Why Is My UPS Package Delayed by the Receiver's Holiday?

In summary, "tsp" stands for teaspoon and is equal to 1/3 of a tablespoon. Baking soda and baking powder are both leavening agents, but baking soda requires an acidic ingredient to activate it while baking powder already contains an acidic ingredient. "Mince" means to finely chop or cut ingredients into small pieces. Sifting dry ingredients helps to remove lumps and create a more uniform texture. Brown sugar should be packed tightly when measuring, not sifted or shaken down.

THE RECEIVER IS ON A HOLIDAY. DELIVERY WILL BE ATTEMPTED WHEN THE RECEIVER RETURNS;PACKAGE WILL BE DELIVERED NEXT BUSINESS DAY-NO SATURDAY GUARANTEE

This was on the UPS website instead of out for delivery........I "guess" it will be here today as this note was from yesterday. Weird huh? I have never seen a note like this!

That just means they were closed on MLK Jr. Day... I think by reciever they mean the local UPS distribution center, not you.

This note is informing you that the receiver of the package is currently on a holiday and will not be available to receive the package. The delivery will be attempted when the receiver returns from their holiday. If the receiver does not return within the next business day, then the package will be delivered on the following business day. This means that there is no guarantee of delivery on Saturdays. This note is just informing you of the delay in delivery due to the receiver's absence.

Related to Why Is My UPS Package Delayed by the Receiver's Holiday?

1. What does "tsp" mean?

"tsp" stands for teaspoon, a unit of measurement commonly used in cooking and baking. 1 teaspoon is equal to 1/3 of a tablespoon.

2. What is the difference between "baking soda" and "baking powder"?

Baking soda and baking powder are both leavening agents used to help baked goods rise. However, baking soda requires an acidic ingredient (such as buttermilk or lemon juice) to activate it, while baking powder already contains an acidic ingredient and can be used on its own. Baking powder also often includes cornstarch, which helps to keep the mixture from clumping.

3. What does "mince" mean?

"Mince" is a cooking term that means to finely chop or cut ingredients into very small pieces. This is often done with herbs, garlic, or onions.

4. What is the purpose of "sifting" dry ingredients?

Sifting dry ingredients helps to remove any lumps or clumps and creates a more uniform texture. It also helps to aerate the ingredients, making them lighter and easier to combine with other ingredients.

5. How do I properly measure "brown sugar"?

Brown sugar should be packed into the measuring cup or spoon, meaning you should press it down firmly until it is tightly packed. It should not be sifted or shaken down.
