Anyone Else Facing Challenges While Trying to Conceive?

In summary, the conversation revolves around different individuals discussing their desire to have another child or expand their family. Some are already expecting, some are trying, and some are hesitant or unable due to financial constraints. There is also mention of a Pampered Chef consultant seeking help from her team to meet certain sales requirements to maintain her directorship.

sitting on the fence leaning toward Baby#3We're considering.. of course DH is great with one more.. we have a 3 yr old and 17 month old now.. boy and girl. So I'm not sure, I think one more is OK but I still have a bit of reservation.. but if I happen to get pregnant I'll be OK with it too. Both pregnancies were pretty rough, 1st one had gestational Diabetes and preterm labor with bedrest for 2 weeks (in the hospital) to keep baby in until 36 weeks. Second baby (girl) was in and out of the hospital and then she didn't want to drop so was in the O.R. when the broke my water to see if baby would come down on her own.. luckily she did!

sorry for all the details..... sittin on the fence almost falling over to the Yes direction on #3...

I would LOVE another baby!! However...since we have four (15, 11 ,7.5, and 5.5), we made a decision to surgically end that when our youngest daughter (5yr old) was 2. I still think we are supposed to have another child but I have put into the Lord's hands. If we are meant to be parents again...he will bless us accordingly.

Wow, Stacie, so both you and your sister conceived twins! Identical or fraternal?

Yeah!!!!

I have recruited 3 new consultants on my TEAM in the last 6 weeks (2 were in the last week) that gives me enough active to stay on as a Director....and my own sales will push me over the $4000 mark (just in case the $168 that my ONE team member has submitted this month doesn't grow!!).

Thats it -- if you can't change your people, change your people! Love that!

I am so very relieved and thankful that the company gives those of us who are starting new downlines to have time to recover from the bumps we have along the way.

Wish I could duplicate me (best show = $4102, have over $80,000 in sales and 16 recruits in the last 20 months)! Oh well, onward and upward from here!

Janice you've made TPC in recruiting!!!! Possibly other areas as well. Way to go!

Crossing my fingers for everyone else too!

Ok-it has been a rough, emotional few weeks here for me. I needed to decide if I wanted to remain a director in spite of the fact that I was in the 3rd month of relinqushment...would it be worth it to me to try to keep it?
So, I was thinking about it and then I got a letter from the host of my show the next Saturday. She is cancelling and it is because I didn't do my job. I felt awful-I have all kinds of excuses, but it comes down to the fact that I didn't call when I should have. I was totally depressed and was really questioning if I should continue with PC...I have just let the business take a back seat for the last year and have managed to get by only on my "laurels". This host really called me on that and now what?????????? Then, we went to church on Sunday and our priest was talking about how we have to use our God-given talents to help reach others (sound familiar??!) THEN on Monday, one of my former consultants called to ask if she could do a catalog show! I explained that if she did and submitted it herself, she would reactivate! She is going to do it! AND my consultant in CT recruited someone and now we are up to 5 just like that! OK-I decided God was speaking (more like yelling:rolleyes:)to me and it was time to get the butt in gear and GO FOR IT! I have since booked 2 more Sept shows along with 7 for October and my team, as small as it is, has been stepping it up to help me!
I cannot tell you how grateful I feel to all my friends at chefsuccess-everyone has been really supportive and helpful with ideas and just kind words. I have never had that feeling from "co-workers" before...I just love you guys! Right now, there is a total of 3 shows submitted and we are already at $1200 and I personally have 5 more shows to do and close and my team has 5 more as well! WE ARE GONNA DO IT!

PERSEVERE...........my new mantra

Margaret, ((( big hugs )))!!! What you said is so true! I'm so happy and relieved for you.

Here was my moment: I went into a month's warning too, and went through all those thoughts myself (especially since I just had a surgery last Wednesday and need a bigger one 12/4 - -I basically cancelled all live shows so I'd get rid of the "how will I know I'm up for it stress".... I wasn't sure *I* would made the 3 out of 4 director $1250 requirement for Spring products... and yada yada yada. Well on 10/30 my bridal registry on today's bride sold $500+ and I made it for November!

My Sept was good, November I have 10 catalog shows (including a fundraiser), 1 catty for December.... but thinking i could do a cooking workshop here?

Just brings home the fact that we all go through this. Is there a place of "comfort"? lol.

We do! And we survive!

I am finally going to start getting HO Leads again this month... has been a LONG time without them! Lost them in July. :( So I am *patiently* waiting for them to kick in again!

Thankfully I've been able to carry my team the last few months... they collectively can't seem to squeek out more than $2k a month on average. With that, I'm in the process of *changing my people*!

Oh, and yes, there is a place of comfort... I think it's somewhere around 30 first line consultants! :)

This may not be a popular thought but I believe we should be using that $4000 mark as our own sales goal each month. Afterall it's me that want's to be a director (and have the director perks!) and by having a strong personal business I'm leading by example. By having the concept of enough shows and enough leads we should be able to have enough recruits to back-up those consultants that just don't work out. Plus this takes out a lot of stress on counting on someone else for my success, (if that makes sense).

That totally makes sense... My NED coaches me biweekly and her rule of thumb is as directors we should be doing a minimum of $2500 personally. Reason being, that we should be responsible for over half of the $4k needed. Also, with the team being responsible for at least $2k of it, it forces us to communicate with them (as we should be doing) and working directly with them. With that, I'm not in any way implying that those who do more than $4k don't communicate with their teams! I agree with the $4k (really need to get past this $3600 thing I've got going!)... because it's more commission for me! :) And in doing most of it myself, it takes the stress out of relying on them right now when I know they aren't performing at their best.

I would LOVE to be able to do the $4K myself-I am looking to do just that in 2008. Any suggestions as to how to intentionally raise my show average??
I have not in the 7 years that I have done this, been able to get my average consistently above $450.

You know, I started doing that about 3 years ago, I was tired of worrying about it. I never went into relinquishment, but came close and was tired of being frustrated. So I kind of reinvented myself and sat down and figured out how many shows I would need to hit $4,000 (6 or 7) and just made it a point to try and do that. Sometimes I don't hit it, but most times I do. I also started actively recruiting and now we're doing a steady $8-10K per month. Just remember this business is such that the more you do, the more you'll do.

I also work fulltime and never thought I could sell $4000 a month, then I realized that it was me that put that boundry on me. I started being more mindful of my coach hosting and stated learning ways to work smarter, not harder. Suzie Lite once told me that host coaching is where we make our money, the party is where we pick it up. Since then I have been very consistant in reaching 3500 to 4000 every month. Once I relized it could be done I no longer have that mental block. Also my recruiting has been on fire too, 8 recruits in the last 2 1/2 months.
