I, too, appear to have an OS problem. I also have a nowhere-to-put-anything problem. I am currently bartering to get the office ("yes, buy the expensive tv and put it downstairs in the man cave - just give me full control of the office"). At the moment, I have Staples and WalMart bags scattered across my house. It looks like a back to school sale gone bad!cathyskitchen said:Crap, now I need a pint of B&J's!! Off to Wawa!
Oh, and I love Office Supplies, too. We'd have fun shopping, Dena. I like to shop and spend money on things that look like I need them, but in reality, just take up space and look cute on my desk!
Welcome and best wishes to you!!

Dena,Sarcasm is revered here! You will continue to find that we are a fun-loving, closely knit group from all corners of the world......and we love to have fun - including the use of some well placed sarcasm........I can't remember anything in any of your posts that would be considered remotely offensive - so you're good! And did I mention that we are all about having FUN?Denarella said:I bought a few things that wont come in the kit. Just a FEWWWWW...Just a couple sheets of paper. Dont even know if she got my email about the quick starter kit. Certainly nothing thats going to tide me over, I'll tell you that! Ladies, I certainly hope I didn't say anything to offend ANYONE on here yesterday. I was completely kidding around and if I took it too far, I apologize. I'm certainly not like that and I would NEVER intentionally hurt ANYONE's feelings. Im not sure I can even do that if I want to because I'm not a confrontation kind of Gal! You've really helped me out tremendously the last few days I will be forever grateful for that. I will tone down my sarcasm and downshift to "witty"!
I can't even think of anything that would have offended. Don't worry about it! You were/are fine!Denarella said:I bought a few things that wont come in the kit. Just a FEWWWWW...

Good grief! I didn't realize you were picking on me. How dense am I? I was worried that I offended you with my "dumb" comment (see post 122).Denarella said:Secondly, I felt HORRIBLE when I went to the party because I felt I was alittle to touchy with Ann. Ann, Im sorry if that's how it looked or sounded. I was SOOOOO joking around but I couldnt shake that feeling last night that I took it too far. I'm done on that!

Ok so I am Oscar Woodbury
Hmmm sounds more like a drag queen... LOL
ChefBeckyD said:Yeah - if I went by my first pet's name, mine would be Duke First.....so I choose to use my second pet's name......Trinket First sounds soooooo much more stripperish to me!
katie0128 said:You can order anything you want from anywhere you want... as long as you don't give anyone else PC's logo or tag line to use on the products. So, you can order business cards (or labels, stamps, letterhead, etc.) from Vista and use PC's name ONLY (provided you use the ® with the name). However, You CAN NOT use "discover the chef in you" or have them print the cards with the logo. Only authorized vendors can print materials with the logo and tag line. If you search in files, there should be examples of business cards that people have done not using an authorized vendor.

Actually most of the forum members here figure people are joking. You have to hit us over the head before we notice that maybe someone is serious and not joking when they are picking on us.

chefann said:uh-oh. What did you buy, missy?
chefann said:I do. Usually. I recently had several shows in a circle of people who were, um... financially strapped. I didn't take it to those shows because I didn't want to look like I was gloating that I had a laptop and they didn't; and there were few enough orders that it was not a big deal to compute them with my handy calculator.
(If you search on "potty", you'll find the continuing saga of these shows. The first one was June 18...)

I think that happens because when you goof up, you're more relatable to the crowd. Think about the slick used-car salesperson. They've got their patter down, and are ready with a quick answer to anything. And you're not likely to want to buy anything from them. But by showing that you're just like the customers at a show, they can relate, and they feel good about buying from you.Dawn4 said:Funny thing is for me... it seems that I worse I think I've done at a show, the better my sales are.

It can be a good idea for new consultants to use supplies from Ebay, as long as they are purchasing from reputable sellers and the items are in good condition. This can be a cost-effective way to acquire supplies for your business. However, it is important to make sure that the supplies you purchase are in line with the quality and branding of Pampered Chef products.
Some consultants may recommend using supplies from Ebay, as it can be a budget-friendly option. However, others may suggest purchasing directly from Pampered Chef to ensure the quality and consistency of your supplies. Ultimately, it is up to personal preference and what works best for your business.
As a new consultant, it is important to prioritize purchasing supplies that will help you showcase and demonstrate Pampered Chef products at your shows. This may include order forms, invitations, business cards, and other marketing materials. Additionally, investing in a few cookbooks can also be beneficial for showcasing recipes and product uses to potential customers.
Aside from purchasing supplies from Ebay, you can also consider hosting virtual parties or partnering with other consultants to split the cost of supplies. Utilizing social media and other free marketing platforms can also help save on advertising costs. Additionally, setting a budget and sticking to it can help you make smart purchasing decisions and avoid overspending.
Don't be afraid to reach out to more experienced consultants for advice and tips on how to save money while building your business. Also, consider taking advantage of any promotions or discounts offered by Pampered Chef. Lastly, remember to prioritize your purchases and only invest in supplies that will truly benefit your business and help you achieve your goals.
