Hey friday - in all my reading today I noticed how you had alreday told your name and explained where friday came from. Thank you for explaining it all over again just for me. :blushing:

Nothing like a little pressure from a doctor saying to me that Brandon will be as much as I help him to be and I have taken that very seriously from day one. (he isn't allowed to say I can't do XXX - we do it together but he can't just give up). No such thing as "I can't" in my family - even as I grew up.

Thank you, He does more than they ever thought he would. He didn't walk until he was almost 3-1/2 but he didn't. I recall asking the doctors if they ever thought he would walk after we brought him for a check up walking into the office and they said No, we did think he would ever sit up.

I actually know a little bit about kids exceeding expectations. My middle boy was born with some troubles and had a very rough first 5 years. The medical expectations for his development and life were pretty poor. He just keeps doing well. Kids do amazing things.

The baby did NOT have a late afternoon nap today, and he went to sleep with a full tummy about 45 minutes ago. He should be down for the night, and not up until 7 or so. I am keeping my fingers crossed on that one.

  • #10,112
I need to do a quick mop of the floor in the kitchen but other than that my kitchen is pretty good. Ugly, but tidy.

  • #10,113
I just heard a brilliant line I want to share

Don't try to fix me, I'm not broken!

Gosh I need to take that to my PPD support group. I should email it to my shrink for that matter... get it printed on a Tshirt!! Thats the ticket!

What I meant to say is that I was up till 3:30 my time, which was plain silly because the only reason I was up because I am addicted and was on here.

You being up that late was plain out of your control and at least you had us to chat with - at least I hope it helped a little bit.

Yes they do I firmly believe if you set them up to succeed then they will but if you believe they won't then they have a hard time believing it themselves and then they won't succeed.

Ok, off my soap box

I listen to mostly Christian music. Before we were walking with the Lord, we loved Sublime and Eminem.

Christian Version: Supertones and KJ-52. Love that I can still hear the same style with Christian lyrics.

We used to always listen to Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd etc also. In fact, if our daughter would have been a boy, her name would have been "Zepplin Isaiah"
