What should I do with my first wedding registry lead?

I just got my first wedding registry lead and I am not sure what to do next. I don't actually know the couple. It's a friend of a friend of a friend thing. Do I schedule a Pampered Bride shower for the couple as well as do a registry with them? I'm not even totally sure how to set up the registry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
