For the two that I've been chosen for I was notified about 2 to 3 weeks in advance.

Re: Houseparty.comYou already got it?? For the Leverage party? Mine isn't here yet. I think it's supposed to come tomorrow. Too bad no real products in it but the game sounds like it will be fun. If I can just get my friends to participate in it!

Re: Houseparty.comI had my Cream Cheese party on Saturday and it was great!! I made Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecake, Oreo Balls and Farmhouse Chicken Dinner. It all went over great. It was my first cheesecake and although it could of stood some more bake time, it was really good!! I can't wait to try another one. There were so many good recipes in the tin that I feel I have to try them all! LOL

Re: Houseparty.comI received my Scene it yesterday also. I am a little tired because DH and I were up playing it. I whipped his butt! I also played it on XBox live. That was a trip. I have finally found something that I really like with XBox.

DH went on line last night to look at the other games you can get, because he is not a big movie trivia person. He likes the idea of the sports, music and tv. We will see what he get's for Christmas. ;)

Ya, it said on the email that 10 of each would be shipped. I'm actaully happier with the package than I expected. When I saw 10 Leverage party bags, or however it was described, I was thinking hokey lil plastic gift bags. The bags that came are pretty nice!
I'm kind of confused on the game though. Just glanced over it, I'll have to delve into it a bit more.

Re: Houseparty.comOk, what's the trick to getting picked. I've applied for 2 or 3 and have yet to be picked. Suggestions?

  • #78
Re: Houseparty.comI don't think there is a "trick". I've applied for probably 8, at least, and have only been picked for 2.
I say just keep on filling out the surveys honestly and eventually they will think you are a good match for what they are looking for.
Of course, as more people hear about the site the less likely (I would think, anyway) an individual will be picked. Just be patient. :)

Do you have a recipe for Oreo balls?

1 pkg Oreos
1 8oz pkg cream cheese
1 pkg Almond Bark-chocolate or vanilla

Crush all but 7 Oreos (I use a food processor), add cream cheese, chill for about 1 hour. Melt almond bark once the hour is up then take small scoop and roll oreo mixture into balls. Then roll in almond bark and set on parchment paper to harden. I usually do both chocolate and vanilla and then I drizzle opposite flavor over top. They are a huge hit with everyone!! I tried to upload a picture but it couldn't resize it. Good luck!

Good & bad... a BUNCH of people flaked so it ended up being just me and 4 of my guy friends. They LOVED the bags and pens though! and they LOVED the show!!
I didn't even try the game. I'm going to girls night in a couple weeks so I think I might try the game with the girls and have them watch it too.

I'm kind of excited about Leverage starting, I liked it.

When you go to the site it shows on the left side what shows are coming up and/or available to register for. Right now it shows Clairol and Ziploc and beneath both it says learn more. When the time comes that "learn more" will change to apply now, or something like that. Hope that makes since. There aren't any parties to sign up for right now.
