Is anyone else disappointed that the 2014 calendars only have sweet recipes? The calendar looks lovely, but I wish they had a mix of recipes like they have in previous ones instead of just dessert type recipes.
I have always had a calendar hanging at my desk at work and many of my co-workers...
I got the Dutch Oven RockCrok and received it yesterday. I am anxious to try out some recipes that aren't in the ones they sent with the rockcrok. Does anyone have any ideas?
Not too long ago, I came across a very nice chart with cooking times for the Deep Covered Baker. Can't remember if I got it here or on the PC website. I have the pamphlet and several collections of recipes but the chart was really neat. With instructions and temperatures and cooking times for...
Yogurt Cooking Tips
• Because of the acid content of yogurt, it makes a fabulous marinade to tenderize meats.
• Baking soda needs an acidic counterpart to produce a leavening effect. Yogurt fits the bill admirably.
• Yogurt can be used to thicken sauces much like heavy cream, but you will...
Hey everyone,
I am very new to Pampered Chef and am trying to get my Host Packets together for Cooking Shows and Catalog Shows. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how they put together their host packets (ie: what to include, what do you put it in, etc.) for cooking shows and catalog...

Gingerroot has a paper-thin, tan-colored skin that should be removed before use. Store gingerroot in a resealable plastic food storage bag in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or in the freezer for up to 6 months. To use frozen gingerroot...
I am doing a cooking show with a fairly small microwave this weekend. I've been poking around and just can't come up with anything. I know the stoneware can go in the microwave, but can't find a recipe that isn't for the oven. :yuck:
Help? :blushing:
I became a consultant last week. My first cooking show is this weekend. I have yet to make any sales (I have one cooking show on the calendar and a catalog show for a friend so here's hoping). I'm also trying to get some Christmas orders in this week.
I was thinking of the tomato basil...
Hi!
I thought I saw instructions somewhere on cooking chicken breasts in the microwave using the deep covered baker, but I can't find it. I need to know times for boneless and bone-in breasts for my mom, who has the deep covered baker and the round covered baker. She and my dad are trying to...
What's your favorite cookware demo to do at your parties? After 6 years in the business I'm looking to expand. I've always focused on the DCB and other products but not much on the cookware because I didn't want to carry it with me.
I am doing a cooking demo/interactive cooking workshop for Girl scouts. Would love in put on best things to make using kid friendly items. Was thinking individual pizzas but would love input into any ideas. The show will be oct. 14. Never done kids cooking papered chef so kind of nervous to keep...
Hey Y'all .. I need help! I have a friend that lives across the country from me that wants me to give her information about Fundraisers so she can bring it before her PTA ... I have no idea what to send her and was wondering if anyone has done a fundraiser like this before?? Everything I find is...
I just signed up to be a PC consultant and received my kit on Friday! I have my first party coming up in a week and just trying to figure out a recipe to do. It's going to be at 5:30pm during the week so I guess it could go either way with either appetizers or a dinner recipe. I bought the...
I have my first cooking shows booked in August. I have given my host all their information, and am really excited! The one thing that I'm not sure about is what format I should use. Should I just do a demo, or have all the guest prepare the recipe? What has worked best for you as far as guest...
I have been filling up my August Calendar with Back To School Power Cooking Shows. I present the idea to hosts as I am calling them about getting their party booked on the calendar, and they are EXCITED to have something different, valuable, and practical to share with guests. I have also been...
Have a host asking about this...I don't have this. How well does it work in other bowls? How well does it work period, since the cold is only on the bottom?
Thanks!
I have a potential recruit that may be interested, but her concern is that she "doesn't think she can cook in someone else's kichen". Have any of you had this objection before? (personally or with a recruit) How would you respond?
I have my first show with an Amish host. She's young, newly married and the other guests will be young and some unmarried, some also newly married. I'm trying to decide what recipe options to give her. I told her I'd mail off her host packet today and that it would include a recipe list. Can...
Hello All! I am manning my first booth this weekend. I am planning on doing a drawing, but am unsure as to what I should give away. I've seen others suggest giving away a free cooking show (where everyone wins), which I think is a great idea, but I have a question; do you post what the prize...
I am considering starting a Cooking Club or Host Of The Month Club, whatever you would like to call it, and have a few questions. For those of you who have experience with the Cooking Clubs what, in your opinion, is the better way to do it? I've seen it done two different ways, one where every...
Ok all I've got a repeat hostess who's done great shows for me in the past and frankly I've not done a cooking show for a large crowd and she's expecting a large crowd right after work on FRIDAY, this Friday....and the only thing she's told me for sure is she wants a Sponge(ish) type cake for...
I am looking for the cooking show tally that used to be on CC in the downloads....any ideas? We used to be able to buy them on the supply list, and then it got put into the downloads, and now I can't find it at all. I was hoping to find it here, and there are a few under the files, but not...
Hey Everyone!
I registered to have a booth at a farmer's market and they requested that I have a 30 minute cooking show on stage. I'm a ham - so I'm not too concerned about the presenting on stage - however, I am having trouble thinking of recipes that I can showcase the products at the...
I just booked a show with a cooking club and am wondering if anyone else has experience with this? I would think that a more complex recipe would be best instead of the standard dinner in 30 minutes show? Any tips?
