Wow, your son was in at two??? how did he do? We had problems with some of the younger 3 year olds. Our church is starting Puggles this year too! It'll be so cute!

He did great! He almost completed the whole book. He actually got further in it than anyone in his class, even the 4 year olds. We worked with him at home like crazy. And my parents worked with him on the days they keep him. I truly believe working at home with them is the KEY. So many parents do not work with their kids on it and you can tell the HUGE difference when they don't. Even though he did so good in it, I am having him repeat the book again this year so he will get more out of it.

So I'm thinking it's going to be all hectic tonight and only 7 kids are there! This has never happened before. I'm wondering if the parents didn't know that it started tonight? Our church took the summer off from Wed. services so we can do home fellowships instead. This was the first official night back to Wed. services. I was hoping to get the craziness over with tonight but oh well. It was still a lot of fun!:)

It is hard to get back in the routine again. My church did not do anything different, but I took the summer off for us and when I got home last night I had forgotten how tired I am after such a long day. Our church starts at 7. We have Wednesday night meals at church for $3 and we start eating at 530, so, that's how we can easily start at 615 - most everyone is already there anyway and do not have to make much extra effort. I have to run like crazy to get there with me getting off at 500 but it is so worth it!

We had 13 kids! Which was a lot for us. We averaged 9 last year. I thought 13 was great, especially for the first night. We have about 6 or 7 that moved up from Cubbies. It is a good thing we promoted several to T&T!

Found out last night that a small nearby church is going to be joining us starting next week and then will start their program next year. I am worried about how that will affect our kids. I know that is the wrong attitude! I am not sure how many it will bring in. We will have to go into separate rooms for Handbook time. They are bringing workers but they will have to be trained. This is our second year. Last year we started later b/c we went to another church and observed some before we started. I just do not want to have so many kids and not enough workers to give each child the attention and help they need. Please pray for this! I know God will bless it.

That is so great! I KWYM about the parents involvement! You can tell the difference between the parents who view it as a club and the ones who view it as free babysitting for 1 1/2 hours. It's sad because those kids are so eager to learn!
