Support Our Veterans: Join Our Fundraiser for a Trip to Hawaii!"

In summary, some suggestions for the upcoming fundraiser for the Veterans trip to Hawaii include reaching out to local businesses for donations and sponsorships, utilizing social media and creating a website for promotion, hosting events and offering incentives for donations, and partnering with veteran organizations. Personal connections and creative fundraising ideas can also be effective in raising funds.

I have a fundraiser coming up in June for the Veterans. Each year they have a trip somewhere that they compete in games. Next year it is in Hawaii. The cost per person is $1,200. The chairperson is a big motivator and is telling them that there's no reason each of them can't get $6,000 in orders. He thinks this is the best thing since sliced bread!

I want to do this so that I can get as much as possible for them. I'm donating 5% of my commission. I have a soft spot in my heart for veterans because I was an "airforce bratt" growing up. Any suggestions would be helpful - thanks!!

Judy:)

Here are some suggestions for your fundraiser:1. Reach out to local businesses and organizations in your area and ask if they would be willing to contribute to the fundraiser. This could be in the form of donations, sponsorships, or partnerships. 2. Create a website for the fundraiser that outlines its purpose and goals, and provides potential donors with more information about the cause. 3. Utilize social media to promote the fundraiser and reach a wider audience. Post regularly on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. 4. Hold an event in your community to generate awareness and encourage people to donate. This could be in the form of a dinner, live music performance, or other entertainment. 5. Ask friends and family members to spread the word about the fundraiser. Word of mouth is a powerful tool! 6. Consider setting up an online donation page so that people can donate directly to the cause.

1. Reach out to local businesses and ask them to sponsor the fundraiser. Offer them advertising or recognition at the event in exchange for their donation. Many businesses are happy to support veterans and may be willing to donate a significant amount.2. Host a silent auction or raffle at the fundraiser. Ask local businesses to donate items or services for the auction. This can be a great way to raise additional funds while also promoting local businesses.3. Reach out to local media outlets and ask if they would be willing to do a story on the fundraiser and the veterans it will benefit. This can help raise awareness and potentially attract more donations.4. Utilize social media to promote the fundraiser. Create a Facebook event page and share it with friends and family. Ask them to share it with their networks as well. You can also use platforms like Twitter and Instagram to promote the fundraiser and share updates on the progress.5. Offer incentives for individuals to donate. For example, for every $50 donated, the person's name will be entered into a raffle for a prize. This can encourage people to donate more and increase the overall amount raised.6. Reach out to local veteran organizations and ask if they would be willing to partner with you for the fundraiser. They may be able to help spread the word and attract more donations.7. Consider hosting a fundraising event, such as a dinner or concert, with all proceeds going towards the veterans' trip to Hawaii. This can be a fun and interactive way to raise money and attract more donors.8. Don't forget about online fundraising platforms like GoFundMe or Kickstarter. These can be great tools for reaching a larger audience and collecting donations from people who may not be able to attend the fundraiser in person.9. Get creative with your fundraising ideas! Consider hosting a car wash, bake sale, or other fun event to raise money for the veterans. Every little bit helps and can add up to a significant amount.10. Lastly, don't be afraid to ask for donations directly. Reach out to friends, family, and colleagues and ask them to support the cause. Personal connections can often be the most effective way to raise funds.
