I have a 6 foot table at a craft fair this weekend and wanted to do a practice run of setting up my table before I get there.
Attached is my picture of my table and I'd love any opinions you may have.
I plan on using the trifle bowl for all the "tickets" for prizes that way people can see...
Hello Cheffers,
I have a table at a craft fair this weekend and just got my business license for it today. I will also be applying for a permanent business license shortly. I have a question though. In Guam there is no "tax" but they charge a "retail tax" of 4% to direct sales business...
I do a lot of trading at craft shows. I get Christmas gifts from other vendors in exchange for either something at my booth or with an order that I pay for.
I also exchanged PC for a rubber stamp of a chef and some "Thank You" stamps. I'm hoping she will be a recruit lead also. She asked...
Hi all!
I posted the other day about my TV tray display I'll be putting up at my local Curves for their craft show. Because I am so limited in my space (A TV tray is small, people....SMALL!!! Ugh!), I'm debating what to take and leave. Displays will stay up for 3 days, and I won't be there...

I am trying to venture outside of my current local suburb as it tends to be a lot of SAHM's trying to watch every penny. Sales are so low its almost not worth my time. So I want to venture to the city area that will have a better "play money" demographic.
So I wondered, what did you do while...
I have some follow up calls to make to a few people that I met at a local craft show. I have about 4 or 5 people that did mark "maybe" on hosting a show. I also did a drawing for a free cooking show. So, my question is this: Does anyone have some wording suggestions or a script on what to say to...

Can you give me some pointers as to products on the "have to take" list like, meat lifters and gravy seperator.. and are there things that I shouldn't bother taking like say..... I have no idea what might go one this list.

A co-worker of my DH's has held a craft fair each November for at least the past 20 years and has quite a large following. Last year they moved to a huge building on our State Fairgrounds. Last year I asked her that if they ever considered having direct sales participate to let me know. Well...
I did a local craft fair last fall and great success. I shared the booth with my recruiter. I worked the morning, she the afternoon. (I only offered it to her because I knew she was struggling with her business and I also had an event for my DS that I wanted to attend later in the day.) So...
So, I'm about brain-dead after a very long day...I'm going to post my list so far of what I'm getting ready - feel free to browse and see if I'm missing anything important.

Has anyone used the Pastry Mat (current or retired version) as a work surface for crafting, specifically when using a heat gun?
I was at the craft store today and there was a mat for sale to use with heat applications (under melting pot, with heat gun while embossing, etc.) that was billed as...
I was browsing eventlister.com for events in my area, and all I found were mostly craft shows. What kinds of fairs/shows do you guys typically go to? I guess I'm having trouble seeing how PC might fit into a craft show...

A friend of mine owns a craft mall and asked me about getting a book to display my PC business. Can I do that? I thought I read somewhere that it was against the rules, but when I was looking over the P&P, I couldn't find it.
If I can't do that, is it ok to just leave some catties lying...
I did a craft show in November. The vendor (handmade tutu skirts) next to me chatted all day and had a good time. She ended up placing a $170 order with me at the end of the day! The packaged was delivered 11/21; I called and left her a message saying I hope she was enjoying her merchandise and...
I have a couple craft fairs and a holiday open house coming up and I was thinking of doing something with the batter bowl mixes either displaying them and taking orders or having a bunch made up to sell. I know a lot of people like to take something home with them, but I don't know how...
I am kind of excited actually, but also overwhelmed. I have had something going on every day for the last several weeks (shows, fundraisers, training, meetings, craft shows) and I am feeling a little worn out! Heck, I still have two shows to do yet this month, and 6 more to close on top of...
Anyone have any ideas on how to create a generic - non logo type of sign inexpensively. Merrill will take to long for a craft fair I have next weekend.
follow up with customers after a craft show?
I got many leads, several bokings and potential recruits.
Do you send out a catalog?
If so, by itself or in an envelop?
Do you just send a nice letter and a bus. card?
All input is appreciated!!!!
