Long Night in Hospital -Advice Needed!

In summary, the woman had 25 contractions yesterday, lost her mucous plug last night, and continued to have contractions today. She spent most of the day in the hospital hooked up to monitors and giving urine samples. The hospital told her to take it easy and to drink more water. She is feeling better now and the contractions have slowed down. She has a show on Sunday and six in March. Do you think she should still go and just pack lightly?

Hi Gillian,
After all the great advise and well-wishes there really isn't much more I could add...accept that you will be in my prayers also. It's funny, I was going to email you and ask if you had any extra Fall/Winter catalogs...and then I saw your post. I know you have your recruits, but if there is something I can do to help...I'm just in Willow and come into town all the time.
I hope you get some good rest tonight...
Ember

Hey, Gillian, maybe after all those contractions this baby will want hugs all the time!

Hey Gillian - sorry that I didn't give you my well wishes yet, I am just catching up from a few days. Good luck with everything, and take it easy. Everyone has given great advice, talk with yours hosts... bring a recruit if you can, and offer them a free trifle bowl or something along those lines if they do a few things...like take all of the online trainings, a few tele-classes, and attend 1 show to be your assistant! If a recruit can't help, most hosts would be more than happy to help you carry in/out your products. Also, ask your host for a chair so that you can sit while you do most of your show.

Ditto Jennifer - you have some great advice...my best friend was 7 1/2 mo. pregnant at my wedding, had bad contractions and ended up in the hospital all night and didn't tell me until I got home from my honeymoon!

Keep well hydrated!!!! Drinking water will reduce them and don't overdue it. If you feel them start at all, slow down or STOP what you're doing and relax. The contractions won't hurt your baby but a baby too early wouldn't be good. Take it easy, listen to your body and everything can still be fine.

I always had pretty strong contractions for about a month before my kids were born but the stubborn buggers both still came late! One induced a week after due date (I had gestational diabetes...wanted to be safe)...and the other a few days after my due date but wasn't about to go through pitocin again...he ended up 9 lbs. 6 oz though...

Praying you and baby stay safe...

Thanks Ember- I will keep you in mind just in case! I do have a few catalogs floating around if you need them, but I live on Wasilla-Fishook and won't be in town until 2/28. My parents are building in Willow and my dad goes up every Friday if you ever need anything...

Thanks Jennifer- that is a great idea! Hopefully I will make some commission at my show today so I can afford to give her something for her business as a thanks for helping.

I ventured out today with my kids to the grocery store, so I thought I would be okay. I only got three items at the store, and my son puked twice during the trip (he wasn't sick at all before we left). I don't see how I could ever "take it easy" with small children!!

I had to post my update from today's show-

It was a March kickoff show at my mom's house (her guests, not mine) and she was unsure about attendance. She carried my crate in and I carried my TTA tote and lapboards and laptop. We only had 3 people show up and I did a demo just of the new products. I have done a million shows with this circle and they know about everything else. I stood up the entire time and felt fine. I made a strawberry shortcake trifle and the jerk chicken lettuce bowls and we played Deal or No Deal.

The sales just topped over $400 from 3 buying guests and one outside order!! Oh, and I booked each of them- March 5th, April 15th, and June!!

Thanks ladies! One lady ordered 6 of the small dots round bowls, and she is hosting next Monday. I almost asked her if she wanted to wait, but that is $72 in guest sales that my mom wouldn't have gotten!!

I have never had such an awesome problem before, but now I am worried that I will have more than 3 shows to submit before the mid season incentive kicks in and are therefore kinds "wasted". I don't want to hold shows just for my incentives, but my latest show this month is on the 16th, and the next after than is April 15th. I want those mid-season products!!

You can't win, Gillian any way you look at it. But on the good side you were able to do a show yesterday, you got more bookings and just maybe some of these upcoming shows will get you the dates you need to try to reach the goal to earn mid season products.
