What advice can you offer for a new PC consultant?

In summary, don't spend a lot of money on stuff as hopefully you'll get lots of PC dollars and you can use those for supplies and extra products you want. Get the "booster" (or whatever they call it now supply kit). Practice the recipes that came with your kit. Have fun. Remember that you are offering a benefit to people NOT that you are asking them to do you a favor - being a host is a great benefit to people where they get great products free and discounted. Have fun and good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I will check out the booster kit. Once again thanks!!!

When you get your consultant kit there will be info on the "booster" kit. You have to mail in the piece of paper - there is no other way to get the kit. It is a great deal on those few extra supplies/catalogs you can use when you start out at a discounted price.

If you're like most of us, you'll be nervous before your first party. Practice what you want to say out loud. It plants it in a different part of your brain.Be sure to have fun. If you're having a good time, so will your guests.

This is my opinion, make sure you have your first 4 shows lined up. It sure does make it easier to get qualified faster. That way you are not scrambling around to get people to do shows for you right at first.

Take every bit of training you possibly can. If you can go to Consultant's Corner and knock out those 6 trainings, you'll be more solid than many 'seasoned' consultants your first time out! It's free, and it's very well done - train yourself!

God Bless, Take Care!

Give your new business 100% effort at least for the first 90 days. If after that you don't like it then you can make the choice to stay or go or turn it into a hobbyist business! Get as many shows on your callendar as you possibly can in the beginning! Don't just think of it as your first 4 shows... book as many people as you can and get them to committ to a date now! I have NEVER seen anyone give up and not like PC when they started out strong! In fact they love it even more! And are really successful! You'll be so happy you gave it your all and that will lead to a strong business if that is what you decide you want!:D
Good luck and Welcome to Our Board! :balloon:

LOL :D

But seriously, you have been given some good info there!

Keep your demo shows simple.
Practice (outloud like Rae said!!)
Book a solid first 90 days right away
Post here when you have a need or a question...there are tons of smart, experienced PCer's on here!

Welcome to CS and congrats on starting your own business!

My advice (in addition to the great things already mentioned) is to not think about the 4 shows you need. Think about ALL those that would benefit from what PC has to offer and offer it to everyone. Fill your calendar as much as you can. Go into next month and the next. Talk to them about starting their business with you. Talk to them about consultant benefits and host benefits and the quality and value of our products. Don't drive them crazy but show your love and excitement.

Make it about them and what they can get out of it. You will reap your rewards as they reap theirs. ...and HAVE FUN!
