By the way Ellen, Just how long did you spend on here yesterday? Because I went crazy just before conference because I wanted to go as a stripper and then we didn't even get our ribbons!!! :grumpy: :cry: ..... I worked like crazy for it while trying to get ready for conference... which includes getting me ready and getting my house ready.... making food for the family and making sure dishes and laundry were done. I'm not sure how long I spent. Too long if you combined all the time. I folded laundry, made a post. Packed some clothes, made a post. Kissed my kids goodnight, made a post. Etc, made a post. You know! Now if I could only be that focused making my 3-2-1 calls!!!

Yes, I was just being silly. Ellen got hers at 1:00 a.m. her time which was 3:00 a.m. my time. Yours shows as 8:30 for me. But congratulations - I have a long way to go to get there for me so a silly post may come across now and then to just get closer - right?

To be honest - it is fun to joke about getting the stripper star and other colors but I am thinking it is about time to get grounded. I picture me talking to my inner child and saying "You are grounded from Chef Success." "No more until your calendar is full, organization is done, and other things that are on your to do list" "Now don't argue with me you can't do it anymore!"

My power went out Friday evening in a bad storm (there were tornadoes in the area), and I asked DH: No TV and no internet! What are we supposed to do?

You know I thought about that the other day when our Satellite signal went out... what am I supposed to do with out the tv?? I coudln't imagine life without the internet or tv... and that's sad.

Had it been in the middle of the day - no problem. There would have been light to do things, but even with candles lit, there wasn't really enough light to bead or to read. (hey - that rhymes!)

We don't have much in the way of light when our power goes out... usually candles... We have a couple flash lights that we use to get to different rooms so we don't carry the candles. But now with having the little one I keep telling my DH we need to get something else. I don't really want lit candles all around with her runnin around.

our power went out friday afternoon at 430 and it was still 100 degrees outside!! it didn't come back on until 930 or so. which we went out to eat but the house still felt real good to come back to. not to mention the dog and cat. the poor things!

Last time this happened I pulled out the flashlight, removed part of my laptop's case, and cleaned out cat hair and dust - I had no clue what to do without a computer and TV, my poor husband.

BTW, I LOVE your Boxer. I have two here at home. A (almost) 3 year old male and an (almost) 6 month old female. They are named "Lilo and Stitch". When we got our female, I literally send out an e-mail poll to everyone we knew so they could vote on her name. We liked Daisy, Lilo and Sookie(from Gilmore Girls). 90% voted for Lilo because we already had Stitch.

BTW, I LOVE your Boxer. I have two here at home. A (almost) 3 year old male and an (almost) 6 month old female. They are named "Lilo and Stitch". She is our oldest dd almost 8. She doesn't know she's a dog. Oh, and she still thinks she is only like 6lbs (about 63). I think we will always have Boxer's.
