ok, I am here to check in before the fair. I got over $100 in sales, and 1 maybe for a show who was also a little interested in the opportunity. It was very slow- saw maybe 8 people. Today will be a zoo to make up for it. It got really hot weather wise. The baby didn't sleep- either heat (which he doesn't like) or teeth (or both). I am ok right now, but it better be really busy to keep me awake. Wish me 10 bookings today. I am off shift at 3pm.
When I come back, what colour will you all be???????

I like to scrap book but I don't do it as often as I would like too.

My hubby got very vage(sp) answers.... snacks, magazines, hygiene products....

When my brother was in Iraq he loved getting hommade cookies...but he also knew who they were coming from. I also sent him OK! weekly and they loved it over there. who woulda thought it.

but honestly he said that they love a letter and anything we send them.

IS THERE A LIST OF RULES OF WHAT NOT TO SEND OR HOW TO PACKAGE IT.... WHO TO SEND IT TO ETC?

If they are in an arab area you can not send any pork products. I think if you Google marine moms there is a website. on there it will give you a list of what you can and can not send. it does change every once in a while.

Closer to the holidays (thanksgiving and christmas) I will send baked goods.. by then it should be cool enough (I hope) that they won't melt in to blobs before they get there.

If you make cookies do not food saver then I did this and they all crushed together...luckily I was going to need two bags each for the two box's i was putting together..,...the one brother that is stateside got the crushed cookies :blushing: just put the cookies in a glade or ziplock container...my mom does that and the boys say they still turn out fine.

What I have so far is beef jerky and some of those powdered drink things for bottled water. I think that those are awesome ideas....just make sure that the beef jerky does not have any pork in it...on one site that i read it said that some of it does.

Sorry things were a little slow for you at the start of the fair... but like you said things will pick up today, I am sure! I am so sorry that Martin isn't feeling well (thats his name isn't it?)...
