I have been getting some reeeeally sharp pains in my right side. I have been getting them for the last couple weeks. Tonight has been the worse I have felt with it. I am wondering now if I might have the beginnings of appendicites..... is there anyone out there who has had this and what have they experienced?
I haven't felt sick, or no fever, as I hear are some of the symptoms... but the pain tonight is not good
I am on two minds to go over to Emergency.. just the thoughts of sitting for hours there makes me cringe....

If it is low in your ribs it is probably your kidneys. I get pains in my kidneys when I have a bladder infection, as it travels up to the kidneys. I never have symptoms of a bladder infection (or urinary tract infection) until my kidneys hurt. Drink some cranberry juice and make a doc's appoinment stat!!

It sounds like it could be kidney stones. Unfortunately you can't do anything but pass the stones and take some pain meds but if it keeps bothering you I would go to the doctor especially since it is on your right side. Better safe than sorry!

It could also be gallbladder stones, the pain can come and go and be very intense at times. I had to have my gallbladder taken out in January.

It could also be a cyst (I've had lots of those and lots of kidney stones, sometimes it's hard to tell the difference). I think your best bet would be to go to the hospital and make sure they do a CT of your abdomen. That would rule out a LOT of things, so would some bloodwork. Better to sit for a few hours in the ER than rupture your appendix if that's what it turns out to be.

((((HUGS))))

Possible Appendicitis?Sounds Crazy But, lay flat on your bed, the floor, whatever, and have your significant hit the bottom of your foot (heel). If it sends PAINS & you screamin GET TO THE ER. They did this with my daughter at the dr.'s office she was to young for a (rectal exam eek). Good luck

Could be liver, too. I get really bad pains on my right side when my liver acts up. Although it's usually due to a fatty liver (extra weight and cholesterol), they discovered I had sarcoidosis, which can affect several systems in the body. I guess my best advice is...never mess with excessive pain...it's your body telling you something is wrong. Get it checked out by a doctor.

I would go to the dr I had my appenix rupture and I was in the hospital for 1 week not fun at all

Do you notice it happening after you eat something with a lot of fat in it? If so it may be gallstones. I had my gallbladder removed as well (3 years ago) but the pain of the attacks was awful.

Final ResultWell I just got home after spending two days and nights at the hosptial. Looks as if I had a ruptured ovarian cyst. They wanted to keep me in for observations. I had bloodwork, x-rays, urine work, ultrasounds, you name it. Seems this is what was causing my pain. I have to go see a specialist now and see if it is something I should get removed or if there is some drug out there that will shrink the little buggers and make the pain go away.

I had never been admitted to the hosptial before and I hope its a long long long time before I ever have to again
BUT on a happier news, I got a phone call from my host from my Tuesday night show.. we plan to close her show next Tuesday night.. Looks like I might be VERY VERY close if not the real deal to my first $1000 show!!! I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooo excited!!! I also had two women call looking to order something on the next catalog order I plan to put in; which will be the 1st of Dec!! woo hooo!!

Well I"m off to get some lunch.. some REAL food not that hosptial crap that is a poor excuse for food. HEy if anyone out there is looking to lose weight, just get admitted to the hospital for a few days... it will work like a charm.. I lived on tea for the last few days... they haven't been able to screw that up!! LOL

Cheers!

Thanks for the update Aggi. Ugh on the 2 days in the hospital. May they find a non-surgery alternative and you get better soon.

Cool on the $1000 show - may it hit the mark. And cool on having a few orders to pop on a december show.

Ouch, when I was in HS I had a cyst, for the first day my parents didn't believe I was in so much pain, I guess they thought I was overreacting, but that night they finally took me to the ER and I had to go get a sonogram on it I think it was on a Friday night when I went in so I had to get the sonogram on Monday since we live in podunkville and I had gotten some good meds and by the time Monday came around it had taken care of itself. Hopefully yours will too.

I picked up my meds and use them when I feel the pain intensifying. I have to get another ultrasound done in a few weeks to see if anything has changed with the cyst. Who knew something like this could hurt soooo bad!! ug!!
