What worries me about Obama's policies?

In summary, Cathy does not like the idea of national healthcare because she does not think it is a good thing for the people or the country. She also does not think that unions, social programs, etc. have been successful in adjusting to the new needs. She also thinks that the lack of leadership experience is a problem.

I love it! But unfortunately die-hard Democrats say that this can all "happen"! I have been out of a job now over 4 months...and it is because most companies are "making do" with the administrative staff they have because they can't afford to hire anyone since people want to "start" at $9-10 an hour! After 25 years, I would think I could command that figure, but it's not happening!

Wow---here in the twin cities admins make about $35K per year to start...and that's entry level- however I believe we are the third highest taxed state in the US...so maybe that's why? We have to make more so the government can keep up with all it's plans to give more to people that don't work for it. I always said I work for those that don't want to. (please, this is meant for those that really DO NOT work but could- those that abuse the system, year after year, after year!)

Met our Mayoral candidate today- he stayed and spoke with DH and I for over an hour in our driveway. He's a democrat---doesn't want to vote for Obama, however saw McCain have a temper tantrum back when he was running against Bush...and said that was enough to keep him from voting for McCain. Huh?!? So voting for someone with no soul, who is clearly a bought man...is okay to vote for?

OK.. this is scarey... and another reason Obama scares me.. This is a true story. It was sent to me by a friend who knows these people. If you are not convinced as to the authenticity.. It was in the Lufkin paper the next day...I can connect a link so you can see this. It is also on snopes.. but last I read.. it was acting like the girl really threatened Obama... The Secret Service drove from Houston to Lufking ( about 140 miles) to talk to her.. Now this poor woman will be scarred for life.... And the lying obama supporter is remaining anonymous..
What do you think about this???????????

Subject: Secret Service On My Steps READ TRUE STORY OF MY NEIGHBOR IN IDLEWOOD

Dear Friends: We have had some interesting things going on our street this week but this "takes the cake". The election is less than a month away - people need to be aware of this information of the tactics that have been used this week on my neighbor. This is not a political agenda I am on, this is a matter of principle. She is not a 'mental case nor political activist' just your everyday young Mom with small children and a husband out of the military. If this is the kind of "change" Mr. Obama is referring to, we are definitely in for more than what has met the eye. What has happened here is not only appalling but frightening to think we may no longer have the freedom to speak against "the powers that be" without the Secret Service showing up at your door. Keeping in mind, there is no taped conversation - simply a disgruntled volunteer who was not getting the response she was looking for.. Jessica has contacted several politicians and news organizations - some who have told her "this is out of my jurisdiction". Please! Enough is enough - I for one will stand behind this young woman and notify every person I can possibly think of to make people aware of this travesty! I hope you will forward this on as well to as many people as you possibly can - especially to our elected officials and news organizations. Feel free to email me for verification.

Connie Wells—Lufkin, TX

On Wednesday the 1st of October I received a call on my cell while in the car with my husband. It was a woman who identified herself as calling from the Obama Campaign. The phone # she called from was 903-798-6020 which lists as "Obama Volunteers of Texarkana" (Texas).

She asked if I was an Obama supporter to which I replied:

"No, I don't support him, your guy is a socialist who voted four times in the State Senate to let little babies die in hospital closets; I think you should find something better to do with your time." I hung up.

Thursday, October 2, I answered the front door to find the Secret Service. Immediately I thought of the call and was furious that apparently you are not allowed to call Obama a Socialist without the Secret Service coming to investigate. Instead, they asked me about the following comment, relayed by the Obama Volunteer of Texarkana who called me, unsolicited on my cell phone:

"I will never support Obama and he will wind up dead on a hospital floor."
My husband laughed and told them “No, she called him a socialist but she never said a word about him dying.” I gave them my actual quote. The woman asked insolently “Oh? Well why would she make that up?”
I replied that I supposed she wasn’t happy about what I said about her candidate and the Agent said “That’s right, you were rude!” The last time I checked being rude wasn’t a crime in America.

Luckily the big file they had gathered on me didn't indicate mental instability or a past life of stalking/crime, however they did want to know how I felt about Obama. That was my limit. I told the Agent in no uncertain terms that my thoughts were not pertinent to their investigation, that this was America and the last time I checked I was allowed to think whatever I wanted without being questioned by the Secret Service. In fact, even if I had said what she claimed, that isn't a threat. I told them (again) and my husband verified that the statement reported by Obama's volunteer was a lie. I asked them if there was a tape of the call and they said no. I said, "So on the word of a ticked off Obama supporter you are on my porch with no other evidence and you want to question me about my THOUGHTS!?"
They informed me that there was no evidence she was an Obama supporter…someone calling from his campaign…are you kidding?

I was not allowed to know the name of my accuser at which point they informed me that it wasn't like I was in a court of law, YET, as if this was a good thing. I recognized this as a veiled threat. I told them I would happily go to court since I did nothing wrong and at least then my accuser would have to face me rather than sending the thought police to my house.
They then said they were trying to do me a favor, that they came to me first before “embarrassing you by going to all your neighbors and family”, another threat? I told them to be my guest and talk to whomever they wanted but they weren’t going to investigate my thoughts on my porch.

They also informed me that it would be easier if the next time a supporter calls me I just say "Yeah sure count me in, or just hang up" apparently so she won't get her undies in a bundle and give them more useless trips. Yeah right. I said "Look, someone calls me unsolicited on my cell phone to ask me to support their candidate and I can't tell them why I don't?" I said I was sorry they made a wasted trip but if they had a problem with some made up lie they needed to go talk to her about it because it wasn't my fault they had to drive from Houston for nothing.

At one point I went inside and got a notepad to record their badge numbers and they refused to show me their badges. They had done the quick flip when they arrived. I asked for a card and the female Agent refused to give me one stating “You’re not going to get a card.” The male Agent gave me a card and told me I could contact Houston with any questions.
The fact that the volunteer lied, the fact that the Secret Service came to my house to question me about my thoughts and feelings and threaten to embarrass me to my neighbors and go to court if I didn’t cooperate is not really the tragedy here. Because that girl on the phone doesn’t have the pull to send the Secret Service to my home. Someone high in the ranks of a campaign working for a man who may be the next President of the United States of America felt comfortable bringing the force of the Federal Government to bear on a private citizen on nothing but the word of a partisan volunteer.
I want to file a counter complaint that false charges were made, that a false report was given to a peace officer. The Secret Service told me I cannot because they will protect the identity of the complainant. I also want the file they have on me destroyed and I want to know that my phone isn’t tapped, etcetera. I am hearing a lot of “Out of my Jurisdiction”.
Do I also hear jackboots?

This morning on Bill Bennett he had Grover Norquist on talking about what will happen if Obama gets elected and implements his tax plans.

First off, the obvious, if you tax the "rich" prices for everything will go up. When you go to a store and buy things, you are paying property tax and income tax for the company. So, you'll be paying more for things in order to support the higher taxes those "rich" people will be paying.

Second, the value of the "poor" and "rich" people's 401Ks will go down! People, think! Seriously! Higher taxes to "spread the wealth" or redistribute wealth will not do you any good!

Later today, I think you will be able to listen to the segment with Norquist.

Dear Newsmax Reader:

Recently we sent you an important message from the National Republican Trust PAC. Political guru Dick Morris has praised this group and says, "The National Republican Trust is a very effective organization that can make a huge difference on election day." We agree. Make sure you read their important message and help them expose Barack Obama.

Obama’s Plan:
Mohamed Atta Gets His Driver’s License

Dear Fellow American:

We have just weeks to go before Election Day . . . time is running short for us to avert a major disaster for our country. That disaster’s name is President Barack Obama.

But this disaster can be averted. I’m confident about this — even though the slanted media are overstating Obama’s inevitability.

But the numbers don’t lie.

The latest Zogby poll had John McCain trailing Obama by two points. Just two points!

Despite the full-court press to destroy McCain and Sarah Palin, Katie Couric’s antics against her, and a daily onslaught of media spin . . . McCain is still within striking distance.

The stakes have never been higher for the future of the country.

We either patriotically turn the country over to a man who has proudly served his nation in war time and peace — or we face electing a man who has a checkered past, a man who has counted domestic terrorists among his friends, and a man who spent 15 years in a church where his pastor regularly damned and condemned the United States.

Barack Obama is not simply a risky choice as our next president —
He is a dangerous one.

This is why I have taken the helm here at the National Republican Trust Political Action Committee.

Here at the National Republican Trust, we understand our mission. It’s simple. It will also drive the left-wing media nuts.

Here’s the plan: We will tell the American people the truth about Barack Obama!

Every time John McCain or Sarah Palin tries to tell the truth about Obama, they are painted as mean-spirited and negative.

We here at the National Republican Trust can do the job McCain and Palin can’t.

But we need your help. Time is urgent — it’s crunch time.

You Can Help Us — Donate Today by Going Here Now

The latest reports show Obama outspending McCain by 3-to-1 in key states.

Millions of dubious new voters with the help of groups like ACORN are being registered to put the most extreme liberal in the history of the presidency in the White House.

But I’ll shock you: that’s OK!

Let them spend millions in getting new “voters” and millions more in TV ads.

I believe truth is more powerful than lies. How powerful?

Well, so powerful, in fact, that I believe one airing of our TV ads will equal at least 10 airings of theirs.

This issue will nail him.

In the closing weeks of this election, Obama is trying to remake himself as a moderate to win over lower-income, white, Democratic and independent voters.

He wants to hide the facts about his record. He is the most extreme liberal ever to be nominated by a major party.

We all know his 100 percent liberal rating in Congress, his support for the TOTAL gun ban in Washington, D.C., his opposition to protecting babies born alive, and his support for tax increases.

But there is one issue almost all Americans agree on: Illegal aliens should not be given driver’s licenses.

Help Expose Obama's License Plan — Go Here Now

Mohamed Atta's Florida
driver's license.

Not after 9/11.

Did you know that Mohamed Atta, the 9/11 ring leader, had a valid Florida driver’s license?

Did you know 13 of the 19 hijackers had obtained valid driver’s licenses? Armed with these licenses, eight of the hijackers even registered to vote!

Here is the shocking fact: Obama strongly supports giving illegal aliens in America driver’s licenses.

He said as much during two Democratic debates earlier this year.

The head of Homeland Security said such thinking was dangerous for national security.

Even Hillary Clinton backed away from Obama’s radical driver’s license plan.

Obama’s position is not a new one: We discovered that Obama has been a major proponent of driver’s licenses for illegals since his days as an Illinois state senator.

We have no doubt that, as president, Obama will also champion this radical plan.

With Osama bin Laden still at large, with al-Qaida promising “spectacular” attacks on the U.S homeland, with the threat of them using weapons of mass destruction against our cities — biological, chemical, and nuclear — can we risk putting such a man in the Oval Office?

Doesn’t he remember what happened on 9/11? More than 3,000 Americans were murdered.

Doesn’t he want to prevent that from ever happening again?

If he supports driver’s licenses for illegals, the answer is clear.

We need to inform millions of Americans about this man and his risky judgment.

We are days away from our new TV ad exposing Obama’s support for driver’s licenses for illegals.

But we need your help. We’re already preparing our ad budget in key swing states. The more you can donate to us today, the more we can spend in the coming days.

And don’t forget, you can donate a maximum of $5,000. Your spouse can also make a $5,000 donation.

With $5,000 we can saturate a whole city/market in a key swing state for one whole night.

But even $1,000 helps us. With $1,000 we can run 10 TV ads in a key market.

Whatever you can give, $500, $250 or any amount, can make a huge difference.

We at the National Republican Trust PAC appreciate your support and love of our country. We will not fail you. Too much is at stake.

Help Expose Obama's License Plan — Go Here Now

Thank you.

Yours for America,

Scott Wheeler
Executive Director

P.S. If you agree with this letter, you can help in two ways. First, donate to us, and let us fight for you. Second, forward this e-mail and letter to at least 10 of your friends and family. Encourage them to read it. We can reach millions of Americans if even a fraction of our readers do this.

Yes, we "work out" our salvation every day, but once your saved your saved according what I believe the Bible says. We don't work for salvation. Jesus did the work, and we try daily to live for him. That's what I think "work out" our salvation means. It's after we choose to let Jesus in our lives as our Savior, but this isn't a thread about salvation.

Here is something I found interesting...if this has already been posted and discussed I apologize.

All the talk about how Obama's past associations with terrorists and others shouldn't matter...has anyone thought about this?

If Obama was applying for a job with the FBI or CIA he would not even be considered for a job because of his past association with known terrorists. So, if he is actually elected he wouldn't even qualify to be his own body guard.

Just something that makes you go...hhmm

Just something that makes you go...hhmm

I just don't understand how this point is not being brought up by the American people...if we see this here on CS, shouldn't this be something we are talking about all of our country? I really have nothing personal against Obama, not his color nor his upbringing. What I do have against him is that he is too far gone on the liberal end of things that I fear for my country's future if he gets into office.

This says it all~

My Dh is soooo calm right now about this election~I have shuddered many a time during the debates saying "God, I hope this man is not out next President"...Dh calmly says "He won't be.". When I ask how he can be so sure, he says "People say one thing and do another all the time~there are so many people that will not be able to truly vote for him once they are in that booth!" I do hope he is right!

I haven't been watching the news lately, but my husband LOVES to listen and watch the Sunday news specials. He said that after watching everything yesterday, it seems they have officially declared Obama the next President. Ugg!

That, my friend, is not new. MSM has been declaring Obama the hope of our country for a long time. It's turned people away from thinking and researching. It's good that Meg's husband is calm. We all know where our true hope and peace comes from and we have to draw on that, no matter the outcome.

Another video to view.. I haven't seen it anywhere..

Here's a video that you need to watch and pass it on to others. Where was Obama born??? Is he a legal US citizen? Many of you have probably heard rumors, and Snopes has put forth information, but this is the latest information from the person that filed the lawsuit, Democrat lawyer from PA, Philip Berg. Please take the time to watch it to the end. K

Everyone should watch this!!
Then What?

your thoughts on this??????

ABC News' Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.

"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

"I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate," Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. "And he's gonna need help. And the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you - not financially to help him - we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right."

Not only will the next administration have to deal with foreign affairs issues, Biden warned, but also with the current economic crisis.

"Gird your loins," Biden told the crowd. "We're gonna win with your help, God willing, we're gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left with the most significant task. It's like cleaning the Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we have with this economy."

I think because it's pretty much assumed that if McCain is elected, he will know how to handle international affairs...thus averting a crisis, or being able to handle it in a way that Obama can't.

RIGHT! I just think it's interesting, that's all...and I PRAY that the "crisis" is not in the form of an attack on our soil...which is my biggest fear..what "better" way to test our new INEXPERIENCED president?

I get so upset when I watch the MSM (can't do it anymore) and they rail on Sarah Palin's "lack of experience"....yet totally ignore the fact that she has MORE experience in an Executive branch of Gov't. than Obama. :grumpy: and just as much experience as he has with Foreign Affairs.
