Will We Get a Sneak Peek of the New Harry Potter Movie?

In summary, our friend is going to let us and Wesley in to see the new movie when they preview it this weekend. They are buying two so we don't have to wait for each other and we are going to donate one to the media center we work at.

We have a friend who manages a movie theatre and he is going to try to let me and Wesley in to see the new movie when they preview it!! It will probably be sometime this weekend! Keep your fingers crossed!!! I promise not to spill the beans if I do!! I know the London premiere is this week or weekend! I am so glad that they signed the main 3 for the rest of the movies!! (had to move this I put in the wrong place! OOPS!)

My boys have been so exctited they are about to bust. They can't wait for the book either.

We are buying two so my DH and I don't have to wait for each other to finish. After we are done, we are going to donate one to the media center I work at since it will be a few weeks before we can order books.

LOL, April, I first read your post thinking Wesley was WEASLEY!!! I am such a fan of the books, mainly, and have really enjoyed the movies, too. My husband and I have done the same thing you and your DH do about the two copies, and have two of all of them, so far. We're going to give a set to our nephew when he gets to be of Harry Potter-reading age (he's just six now). It's funny-- in my CafePress shop, I have a small section for bookworms, which has stuff I designed in reference to a couple of my favorite books/characters. Well, my Harry Potter stuff has been FLYING out of the store, especially the Muggle stuff. People are buying baby bibs, doggy t-shirts, bumper stickers, ANYTHING with Muggle on it!It just tickles me, because I just did it for my own fun, and people ended up liking it! Hope y'all do get a chance to preview the film!!!

That is too funny!! I like watching the kids at Walmart when it is close to a new book coming out or halloween you see these little 4/5 years olds dressed up!! My kids are 3 and 2 and they like the goblet of fire! that is the only one they have seen so far, well last night the saw the first part of sorcers stone and they laughed when hagrid gave his cousin the pigs tail!!

Okay, Potter fans, you need to see this in sequence. First of all, you need to see the original animation of (link) Badger Badger Badger Badger because this is the silliness that started it all. It's a little bizarre, and those of us who are Wisconsin Badger fans get a kick out of. Hang on long enough to see the snake at least once, then kill it to follow this link:Potter Potter Potter Potter and be sure to stay with this for awhile. You'll get a couple of surprises if you let the loop run for at least 10 cycles.Enjoy!

My son and I are huge fans! We've been reading the books since he was in 1st grade and he's going into 6th next year. In fact, he made honor roll this past trimester so I told him we'd take him to the movie for opening night and that I'd buy the book for him. I've often split it 1/2 & 1/2 with him. We (my hubby and I) are big believers in not giving "everything" the kids want to them. We always give them great Christmases (sp?) and birthdays, but don't go too crazy on them, for all other times. Don't get me wrong, they have plenty!!!! But we pay them allowance for their chores and we are teaching them about real life. When my son wants to rent a video game at Blockbuster, he pays for it!
Anyway back to the subject. He jokingly called it his "Harry Potter" report card! And is tickled about us rewarding him this way. I will no doubt give him some money too, because he was on honor roll 2 of the 3 trimesters and only missed it the 2nd trimester becasue of a C in PE:mad: (don't get me started! ) But he also got a Golden E (behavior and & effort award!) all three trimesters! So I want to really reward him! He's a great kid!:)
And I need to reward my daughter too because she got a good report card too and improved the (2) N's she got 2nd trimester and got none this last time! She got 2 N's cause she's a drama queen! She use to get upset easy and freak out and we've really had to crack the whip!!! She's a good girl too so we just let her know that at school, her teacher is like us to her, she's in charge, not my daughter! She really worked hard at controlling herself these last few months!:)
But I can't wait for the movie but especially the book!
Have fun Chef 2 four!! I'm envious!:p ;) :D

I'm a big Potterphile too! I'm so excited for the movie... and the book I have mixed feelings about. I want to see how it ends, but I don't want it to be over! :(

I know exactly how you feel. I want to see what happens and what he learns about his parents and everything but I don't want it to be the end!!

Okay, I didn't see this thread and posted in the other. BUT I hope you do go to the preview. I went to the Azkaban preview and saw it a month before it was released! I was so excited like a kid in a candy shop. I have all the books and read them more than I have fingers to count on. I read www.leaky-cauldron.org every day and visit www.jkrowling.com/en once a month (she doesn't update much) just to keep in tune with what's going on. This year I am reading all of the books to my son this summer as part of his reading program. We read a chapter each day, but yesterday we read 2! He just wanted to keep going. He is starting to realize the books are better than the movies, but I have to say that the movies for HP are fantastic! I am also giving him the 7th book as a gift for doing well in school too. We are going to the IMAX in San Diego when we visit friends. My friend and her son are joining us. As you can see in my signature "I can't wait and the suspense is killing me!" BTW, you should see my myspace www.myspace.com/tpchefrebecca you might have to request as a friend but the graphics are amazing. Okay, I am done now:D

Icant wait for the book to come out and the movie. My son is so excited he loves Goblet of Fire he is 5. We have told him we want to see the movie before we let him see it. I wish JK Rowling would do a prequal on his parents

I am excited about the new book too. I just wish it was not so long between them. I tend to be fuzzy on the details from waiting so long.:D
