Question About Recipes at Shows.....

In summary, Tasha offers three recipes for each season. She selects one to do each month. If the host wants more, she will do a drink in the QSP.

I'm curious. Do you all change up the recipes you do for shows, or do you do the same basic recipes for all your shows?

I select about three for each category (appetizer, main dish, dessert) to offer each season. This way I have control over what I make, but the hosts can choose what sounds the best to them!

I do the same thing. I got this idea and flyer from one of the director's in my group and changed the recipies up a bit. Here is the menu I offer.

That's what I wanted to hear. I hope you don't mind if I use your layout Tasha! That's awesome. I'll just change it up to suit my needs.

Just curious too.....do you do one or two recipes at the shows?

One recipe only. If I do a second it's something easy like a dip I have prepared in advance and just bake and serve or it's a Rice Cooker or Fluted Stone microwave cake.

I also offer just a handful of recipes and steer my hosts towards the ones I like to do or the ones that show off the upcoming specials.

I generally select one recipe to do for a particular month. However, I will make something else if the host doesn't like the selection or has a favorite she's wanting.

Thanks for sharing Tasha. ;) I hate coming up with a new one EVERY month!

I offer a list of recipe choices to my host for the selling season. For instance, in March and April, I'm ONLY doing salads or trifles prepared in the trifle bowl or the Dots Large Round bowl. Here's what my March/April hosts can choose from. If it goes well, then I'll continue longer. If not, I'll change it up. HTH

I was wondering about doing this, becuase I really want to get a few recipes for the season and the ones in the book seem sooooo complicated. I think the guests love the idea of keeping it easy. I really like the old school recipes, but I like the idea of them being able to pick ones they like. I really need to get my favorites. So far, I only have the antipasto pizza. I really like that one.

And when you do the same recipe at almost every show, then everything goes more smoothly because you know what you're doing. :)

I do one recipe... if the host wants me to do more, I will do a drink in the QSP. I have generally 2 choices available for the host and I've never had any complaints. I'll change it up for a repeat host or repeat "group of guests" so they can see something different... but it's generally just something simple and yummy!

WHERE is the recipe for Southwest Layered Salad? I want to check that one out..... thanks :)

Yeah I am thinking I will get a menu together and add it to my script that I put together from that demo. My show came out sooooo goood when I did the anti pasto salad from that video. It was over a 1000.00 show, so I must have done something right....

I have been giving them 3 recipes and having them chose just one and depending on the number of guests I may bring something like a dessert or something little.

Another idea....any of the pull apart breads in the 8" saute pan are a great second recipe. I've done the garlic ones mostly, but did the caramel pecan ones once and they were YUM!!
