I feel bad for your sister to live life like that!friday said:Busy house!!
I have one sister- she is 2 years younger. We don't speak. She is a racist and I married outside of my culture, THEN I had the nerve to have a little brown baby.
I have one brother- he is 5 years younger. He is surprisingly normal considering our upbringing. He is a real estate agent and will be selling us our new house- hopefully next summer.

We have a really bad habit of eating out also... thats gotta change!friday said:Tomorrow I need to get the boys bedroom painted- it is going to be a blue gray colour called Faded Denim. It used to be bright nasty red. My oldest boy is going Laser Tagging with the youth group from church. I am taking the youngest boy and the baby for a walk and bridge fries so he doesnt feel too left out- he is not old enough for youth group yet. I also need to make a host package delivery, and put another host package in the mail. That should fill up my day tomorrow. I should get groceries too. We have vowed NO EATING OUT for October. It will be hard for us. We have bad habits but it shows in our budget and our waistlines.
chef_kimmo said:Making calls tomorrow (hopefully a few anyway). Am going to try the mentality of catching people home before they go out for the day. If I wake up late, from being on here getting my start dressed then I will plan to have a booking blitz on Sunday and maybe schedule myself 2 hours to do calls.

LMAO KIM, I think I would almost buy tickets just to watch you attempt this!!chef_kimmo said:I am working through my pile or papers on the dining room table - so filing and organizing will be part of my weekend.
I need to fix a toilet (dropped one of those small bottles (travel size) of hair spray down there, so I need to drain it, pull it off the floor and hope & pray that if I tip it upside down that I can get it to fall out.)
chef_kimmo said:I wouldn't call before 10:00 a.m. our time... so I am thinking that is around 11:00 or noon for you.

Ya for you!!! I wanted to takt the girls to the Granby Zoo this year and didnt make it so I was hoping to do it next year... but we can't afford passports for all of us to go there a few times...:yuck:friday said:My understanding is that you can COME into Canada without a passport- your challenge will be getting BACK into the US. You could always just stay I guess? I wonder if you would qualify for refugee status and benefits if you couldnt get back into the US... that would be sort of funny actually....

friday said:Shoot- ya- I need to get that toilet fixxed. The sooner the better. I have all the gear and it won't take very long- maybe 5 minutes at the MOST. I just keep putting it off. That bathroom hasn't been used in YEARS so it is easy to just not get around to the final step to make it usable again. But with all boys the one bathroom can be rendered absolutely toxic for hours at a time....
You are thinking you are going to pick up and shake a toilet!! Have you gone mad? LMAO!!! This is going to be funny! Take pictures, this I gotta see!chef_kimmo said:Come on over!! I have fixed the toilets before but never hoping to get something out of the drain that couldn't be just pushed down!! :blushing:
It could be quite the site since I am thinking the thing is heavy and will be hard to pick up and shake

It will cost up over $500 for passports and the girls expire in 2 years I think... thats just not worth it, not to mention food, entry to the zoo, etc....friday said:I totally understand. We are going to Chile as a family and aside from the $5000 for the flight for the 5 of us, and the $50 for 3 of 5 of us for the visas, the passports are $100 each. Thankfully my dh's family owns more houses than they have family members so we don't have to do the whole hotel thing. And food there is really really cheap.

friday said:I picked 5 recipes from the 29 minutes for next week. I figure- why not!
I agree about the whole passport with US and Canada border thing being stupid but they are just trying to make the US more secure (ya whatever) I think the girls expire because they grow up and they change physically quickly because they are children.... dumb huh? And no we haven't bought any because we don't do a lot of out of the country travel...canada maybe but soon we will need a stupid passport!friday said:Why do the girls expire in 2 years? Are those ones you already have, or? How many passports does this up over $500 cover? Did you ever think that passports are a huge money grab by the government and now they make them practically manditory to go anywhere?? Who would have thought anyone would need a passport between Canada and the US. Its bizarre.

friday said:You should be able to just reach your hand in there and grab it and haul it out. You might have to get right in to your elbow, but it should be not too far past the first turn and should be reachable.
