Are the home office tours typically busier the first day of conference or the last day? I am trying to schedule my tour for a less busy time so it is less hectic.

They're always full. It doesn't matter to the tour which one you take, so pick one based on your travel schedule. You may not be able to get one now anyway - by this time, they're usually waiting list only.
 
Last year I was ready to go home on the last day! I was so glad to have scheduled it the first day. I did the first day again this year. It's a great start to conference.
 
Always full buses - just go and have a great time -they don't rush you and its so much fun - you feel so appreciated and it really is awesome seeing everything!!
