I sent out about 167 invites for my open house with my tastefully simplw friend. I have had 7 no's so far this week. When guests call and say that can't make it I have been offfering a special bonus(host sp for July free) if they book there own, but no one is accepting, I feel like this open house might be a waste of my time. It's only 1 week away I hope people show up and it will a good show.

Any tips for word choices instead of offering the host special for free!
 
You could do the Mystery Host show. That might entice them. With 167 invites, surely you'll get a good turn out!! I sure hope you do!!! Think positive thoughts! :) Let us know how it turns out.
 
Make sure you host coach yourself!!! Make those reminder calls! You also might want to call your recruiter/director and run the words you are using about bookings by him/her to see if you can tweak what you are saying. Also, are you making hosting seem fun and like something they want to do and THEN asking them?
 
Also, do not forget, the no's always come first. Those are the people who already know they are not available. This is very normal!

yes I did call them and personally invite in addition to the mailings and they seemed interested they didn't say no, so maybe I'll have a few...I'll keep ya posted
