The idea came from a Creative Memories forum, where other consultants had mentioned adding spice samples to their gift bowls at shows.
I bought them from Hobby Lobby for $1.99 for a pack of 100.
I made my own labels with tips on how to use each seasoning. This way, guests can have a better understanding of what they are trying and how to use it.
I used extra seasonings that I had on hand to keep the cost low. I also chose popular and versatile seasonings to appeal to a wide range of tastes.
I believe that the "try it before you buy it" concept is appealing to many people. This gives guests the opportunity to sample different seasonings and potentially discover new favorites. It also adds a unique and thoughtful touch to my gift bowl at shows.
