I've been putting off calling a couple people from a catalog show that I did earlier this month - mainly because I've never met them! They both want to have cooking shows, so I finally got up the courage and called them today! I knew they were at work (they work w/ my MIL) so I just left...
With gas prices going sky high and people wanting to go on vacations lately, I think people have tightened their belts on their wallets because they need to pick where they spend their money, thus leaving the direct sales business dry and this includes us with Pampered Chef.
I don't know...
wondering how you all deal with them. I've been really working on calling contacts but I get so many answering machines. If I am following up about an order I usually leave a message inviting them to call me back, thanking them for their order, and asking if they have any questions/concerns...
I know a few of you use this... so far I have not. Just a quick question about how it works.
It states the # of calls made and a price. Does that mean if I have to call 40 people for one show that is 40 calls or because it is for one show, is it one call?
Thanks in advance...
I am doing a bridal expo this weekend with another consultant. We are promoting the Well-Stocked Kitchen Sweepstakes. What are your thoughts on this: does it make sense to have 3 different forms that brides fill out? One for the sweepstakes, one for the registry, and one for the door prize...
I have always had a problem calling past customers to see if they need anything else or even telling them the new host items for each month to see if they want to host a party. (i don't have a problem making sure items are working and etc) I am always affraid I am bothering them.
I just ran...
I have found a website that lists some local couples that are getting married in the near future as well as their info. Would it be ethical to call them even though I have no connection with them? If so, what would I say?
Okay first I want to say TIA for reading & showing your support. I have so many mixed emotions, I am pulling my hair out.
I was so excited to see Belinda & go to leadership both great! That Jan was going to be a grand new start! Well Leadership was rough because I felt like an odd ball out...
I have to call everyone in my address book to let them know I am having a Mystery Host Show on January 12th. What is can I say to them? I am having like major phone freeze. I keep trying to talk myself into going down to the post office and buying stamps to send out the invites, but I don't...
I was thinking about going door to door letting people in my area know I am here. Does anyone have a script or ideas on what to say when they answer?
I've been with PC for 2 years and have no shows:eek: , I am in real need to get a few on the calendar. HELP!
Hello all-
I just used my Cutting board with measuring cups for the 3rd time last night, and when I took it out of the dishwasher this AM, it had yellow stains all over it!   I haven't even gotten to my Open House in 2 days, and now I get to showcase a yellow-dotted cutting...
I have a few leads from booths that I'm getting frustrated on the follow-up. When I first talked to them, they were enthusiastic about hosting a show, and said they would get a firm date with me the next time we talked. Now it has been MONTHS since I've been able to contact several of them...
Let's get a discussion going for those of us "trapped" in the corporate world by day.
Here's a few questions to get the ball rolling:
1. How do you motivate yourself after a long day at work to do your PC job - make those calls, send those host packets, etc.?
2. How many shows do you do...
OK ladies, this is your chance to toot your own horn. I am a newbie and this will be my first conference and I haven't done anything yet to earn a walk across the stage. But I would love to hear from those of you who will be walking and why you will be walking - and if you are in Wave 2, I'll...
I had this host in May who was so excited about having a huge show, but then she changed the date 3 times. I tried to pump her up and even made her some profiterole puffs to take to work to get some outside orders (she claimed her 2 year old got into the fridge and ate them all, my dish is still...
My most wonderful, fabulous, energetic director just joined us here at chefsuccess. Hopefully she won't lurk for to long and will instead give us some of her great ideas.

Does anyone ever do these? It's about where I'm at right now. I've pretty much exhausted everyone I know. I do have a few tentatives on my calendar but nothing set in stone as of today. Since I'm trying to make this my full time thing, it's looking bleak. Just wondering, for people who have...
How long do you wait to make a second phone call after you leave a message? I always have a list of guests from parties that wanted later dates. For example, right now my parties from Nov./Dec. I had quite a few who said call me in the new year or at the end of January. I will call and leave...
I just wondered if it would be appropriate to call my catalog show customers, in order to get more catalog show bookings? One of the customers spent $135 yesterday in product, and I thought she might be a great potential host. A friend of mine is hosting the catalog show in Florida (I live in...
I'm organizing a Leadership teleclass with Lifeline Coaches (the company Steve Wiltshire is affiliated with) that will run for 4 Mondays starting 9/12. The topic is A New Approach to Leadership. Several directors have taken this course and swear it has had an unbelievable impact on their...
okay guys, I need help.....I've decided tonight I am going to do some "cold calls" I'm sure I'll be fine after the first one but I don't know what to say. I have a list from the welcome wagon of names and numbers and that's all the info I have. They have a card from me and a free cake tester...
I just thought I would share this with everyone in regards to calling our guests. I know we all have different ways and such. And I think calling guests is a great way to establish yourself as being a caring kitchen consultant! But when do you begin to call......
One of my preferred...
What works best for your hosts... calling guests first then sending a reminder postcard later, or sending postcards first and waiting to hear from invitees?
