When I do my demo I hardly sell the items in my demo but the other products that I talk about or show is what is purchased! Which is fine but I am packing alot of products. How many of you prep all ingredients before the show and have everything clean and just talk about the products? I want...
First, I am really bummed because my show for tomorrow cancelled. I only had two shows booked this month and, as a new consultant, I have already exhausted the friend/family route. The host for tomorrow says she will reschedule. However, I have worked with this person and kind of expected this...
I am wondering what you all do for demo's that have 15 or more guests...I think I may have a few of those this month and I"m at a loss...I'm thinking a one pot dish, but I don't want to do the creamy one pot pasta, what else do you all do?
Hello:
I am working with the owner of a wine store to put together a combination PC demo and wine tasting. I thought of doing a straight demo rather than interactive, having the tastings before, during, and after my demo.
Has anyone done this before? Reflections? Lessons learned? Ideas to...
OK, I'm offering 6 o'clock salad shows in June (mainly) and two of my hosts are vegetarians requesting vegetarian demos. One of them is going to be in a Curves gym.
Any great no-cook vegetarian salad recipes for demo that you'd recommend? I guess worst case scenario is that I make the...
I have a fundraiser on Wed at the American Cancer Society HQ in Atlanta. Last year there was not huge attendance b/c they were in the process of moving. In previous years it has been well attended and, this year they are expecting 25-50. It's a lunchtime show (11:30-1:30). I'll be...
I am hosting a cooking class for the youth of a church. They will be cooking a few different recipes and serving the ladies of the church. Here's the thing what do I have them cook that is easy and not too pricey? Lost for ideas.
Thanks

I was just searching Cooks.com for information on roasting zucchini, and found this recipe... The name is a bit, um, interesting, but it sounds SOOOO good that I had to share it. I wonder if we could use a skillet cake and turn it into a demo...
I've done several vendor/craft fairs and want to try something different.
I want to put out the Food Chopper with the cutting board and the Mandoline with the Batter Bowl--trying to spark up interest for booking June shows!!! What are some ideal food/items to demo with these products? It has...
HWC DemoWhat are y'all doing for your HWC shows?
I'm hosting one on Thursday night and I want to make it fun and informative. I've billed it as a fundraiser so I want it to be different than a regular show.
I called ACS to have a speaker come or to get more info, but no one ever called me...
My host for next week wants to do a grilling theme. I am not a very good 'griller' nor am I comfortable using the grill  What is a good/easy/fool-proof demo recipe for a fairly large crowd? I am hoping that I can get her or her DH to take care of the grill part. We are doing the show...
I am doing the pork show this weekend... for some healthy eating folks. I did a pork in the microwave show last weekend and everyone loved it! But there was some down time while waiting for it to cook and rest. So i thought I would whip together a dessert in front of them. The host is a good...
I have a hostess that doesn't want to do a show in her home but wants to do a show. SO I suggested a show at the park, like a picnic. I know I don't really want to bring a ton of items but as far as a recipe and the demo what kind of ideas do you all have for me?
I was thinking I HAVE to bring...
I heard about this at a meeting, but was unable to ask ayone for details. Apparently, it is a demo that shows MANY products, using one potato, but not making a meal. (Perfect for a demo at a booth!) Does anyone know the details: which products to use, in what order, to get the most use of the...
How many recipes do you normally demo at the party? In my consultant kit there is the mini-muffin pan, 8" saute pan and the large bar pan. Should a recipe be done with all three? Should there be one demo and another recipe already made in something else?
Need some good, easy, recipes for my 1 year anniversary/spring/summer show on March 15th it will be a no demo show so any recipes would do - just a note if it is something to use a spring/summer product let me know because I am inactive right now so I would have to borrow the products.
Perhaps I'm looking right past it, but what is the size of the white logo tablecloth available on supply order?
Have a booth coming up in April, with a 6' x 3' table furnished.
Thanks!
I am hoping you all can help me out. I am going on vacation in 2 weeks and the resort (my dad and stepmoms timeshare)we stay at told me in November I should do a demo while I am down there. Here is the dillemma. I don't know what I should make or bring. There are 7 of us going on this trip...
i just got a call from someone who wants to have a coed shower for about 50 people. i told her i am not a caterer - they are thinking of a backyard bbq but since the bride and groom LOVE to cook - wanted to do something fun and dif't from the usual shower. i was thinking a demo using the bride...
I know I've seen it mentioned on this board, but I can't find it anywhere (and I'm too tired to keep looking...:indif: ) I know you can put an ice cube in the 8 inch excutive saute pan and it melts quickly and shows off some great features... but what do you say about it??
I've got a show...
I just made the Summer Berry Shortcakes. My two boys, my dh, and I really liked them. I didn't have a lemon so I used a clementine. The crescents were a little under done, so next time I'd make sure they look over done because they looked golden brown after baking for the maximum time on the...
Cooking Shows in Action DVDOkay... so I'm halfway through Jillian and she covers a TON of product in her demo! I don't even cover half of that!!!!! OMG!!!!
Okay... time to revamp the demo here!!!!
Question for you all... I just got the new consultant tote and plan on breaking that puppy...
I have a host that has requested a two dessert, be quick. The guests have been to PC shows before. Estimate of 10 guests.
I was thinking of Death by Chocolate Trifle and Cheesecake. Show the two desserts and finish (food chopper to chop candy bar for trifle, and can opener to open a can...
My host has just called to tell me that my show time cannot exceed an hour and a half, that includes clearing up time and getting everyone out - the hall has been double booked. I can get in to set up before hand though. How on earth am I going to demo, take orders, take bookings etc and clear...
Loesterin?Is anyone on this?
I have been on since June...it is pretty expensive for my family, so I decided to go off this month...so I took my last pill and have been waiting for my period and...NO PERIOD yet...I would be starting my new pack today had I called in for a refill...I'm starting...
Has anyone demoed the Power Cooking recipes at a show yet? I am trying to figure out if I should demo chopping the onion and cooking the hamburger. Is that what you all are doing? Or, are you cooking the onion and hamburger before guests arrive? That's half the demo isn't it?
Okay... so I'm throwing myself into the deep end of the pool! Tomorrow night I am doing a Power Cooking Show (not the new one introduced... one that I've been doing for a while). I skipped a meeting tonight so I can stay home and get my head into the game. I've decided that this is going to...
I have a show Thursday night - in a kosher home.
She has asked that I not COOK anything in her stove/oven/micro using tools that have ever been used b4.
Thankfully I have one extra brand new DCB...so I suggested she p/u a kosher chicken and I can make that...and carve it using her own...
