Boost Your Success with 3-2-1 Accountability: A Productivity Diary

In summary, Sandy is trying to do 3-2-1 but has trouble getting to 4 contacts a week. Paulette is trying to do 3-2-1 but is not doing well with only 2 shows per month. JAE is trying to do 3-2-1 7 days a week.

Made one contact today at church. She wants to do a show but is not sure on a date! It's something at least! Can you believe September is here already? My first two shows are Thursday & Friday! My Friday host was acting annoyed with me because I jsut gave her the shopping list on Saturday. I thought it was plenty of time but I guess not. I usually do it sooner but it's a recipe I've never done before and had to practice it some more before committing to it.

Sorry! I just hijacked my own post!

  • #652
Okay, made another contact today...gave a catalog to a cashier at the grocery store. That's two contacts...maybe I can get one more....

  • #653
I talked with a friend the other day. Her daughter is getting married in November. The family has been collecting "hope chest" items for the last several years for all three of the girls. I told her that I didn't know if she had any cookware for Abby, but . . .I told her about the September Host Special. She said she'd think about it, and to remind her.I saw her at church on Sunday and she said to bring her the stuff for a catalog show! She already has two orders ready to go.I love my job!I generally don't do a lot of contacting on Sunday, so I didn't make calls. I did carry my PC bag while out with The Furry Guy. I chatted with a couple of people about PC, but didn't get any leads. With the holiday today, I'm doing nothin'. I'll be back at work tomorrow, though.

  • #654
Friday, I booked a show with a high school friend for October. I sold a Christmas present to a SIL on Saturday. Today I was out all day at a go-cart, mini golf, laser tag, video game place. I wore my red PC t-shirt. No one asked me about PC. I did get a date from my sister for a November show.

  • #655
I made a couple of calls today. Got a catalog show, but I'm not sure it will be much of anything. The host is super busy right now, but does want to take advantage of the host special to get the dbg for 60% off. I think she will just try to get the $150 in orders. That's alright, it's better than nothing!!:D

  • #656
I have at least two catalog shows for this month and maybe one more. They just want the cookware at 60% off. Good for me and them. I say "Go for it!" Whatever gets me free cookware!

  • #657
I called one person I had met at a fair back in late July. She actually called me back within minutes of leaving my message - she thanked me for following up with her (I had sent her a catalog a few weeks prior) and said she appreciated my persistence. She's looking towards October or later and specifically asked me to call her in early October to figure out a date. So it just goes to show you - people do want to hear from us - and it's sure nice to be told that!

  • #658
Gina,It's great to be persistent. That's how I got one of my recruits. I kept sending her invites to our cluster meetings, email updates, phone calls and one day out of the blue she called and said "I'm ready- How do I get started!" I'm right with you for Level 1 -Yeh! I'm going to do it!!

  • #659
Julie,

I figured if I put it in my signature - I'd have to be accountable for it and I so want it!! I'm working my business like crazy this fall:)

How do you know what wave you'll be in for next year? Is it just one more than this year?

  • #661
Do hosts count as contacts or no?

I spoke to 2 up-coming hosts.

I also spoke to the same lady that I talked to on Sunday who wants to have a show. We still haven't set a date, but have narrowed it down to October. It's progress at least!

Labor day and all, not very productive for contacts.

  • #662
I got a call from the host of the show benefiting the fire victim. When I left on Thursday, sales were just over $400.00. She was calling to change the close date from Tuesday to Wednesday. Then, she told me that sales are just over $600 right now! I'm really excited for her. As I mentioned before (on another thread, I think), the majority of the sales came from at-risk young women, most of whom gave $1 to $10.That made my day. It isn't the highest show total--not even close. It's very inspirational, though. That's one of the things I love about my job. PC has brought me into contact with some wonderful people.

Ellen,

We'll find out later in the year (I believe) in KCN - there will be a list of executive directors and what wave they are in.

So I didn't get as much done on vacation as I thought... it was really too nice to finally have a vacation with no real purpose and to be able to stay up late chatting and drinking wine and sleep in and veg in the morning... I was back to work today though! I rescheduled my show on the 16th to the 30th (she forgot she had a wedding out of town that weekend), I talked with my next Thursday host and we decided on a theme (a garnishing show! I better start practicing!!!), I spoke with the person we were waiting on an order from to close my 1st sept show, she placed a $77 order and booked an November show (we don't have a date yet, will be talking to her bowling girls tomorrow, and firm up date next week). So I think that makes 4 for sure bookings and 2 possible bookings from my show! Yippee!

Today was a good day!I started by visiting the post office where our local sub usually works. She had mentioned possibly hosting a September catalog show. Well, she's had two fellow PO employees (the woman she was subbing for and the woman subbing for her :)) and at least two customers tell her they wanted to order if she had a party. Sooo, I just so happened to have a host kit in my van, which I immediately gave her. I dropped a host kit off for the friend whose daughter is getting married in November. I spoke with a host for later in the month.I attended a party for another DS company at a friend's home about an hour away. She's a friend from church who also knows the November bride. I told her that if she needed any PC, our friend was doing a catty to get cookware for her daughter. She asked for a catalog. I did this privately in the kitchen. In all, I gave out three catalogs. There were only six of us there. BTW, the consultant doing the party is hosting a PC party next month. She told me, after we'd all chatted for a while, that she wished she'd met me before she scheduled her show with someone else. I told her that this evening's host knows how to get hold of me if she ever needs to find me. (I do my best not to draw customers from other consultants. I'm not a believer in Karma, but I definitely know that "whatever you sow, so shall you reap.)I'll be making calls tomorrow.

  • #667
One contact today became a November kitchen show. One contact became a catalog show. Not bad.

  • #668
Pretty good JAE! I wish I would've had that kind of favor today.

I got ALL answering machines today! I made a ton of calls too. Even my host calls were machines today! The only live people I talked to were concerning my recruits stuff. The rest of the week is crazy so I don't know how I'll do. Most of my contacts will have to come from my shows Thursday and Friday.

  • #669
not too good on the calls yesterday, kept getting machines, but I did sign another recruit!! YAYYY! That was #3 in 7 days!!!
Got to buckle down this evening and do some serious host coaching calls, and try to get the last two shows booked for October!

WOW!! Way to go on recruiting! I wish I could do that! I have about 6 cooking shows this month so I plan on asking everyone!

  • #671
Okay, made some contacts but nothing set in stone....yet!

Called 3 potential bookings. Two want to do October (no dates yet though) and one wants Nov. (no date yet though).

Called a host that was doing a catalog show last month and still hasn't given it to me yet. We'll try to close it by the end of the weekend.

Handed out a catalog at the Hand therepy place when I went to pick up a customer exchange (whole other story).

Talked with another Sept. catty host who only has 2 orders so far b/c someone at her work sells it already and just had a show.

  • #672
Made my calls today. I'll be dropping off three catalogs with order forms tomorrow. Yippee!

That's amazing! Great job. What are you doing? I'm hoping to get some recruit leads as I do my shows in September. I only had two actual cooking shows in August. I have at least 5 in September. I know that will help immensley. Share your tips.

  • #674
Hi everyone! I'm in my 4th month and have gotten a ton of great ideas, recipes, flyers, support, etc....... from CF. Thank you everyone.
An idea to add to your 3-2-1 right now is calling schools and churches to set up a booth at their fall festivals. I scheduled 5 so far yesterday and today, and am waiting on 3 people to call me back. And those are 4 Elementary Schools and 1 Church!!! (And they're great to work with because it's a fundraiser for their school/church).

  • #675
Thanks for the tip! I might be doing a fundraiser for my church next month. I'm still waiting for the board to approve it. We don't have a lot of schools that do fall festivals around here. It's always good to drop off recipes (and catalogs) to the teacher's lounges though.

  • #676
I spoke with my Sunday host today, got 2 RSVPs for tomorrow's Mystery Host by calling people I hadn't heard from that I had expected to, and have my house 1/2 way ready for my Mystery Host tomorrow night! Tomorrow I will have my Mystery Host from 6-9pm and plan on sending out my newsletter when I get home from work at noon so I can "remind" people without sending another email strictly about the event.

  • #677
Good luck tomorrow Alison! I will be doing my first cooking show of the month tomorrow also. We'll have to both come on and post how we did when we're done! My show is for my PL lady. I hosted a show for her and at the end casually asked her if she had a PC lady. She replied, "Well, not one that I'm loyal to. But I would like to schedule a party with you." That was great! Hopefully her show will be good. When I talked to her today, she only had about 5 coming but was still making calls. We shall see.....

  • #678
We can do it Ellen! Let's rock our fall! I have the goal to hit at least $2500 in sales this month, I have $600 submitted already and counting tomorrow 5 more shows this month and a possible catalog show... so I'm hoping to add 2 more ribbons that I don't have to my wall (I've told my director I want to have 1 of each ribbon by the end of the year... I need the $2500 and $4000 level ribbons and the 2,3 and 4 thousand dollar month ribbons).

I'm looking forward to hearing how your show goes tomorrow! People are loving the new stuff, especially the cookbook with the guest special this month! Good luck! and way to go everyone else! Everytime I click new posts and see this thread it always reminds me that I need to make my contacts!

What are the ribbons all about? Is that a cluster thing? Congrats on the $600 submitted ALREADY! I haven't done anything yet, but I have 6 cooking and 2 catalog shows plus a catty show that should still go in (hopefully) from last month. I'm really trying to work on bookings for October. So far I only have 1 cooking and 1 catty.

My director gives us ribbons for various sales/personal acheivements (beating self or her, show sales, having a high show/average/month of the cluster, sales levels and month sales)... on some thread a few weeks ago I posted pictures of my office and in one of them you can see my wall of ribbons that surround my college diploma. I gave the 5 ribbons I am missing a place, so now I need to fill them in for my wall to be complete (I am a big collection person, if I start a collection, doggonit, I will finish it :) )

That's funny! Do you have a spot for recruiting ribbons?

  • #682
I need something motivating like that!

  • #683
I'm the main person in my Directors cluster that does all the sales and stuff. I get something from my director at almost every meeting I've ever been to. That keeps me going because I guess (without realizing it before) get competitve when it comes to that stuff.

Okay....we've hi-jacked this thread.

  • #684
I am sorry I haven't posted lately I have been out of commission for the past week... I have a show this Friday.... though........ I haven't made any calls... and it is for the best... since I can't talk rather well right now.. though I really good at grunting at this point in time... and for those of you don't' know what I am talking about I found out that ........I found out last Wednesday after waking up with my left side of my mouth swollen to the size of a grapefruit that I have five abscess teeth after going to the Dentist yesterday. I have to have five teeth pulled in two weeks.. YEAH lovely what a wonderful month to have this happen in.. the month that I have 12 shows booked!!!

  • #685
Leah, we will excuse you from the 3-2-1 stuff just this once! LOL! Actually, you may not be doing the "3" part (for now) but you're on a roll with the "2" part!!! How's the "1" part going? Didn't you say you recruited recently???

  • #686
Ouch Leah!

My calls yesterday were kind of sad. I tried to some major host coaching, only could reach 2 of my hosts. but 1 is interested in the biz! YAYYY! Still struggling to get 2 more shows lined up for October. But I spent the better part of my calling time working with my team and setting up new consultant training and coaching calls with them. So hopefully that will pay off in the big picture of things. Have a few new leads to follow up on today, so keeping my fingers crossed that those pan out and that while I'm out & about today I run into a few more..........
Hope you all have a great day!

I have recruited one... but she never did anything with the biz... so I am back to ground zero!!! :( OH well!!!

I've made a few calls, but I've only talked to one person who is not interested in having a show. She is interested in buying at a future show in February. I'll take it. I think I'm calling people who work during the day. I'll have to make some calls tonight.

Hi all! Glad to see you are keeping this going! Life has been crazy with car issues and back to school.
I actually made some good personal connections this week. I went to a meeting for a local networking group and think I am going to join. The response just to me being there was very positive. Not to mention I really enjoyed being arround the other business people. Really put me on top of my game!

  • #690
I have had no luck as far as calls go today but I do have a show tonight. I'll just have to make my contacts there.

  • #691
Well I had nothing to report for a whole week because I did nothing. However, I did get a hold of another inactive recruit who is looking at coming back as a hobbiest so I hope I can help her in that respect to come back :) I won't be able to do calls today but have a school picnic that I hope to make some contacts at so we'll see how the night ends. Back to routine tomorrow and daughter goes back to school for half days on monday so I will be able to do more.

  • #692
I talked with a few people in person today. Great customer connections. The Furry Guy and I are leaving tomorrow morning for a little trip to Cincinnati. I'm taking a few numbers with me so I can contact the people I missed yesterday and today. Other than that, I'll be taking the weekend off.I'll also be away from my computer, so you won't hear from me again until probably Monday morning.Happy weekend!

  • #693
Have a good weekend Rae! We'll miss ya!

I had my Mystery Host tonight, I had 5 people come (1 of whom being my father) and 2 orders before the party, so with 7 orders I am at $336 in sales right now! Not too bad! My goal is $400-$500, as it turns out after updating all my contact information for people, they still aren't getting the email, so I'm gonna spend some time this weekend making lists of 9 in my outlook account (which I just got through school, so couldn't use it before), so hopefully that will work! It was a fun night though and my house did get pretty clean (I got everything done but mopping the kitchen floor, but it was vacuumed and swiffered, so at least it was something!).

and Ellen, I don't have any recruiting ribbons, my director has never given me any... hmmm... I totally get into getting the stuff at each meeting too (my cluster claps when someone else is #1 as I was getting it so much! and actually it wasn't as fun for me when nobody was challenging me either!), so I'm really sad that I dont' get to go to meetings for the rest of the year :( With the new class that I had to add for grad school it's during my meeting time, so very sad about that :( However another director invited me to her meetings, as they are Tuesday nights, and I would just be about a 1/2 hour late to that one (get out of class at 7), so I told her if I start slacking I may have to come.

  • #694
That's great on your show Alison!

  • #695
Okay, just got back from the show I did for my PartyLite lady.....

Only one official booking for October and it's a Combo party with the PL lady who hosted. I've never done a combo before so we'll see how it goes....

I asked everyone to become a consultant. No takers. In fact, the PL consultant who was my host was (and I think is) recruiting one of the guests to her! That's fine and everything, but at least wait till the show is over!

Another girl who left early has the box checked for hosting a show so I will follow up with that one tomorrow! Wish me luck! I need some more bookings.

The Show totals are just under $300! I thought they'd be higher but she said there should be a couple outside orders coming in....hopefully.

  • #696
Hey Ellen, both our show totals are about the same... too funny! It sounds like your show was pretty good... 2 bookings (with the girl who left early). No matter what the sales are at this show, think of what the spin-off effect could be from this one show :) Way to go!

  • #697
made some calls last night, was able to book 1 more Oct show.
Did some host coaching, and was able to connect with another potential host/recruit lead but nothing came of it other than building a relationship. I also gave the girl at the drive-thru at McD's my card. She's someone that had been so nice & chatty before that I always kicked myself for not talking to her about the oppportunity, so today when I went thru and saw her I took the leap. Not sure if anything will come of it, but I am determined to break out of my comfort zone and make things happen. Oh, and I totally forgot, I have a catty show going on for Sept that I just got the other day.

  • #698
Okay....just got back from my show!

So far, almost $500 in sales with a couple OOF's coming in. One booking for December, One catty for November. BUT.....I may LOSE them PLUS an October show that I have because I think the host will sign up to do PC!!!

I'd lose the one in October, (even though she booked at a different show) because it's a friend of the hsot and she wants to try to qualify before the 31st. of October for the pan. Nothing set in stone yet but it looks REALLY good. I don't want to get my hopes up, but even if she doesn't sign, I will still have those bookings so either way it's a win-win!

  • #699
BTW, the thing I did different was that I used a door prize slip my Director gave me that had an option, "If your host were to sign up to be a Consultant would you help her out by having a show?" She got a bunch of yes and maybes! Then I heard her talking about the 29 minutes to dinner cookbook....so hopefully she'll sign up before the 17th! (or is it the 15th?)

  • #700
1. I went to McD to follow-up on a potential recruit. Off today. I'll touch base Monday. Heh, tax deducible breakfast when doing my business.2. Met a consultant for another company, invited to my holiday bazaar I'm arranging. She used to be a PC consultant. Has former clients she's going to put me in touch with.3. Got a random call for placing an order. Talked to her about catalog and online e-invites, made that order into a catalog show. (Sad news- Had all her information written down, left on couch with calendar, paper was gone after I left for an errand. We can't find it. My husband actually went through our entire garbage can today (trash day) to search for it. Didn't find. It has to be somewhere! Pray that I find it, or she calls me back after not receiving the packet as I promised. We talked for over 45 minutes!!!
