What is This Kitchen Tool and Why is it So Popular?

In summary, the conversation is about a product that was found in a kitchen drawer and is not a PC product. The original product is an herb cutter and the neighbor is interested in it.

I had someone ask me the other day if I knew what product this came off of. She found it in a drawer in her kitchen..she is pretty sure that it belongs to something PC.

That is not a PC item. It looks like it makes pastry or pasta but we never sold it.

OK..thank you very much. I will let her know. I told her that I would ask and see if anyone knew.

on a different note, Heidi, what is that plant? It looks a lot like a prolific one I have. I received a cutting from my Aunt 10+ years ago but she didn't know its name. We simply call it a "window" plant because the ends are translucent and you can sort of see into the leaves kind of like a window. My one puny cutting is overtaking the neighbhorhood :)

I have no idea..the plant and the thing in the pics is at my fiance's hairdressers shop..I will ask her when I call her to tell her that the item isn't PC. I will let you know.

That was my first thought.

that plant looks like a version of Mother in Law's Tongue, or a snake plant.

The original item is not a PC product. It's an herb cutter. I have one. It went inside a small, curved shell. You grasp the shell with your hand and use it to run the blades back and forth over herbs.

It IS an herb cutter! My neighbor was just telling me yesterday that of all the PC products she's gotten from me, that her herb cutter (like that in the picture), is her absolute favorite. Too bad it's not PC!:blushing:
