When you order a gift certificate, can they use it at a party or does it have to be direct ship?

I have a friend in Las Vegas ( I'm in KS) with a GC for $150 she wants to spend. I've never sold or redeemed one! HELP! Any suggestions?:confused: Should she just mail it to me and call me with her order? What if she doesn't spend the whole amount ( sounds unlikely, though)?

...what do you give them? My search here gave me only "homemade" gift certificates.

Can someone explain how these work. I got some forms for this in my starter pack along with a sample of one. Do I fill out the information in the form and then mail it to the the HO and the gift certificate is then sent to them??

How does someone redeem a gift certificate from the Home Office? It can't be done through a show, right? It can be done on-line or through Home Office is what I read on this website. But how does the person know where to go on-line? Can it be through my personal website? Thanks....
