Chris and I just started chatting and it all the sudden grew. I surely would have never guessed that I would have gotten to over 900.
I read all that...................................... I'm glad we are all getting our numbers up.

I think I saw one similar where they had to say several of the items in the box or it was gone. I would have hard time with it but would know it would be good for me.
I need to have someone with me going you don't need that what are you going to do with that. I did that for my mom and it really helped her.

My neighbor offered, but I don't want her to see my basement. My mom could help me or my sister.

I had a personal coach tell me one time to remove everything from my room, clean the room, and then before anything came back in it would have to be sorted (filed, thrown away, delegated, or put in a to do file). Well, I started it and then well,,, let's just say that other room is a mess and now this room is back to where I started!!

I am ashamed and really need to get it caught up and not let it happen again.

  • #2,955
I think if I could really get in and go through things I could get rid of 75% off the stuff in our crawl space.

I have a friend who offered and my mom and they have both seen it - it is just a matter of my heart being able to take it when they say - You need to throw this.

That's what would happen to me. Actually I have rooms like that right now.

Honestly, I think I could do it myself... IF, I could take a few days off from work and just concentrate on organizing it and no distractions while I got it done.

  • #2,959
We have a small house. My dh says our house is too small to on this small space.

That's what I have to have. DH get's in my way. I just can't do it when he is around. I think it's because he is so negative about it. I want him to be impressed, but a lot of the time he doesn't notice.

:grumpy:  :grumpy: That just makes me angry.

  • #2,962
I like it when he pops in during the day except when I'm trying to really get something done he will notice. I just can't work with him around.

  • #2,963
I'm tired of him asking what are we going to do with all this stuff.

  • #2,964
He would have empty rooms if he had his choice.

  • #2,965
He tells me I'm a chat junkie.

My little on just got up about 7:30pm. She will not be going to bed anytime soon.

I would love help but sometimes it just takes longer saying No, I need to keep this because.... (whatever it is)

I am really to the point I probably could just throw a ton of papers away other than the fact that some of them are things I need to keep for taxes or I printed for host packets that I could file was I remember which stack it went in.

  • #2,968
Daddy is going to fix the girls something to eat. It's really late for us. Today has just not been the norm.

Yes, it is nice when someone notices. I only have my son with me & children don't always notice.

  • #2,970
I'm getting tired of some of the clutter, and I have been getting rid of things. We are getting rid of our double stroller, some of the bigger stuff.

  • #2,971
I think I have gotten a lot done but then my mom or friend will come in and I realize what was a lot to me - they have no idea becuase they had not seen it in a while.

I think dh is like a child he doesn't notice, or he doesn't say anything, despite me telling him I need him to notice.

I understand that. My sister came up to visit and she just said it looks like you need help.

Actually my friend is coming next weekend becuase her daughter has a softball tournament and they want to stay the weekend here. She said we will be going through my closet and anything that doesn't fit will be removed from the closet. Either get rid of or put some where else.

She was here last weekend so I am hoping she will notice that I got a little done. I am planning on spending a half hour to an hour each night and hopefully it will be a lot by the time they get here.

Just make sure to hide anything you don't want her to try to make you get rid of.

I need to get the cloths that don't fit out of my closet, it's hard to get rid of them. I have some I really don't wear, but they fit.

  • #2,978
I don't go in my closet anymore than I have to.

My DS used to do that - if he napped past 5:30 then no sleeping for me before 1:00 a.m.. A couple times it was either no nap (if I could help it) on certain days where his routine was messed with or I would have to wake him up by 5:30 so that hopefully we could get to bed at a decent time.

I need a couple of days with dh and dd's gone to take it all out and sort through it. I can't get it done in a couple of hours.

She really needed the sleep, or I would never have let her sleep that long. She has always been bad about sleep. Once you got her down she would sleep. It could take hours to get her to sleep even if she was tired. My mom said she has never seen a child fight sleep like that little one.

LOL - I hear you on that one.

One year for Christmas she gave me a new red sweater to get rid of one I had - funny thing is I didn't want to get rid of the one I had. Both she and my mom made that comment "now you can get rid of that other red one".

It took me a long time but I finally did.

We don't take naps now so she will go to bed at night, even if she really does need the nap.

There are just some cloths that are hard to part with. I have a couple of things that are so worn out I need to trash them, but they are comfy.

My son was real bad about sleeping in the car. He did NOT do it so if I had to take a trip to Denver Childrens for his check up - I had to time it so we didn't drive through too much of his sleeping time. If he did fall asleep it was for a very short time and then wake up crying because he wasn't fully rested.

He never really cared for naps.

I need to get our computer/exercise/playroom more organized. Now that the girls have their own room a lot of the toys will go there or out the door.

She will sleep in the car, but it takes her awhile to get there. She would act like we did when we had to stay up to study. The head would drop and the eye would widen.

She was our spa baby, we would have to rub her back, feet head to get her to sleep, sometimes her palm. Then we would have to lay with her until she fell asleep. We just got her to go to sleep by herself. She just has to be that tired for it work.

I am visualizing that - can remember seeing it happen. The break neck feeling of our head not wanting to stay up.

We didn't get any evening down time until I don't think it's been a month, may a little more. It's so nice to get to talk to dh.

I have my computer/office in the master bedroom with me. It sounded good at the time but now it is horrifying. I have thought about taking before and after photos. We do have a spare room and am thinking need all this stuff out of here and put in that room. It won't be easy though because

That is the room that all the stuff got stacked in so I need to remove it so I can organize both rooms at once. I just look at it and think I need to start somewhere. Ugghhh

The before and after pics can be great. I did that with most of the work on our house. It looks so much nicer now that we've made just a couple of changes.

  • #2,997
I don't think I could do that with my bedroom. I don't want to remember what it looks like right now.

You may have inspired me, even though I don't want to look back at what it looks like it would be nice to remember the change.
