Praying for My Mom: Knee Surgery & Aneurysm

In summary, my mother had knee surgery and her recovery was going well until yesterday when she developed intense pain. Her doctor sent her to a hospital to see a vascular specialist and her tests didn't come back too great. They found an aneurysm and are bringing her back into surgery to relieve all of the pressure in her knee. She is only 53 and is very active, so I just pray that she will be okay. Thanks for listening.

Thanks again everyone....here's an update...Soon after I got back to the hospital, they discharged her! GRRR!! No tests, no specialists... So, we drove all the way back to her house (1 hour) to pack up, board our dog again (for yet another week....I just had gotten him out the day before!) ....and we headed to another hospital about 2 hours away. My uncle is a doctor there, and he got us right in for the tests that we needed and the specialists actually came to her and they actually consulted with each other....imagine that! Of course the test showed exactly what she has been suggesting....a pseudo-aneurysm, that is causing the bleeding in her leg. So, she had a huge 4th surgery yesterday, and thank god everything went well. Ortho was coming to see her today, and maybe tap her knee to drain the fluid that had already leaked. Then hopefully we are on a real road to recovery.... I am just got in to town/work now, and will stay here until this weekend then I will head back to see her/stay with my uncle during the nights. They are expecting another 6 weeks of recovery (ugh....this has already been going on for over 4 weeks....) but we are finally satisfied with the care/physicians. It is really sad that it takes "who you know" to get what you NEED!
