it wrong, but rather let it expire knowing that they'd rule that he cannot make judgment on the case.Personally, what really scares me is that Obama constantly appears to be "above the law or rules" which is very dangerous!

CHANGE! Change what? Change America because it's bad? It's a bad place? We are living in bad times? I happen to love America, though there are definitely things that need to be improved. Here's a column by Dennis Prager.

Get out and help the GOP from your county. Phone calls need to be made. Voters' guides need to be delivered. Polls need to be watched on election day, and more phone calls need to be made in the evening of election day.

Dear Newsmax Reader: I have some incredible news for you. Last week I reported that the National Republican Trust PAC had raised more than $1 million for its emergency effort to expose Barack Obama in key swing states. Our goal was to raise $2 million by today. We smashed that goal: we have raised over $3 million today! Your generosity made this possible. You are standing up for this country against one of the most vicious assaults ever waged on the Republican party by the liberal media establishment. Smear after smear against Sarah Palin and John McCain. But Obama's leftwing agenda and radical friends get barely any attention from the big media! Let me tell you what's at stake here. Obama has promised two major initiatives as soon as he becomes president. First, he wants to close down talk radio with the so called "Fairness Doctrine." And remember this Orwellian "Fairness" broadcasting law could easily be made to apply to Fox News. Second, Obama wants to give 12 million illegals citizenship. You may recall they tried that in 2007 but failed. This time Obama will have super-majorities in the Senate and the House. He will get his wish. As these illegals become citizens most will register as Democrats and vote for Democratic candidates. Obama knows that by granting millions of illegals citizenship they will have a super-majority over the Republicans in every future national election. This single act — giving illegals citizenship — will give the Democrats permanent control over the House and Senate for a generation to come. We already know just how close the past two elections have been. If Obama puts even just a few hundred thousand new immigrant voters on the election rolls, he will effectively end the two party system in this nation. That's what's at stake here. We need to continue our battle. We need your help. Make sure you see our ads — go to The National Republican Trust - Political Action Committee now. Make sure you donate. Go Here Now. Make sure you tell your family and friends to donate. Dick Morris has said repeatedly Obama can be beaten. He believes our ad campaign can do just that. Thank you again for your help to our worthy cause. Yours for America, Scott Wheeler
Executive Director P.S. We are now running ads in 5 battleground states. A week ago we were in just one — Ohio. We want to roll out to 10 states and begin national TV ads as well. We need to raised another $3 million by Friday. I need you help to do. Call our donation hotline at 1-866-957-1467 or Go Here Now. Paid for by The National Republican Trust PAC. Where Do the Candidates Stand On Key Economic Issues?

To help the business community make an informed decision on Election Day, here is a side-by-side comparison of where the two presidential candidates stand on select economic and business issues.

The information is taken from the candidates' Web sites, their public statements, and their voting records in the Senate as of September 1. It does not cover the candidates' entire policy proposals. For more details, visit JohnMcCain.com - McCain-Palin 2008 and Welcome to Obama for America.

Ok, I am a military wife, so I cant keep my mouth shut! But first, speaking of going to someone who just squeaked by in school. I am sorry, but I could care less what academic standings, awards, certifications, etc our president holds. If he has the talent and the abilities to lead a country, more power to him! As far as racing into a war, do you remember what happened on 9/11? How our military bases were immediately on lock down, how our soldiers were immediately put on alert because USA WAS ATTACKED! That is our military's job, to go when they are called to serve. Bush was elected into office to be our commander in chief, head of the military. That means he is "the big boss" and makes the big decisions for our military men and women. I do not feel that our Commander in Chief should be a man/women that has not served in the military themselves. I have never had a boss over me that has not done what they hired me to do. That is just common sense! I am scared for what for what my husband and all the other military men and women will face if Obama is elected. The military is still not up to the numbers it should be since Clinton was in office and drastically cut the military and the military pay. It was a relief to have a republican back in office so my husband could be compensated for the hard work he does serving his country!Ok, I am off my soapbox!

From the desk of:
Mat Staver, Founder
Liberty CounselI have a very important update on the election. But first, I want to be clear -- Liberty Counsel is a nonprofit organization and therefore does not support or oppose any candidate for office. That said, I feel I must address a situation that is important to every American. We have witnessed media "spin" or "silence" on all of the issues we are fighting to defend - perhaps especially on ballot initiatives that would preserve marriage as the union of one man and one woman.+ + We the people have a right to knowNow the Los Angeles Times is refusing to release a video in its possession that reportedly shows Barack Obama toasting Rashid Khalidi-a mouthpiece for the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) who espouses violent anti-Israel views. In the toast, Obama is said to speak of his long friendship with Khalidi. One speaker evidently compares Israeli "Zionists"
to Osama Bin Laden.Voters deserve to confirm or deny this report with their own eyes! Only then can they decide what to believe about the media reports on the LA Times video. There are many unanswered questions presented by this video.
Perhaps the story is exaggerated. Perhaps it is true.
Either way, we deserve to know. And if the LA Times can suppress vital information that could affect our national security, what are they willing to do to make sure that same-sex marriage is the law on November 4?No matter which candidate you support for president, you're entitled to full disclosure on where the candidates stand on key issues. During this year's election cycle the media has cast aside all pretense of objectivity. They have become shameless shills for political candidates they support and have railed against ballot initiatives - such as marriage protection amendments - they oppose. The LA Times is among the worst offenders.I believe this is a question the American people deserve to have answered - and that's why the LA Times must release this video!+ + Urgent Action -- Tell the Times to release the videoI'm asking you to contact the LA Times today and demand that this video be released:phone: 213-237-5000 Fax: 213-237-7679Also, take a moment right now to email the LA Times:[email protected]Finally, please forward this message to your friends.Too much is at stake to let the LA Times suppress what could be a key piece of information that the American voters deserve to hear!Thank you for your prayers and support.Mathew Staver, Founder and Chairman

Michael Reagan : You Can't Be Half-Socialist - Townhall.com

That is so sad - and petty.

I heard a lot of "Bush is the president and we should respect him." when people were saying negative things about him. If Obama is elected we all should make efforts to unite and respect him. The majority will speak. If McCain is elected I will make efforts and respect him. I would expect the same of you all.

I can respect the office, and be respectful in the way I address him- but that doesn't mean I have to sit back and do nothing while he turns America into a socialist state. It's hard to unify when you are going against the basic beliefs of so many people.

During this election year let’s be reminded of these words:

* You cannot help the poor, by destroying the rich.

* You cannot strengthen the weak, by weakening the strong.

* You cannot bring about prosperity, by discouraging thrift.

* You cannot lift the wage earner up, by pulling the wage payer down.

* You cannot further the brotherhood of man, by inciting class hatred.

* You cannot build character and courage, by taking away people’s initiative and independence.

* You cannot help people permanently, by doing for them what they could and should, do for themselves.

Do you recognize the author?

So you really think that Mickey Mouse is going to show up at the polls? Or someone is going to show up and say he's Homer Simpson and show ID that says he is? As a poll worker I can tell you that there are several checks and balances in place and it just can't happen. I just got back from training - even those of us who have done it many times before had to go so that there are no doubts we are following the law - at the training they said that all voting places will have people watching us to be sure things are legal (at least in our county). All this talk of voter fraud is just another attempt to suppress the vote.

Are you kidding me? A fifteen year old boy in Lansing recieved his voter registration card in the mail. He could have gone to vote because he had a card. His family was honest and exposed the problem, thank goodness. Do you really think that is the only case?

No, but Mickey Mouse does vote by absentee ballot and your polling place is NOT reflective of all.Talk of voter fraud another attempt to suppress the vote? Really? By who?!?!?!
That isn't a valid comment.I have to say that I am resisting the urge to call that petty...Oh well, shouldn't have come on today...back to work and praying that no matter what, God's will be done in the future of our country. I KNOW in the end there will be people elected that turn against God. I will vote otherwise, but will pray that it isn't happening yet.

'Twas the night before elections

And all through the town

Tempers were flaring

Emotions all up and down!

I, in my bathrobe

and all full of spunk

Had cut off the TV

Tired of political junk
.
When all of a sudden

There arose such a noise

I peered out of my window

Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet

They wanted my pay

To give to the others

Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money

And quick as a wink

Jumped back on his bandwagon

As I gagged from the stink

He then rallied his henchmen

Who were pulling his cart

I could tell they were out

To tear my country apart!

' On Fannie, on Freddie,

On Biden and Ayers!

On Acorn, On Pelosi'

He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause

And as he flew out of sight

I heard him laugh at the nation

Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think

On this one final note-

IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM

GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

Ha Ha I got a kick out of this!

I cannot wait for all of this to be over! I'm so tired of the pompous boasting and the misleading facts and the lies. The enormous amount of money that is being spent is absolutely vulgar! When I think of all the good-will that could have been done with even a small percentage of it galls me.
