I've been trying to do that, but I have so many numbers on the page and I don't think I can find it under all the junk on my desk. I have at least 3 start points for catching up. I like to chat when I can, so I don't always get to do the catch up. :blushing:pcchris said:I have to write down which page I'm leaving on so I know where to start again...pretty bad.

We (my grandmother and I)talked just the other day on the way back from the doctors and she was telling me how scared she is. I never really sat back and thought about it. She is diabetic and was just diagnosed with Alzheimers a couple of months ago. I always make light of the situation with her and help her see the brighter side of things but when she made me look at things through her eyes... I found myself with a huge lump in my throat. Once again I am just dumping more bottled feelings... She has been having trouble with chest pains and shortness of breath and had to see a cardiologist, they mentioned that they may have to put a pace maker in and after being faced with Alzheimers and now this she is petrified and I think slowly I feel myself struggling with positivity... As she put it, how do you make positive of such a situation when you are 84 years old and have no idea if you are ging to wake up the next morning. I understand that, I get it (to a point, I am not in her shoes no matter how much I "think" I understand) We all have those fears and you have no idea when it's your time but at her age it's different. I love her to death, she is a huge part of my life and I am having a terrible time with it. I am even starting to have nightmares. I have been woken up in the middle of the night with her gurgling (we have a baby monitor in her apartment which is above our garage attached to our house) so when we went up to check on her, we couldn't get her to respond (this was also a couple of months ago). When we called the ambulance and they got there her sugars were 24 which is extremely low (normal average is 80-100 ish). They got there and took care of the situation and all but it was such a scare to us that she herself even goes to bed afraid. I am totally venting here and I am completely venting and honestly hope nobody decided to embark on my wonderful journey but sometimes you just have to let it all out and unfortunately for you guys I just chose to let it out here... I am sorry and am not trying to whoa-is-me, I consider myself very fortunate in a lot of ways that I get to care for her. But I am certainly not going to lie it is hard. I have my own physical issues, 2 small children, an 84 year old grandmother, and I have volunteered myself to my pregnant cousin to take her baby when she is born (Nov 30ish)... My goodness! Do I ask for the stress or what?! I guess part of me just can't get enough of helping other people. I ALWAYS put myself last with everything. And it is ok with me, I really don't know that I could have it any other way but I certainly get a lot of slack for it from many different people. I love what I do and am very proud of it but my gosh Ang... Sometimes I wonder... I think sometimes that I ask for the trouble and pain I cause myself. But thank god for you guys, I think that Pampered Chef came into my life at just the right time and thank god everyday for the fact that I have an out. Atleast here, I can take a step out of my reality and be stress less for a few. Many laugh and joke about the fact that I am on here so much and as do I but it really has been theraputic for me in a strange, corrupt sorta way! LOL There, see. I feel better once again. Thanks Chef Success for giving me a place to just be me and make friends that are so supportive in both my personal life and business. I have made a few wonderful friends on here and one inparticular that lives here in Maine with me. I would have never met you all had it not been for the Pampered Chef and Chef Success. Thanks everyone and I hope you skipped right over this one! Ok... I'm done!

missydivine said:WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I want to be just like you when I grow up!
missydivine said:Keep working with them. Are your no's no not ever's, or no not now's? Ya know you should add a line on your dps that asks if your host decided to start her own pc business would you be one of her first hosts? I'm going to be doing this. Then if you have 4 or more people say they would do a show why wouldn't the host want to start. If they didn't maybe one of the other's would. I don't know that it works, but why not try. I tell people that if they don't answer the questions I will assume the answer is yes.

friday said:I just booked not one, not two but THREE fundraisers tonight. One for a local kids music group, one for a large childrens mental health organization, and one for a family in crisis. ALL for OCTOBER. I am going to put together some kind of card or sticker to really promote bookings from catalogue orderers on these to load up my November.
