What's Your Favorite New Recipe?

In summary, the new recipes that are available are all delicious. Some people prefer the flat bread with spreads over the panini, while others prefer the pizza. The favorite new recipe is the bread pudding.

Just wondering what you've all tried from the new SB, and/or the Cooking for 2 and more book....what do you like best?
For my bingo/sneak peek I made the phyllo wrapped asparagus, homemade flatbread w/parmesan herb butter, harvest chicken salad, caramel sticky cakes, and chocolate pecan tart.
I liked all those except the asparagus! I don't think that one will go over too well around here--I had half of it left! Everything else was delish. I especially like the harvest chicken salad-if you're thinking it won't be good, with apples & cranberries & such, just try it! Even my 7yr old & 3yr old loved it! I think that, the caramel cakes, and the chocolate tart will be the ones I'll be recommending the most the next few months.....how about you?:)

I LOVE the panini! I made it for my husband & friends this weekend & they all loved it! My mom said the chocolate pecan lattice tart was one of her favorite PC dishes. I tried the wrapped asparagus & chicken en croute, but I don't like how dry they taste because of the phyllo dough-even with the sauce. I also hate using it & don't do it at shows-it breaks even with it covered. Could I use a pastry dough or something instead?

I'm excited to try the Harvest Chicken Salad. I'm making it for my cluster meeting in two weeks.

Not something I'd do for a show, but I made the juiciest roast chicken & LOVED it!

The Chocolate Tart is awesome. I also love the flat bread and the spreads. I have tried them all EXCEPT the Harvest Chicken Salad! The consultant that was supposed to make that and bring to our cluster meeting did not show up!

You'll love the chicken salad:D

So what are you all doing for asparagus. Asparagus harvest is January - June 15th and in California depending on weather can be delayed until March! I cannot believe they used this for a winter recipe. I have not tried any of the new recipes yet, but this one looks the best to me and I am not going to be able to find asparagus :(

If you think it's hard to find in CA - try MI in the dead of winter!
I am not even going to attempt that recipe for the Winter, but think I might for the Spring Season.

PAMPEREDGIRL3: I think I will try using Puff Pastry for the Chicken en Croute - I have other similar recipes, and that is what they use....I am not a big fan of Phyllo dough (just personal preference)- unless it's smothered in honey, butter, and nuts in the form of Baklava:D

At my open house, I made the Panini's, The Flat Bread w/ spreads, the Antipasto Pizza, Choc. Pecan Tart, Caramel Sticky cakes, and Caramel Apple Bread Pudding......the favorites were:
Panini's, Bread Pudding, and Sticky Cakes! (followed closely by the Pizza)
