In summary, the conversation revolved around a shared hatred for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Despite different team allegiances, the participants agreed that Brady was pompous and a poor role model. I just needed to vent about my hatred for the New England Patriots. Actually, it's more of a hatred for Tom Brady. Oh what I would not do to smack that smug look he always has off his face. They just beat the Steelers (my team), so I'm especially angry right now. Like I said nothing to do with PC, just home alone and my dog and 16 month old just don't get it....

lol...I must agree about Tom Brady he does seem to be pompus.
But have to say I can't be upset they won tonight.

I'm no help either... I'm still greiving over the fact that I'll never see Troy Aikman in those tight little quarterback pants ever again... Bummer! :(

you are from MA so you can be forgiven....:)

lol I'm glad to see I'm not alone in this. I can't stand him. He's a poor role model and it really irritates me that everyone raves about him so. I'm so sick of hearing how great he is. Pfftt There have been and will be better. I'm waiting and hoping that Miami kills them. It would be the ultimate satisfaction that a team with no wins stomps them in the dirt. :D

Did anyone watch the 60 Minutes segment tonight about LaDanian Tomlinson? That kid is not only a great ballplayer but also a good role model. If only more of them could be like him. His mama raised him right. :)

I HATE the Patriots!!!

I used to kinda like him (only 2nd behind Favre!), but not anymore. He's turned into such a jerk. My dh is hoping so bad that the Colts will end up beating them so they won't go to the superbowl.
I'll stick with my man Favre any day:)

That's my hope too!!! I live in Indiana! I was so mad when they lost to them earlier this year--if there is only one game for the Colts to win, I want it to be the Patriots! Never have been able to stand Tom Brady.

I completely agree! I think the Pats are soooo over rated! I "hope" that the Packers meet up w/ the Pats in the playoffs and Brett kicks his butt in the dirt!
On the segment on 60 min w/ Tomlinson, I thought that was GREAT! What a wonderful guy and his wife should feel so fortunate to have such a loving caring man as a husband!

Miami can't even beat a stick right now, let alone the Pats. My dislike has been deeply rooted since birth...for the Dall a$$ Cowboys. I can not believe they did the same thing yesterday as they did to the Bills earlier this year. Lose the entire game and win it by a freakin point with less than a minute on the clock. I believe they have a madatory..."you have to be c*cky to be let on the field" manual for this team. Maybe that is where Brady learned it from. Traider Parsells must have sent it to him when he coached the Sowboys. Just my opinions, folks, so if you are a fan of Dallas, please don't send me hate mail. I respect your opinion, so please respect mine!

I know, yesterday sucked!! It was close for a while and then the Steelers lost their minds. I mean, get it together!!! They are not THAT good (Patriots). We really wanted the Steelers to be the team to beat them..No such luck! Boo.

lol I agree! That's why I'd love to see them beat the Pats. :D That would just be too funny.

I understand about the Cowboys. I'm from Texas and have never pulled for a Texas team...Cowboys, Oilers or Texans. I do like Tony Romo though. He's a good qb. It's just a shame he's not with a different team. lol

the steelers do that all the time...as soon as they have a turnover or some crazy thing happens, like that weird play with brady and moss, they completely fall apart....:yuck:

Okay Don't hate me just because I am from Massachusetts :D and LOVE THE PATRIOTS!!!! Tom Brady is a little full of himself but don't you think he and the team deserve it. Now lets tell the truth if it was your team that was having the best season ever you would love them too. You are just upset becasue they are beating the pants off every other team out there.

We have the best teams this year in all our sports, the Red Sox, the Patriots, The Celtics are kicking but and even the Bruins are doing good. I got to say it's great being from New England.

Not me. lol Two of my teams are Green Bay and Indy and they're both doing fine. Besides, I love them win or lose. Not just in winning seasons. Otherwise, I would have given up on the Saints years ago. lol They'll always be my first pick but I have to go with someone who wins to offset their losses. Besides the fact, they're rarely televised so if I waited to watch them I'd never get to see a game. lol

I really just hate Tom Brady....I feel bad for Randy Moss because he's the one scoring everything, but all anyone talks about is Tom Brady. Plus Brady is a dirt bag!!! He was given a week off to go be with his newborn baby, but instead he flew out for a day, then went back to practice so he could play that weekend...Seriously?!?!?! I don't care if the Steelers recruited Tom Brady and they won the next ten superbowls because of him.....I will still hate him!

Just a reminder we don't know what really happens in the life of others. I feel bad for Tom Brady when it comes to his baby. The baby lives in CA and he is in MA and the baby does not have his last name. But I am sure he is paying lots of his money to care for him. As he should but I feel that baby should have his last name, he is the father. We don't know why he did not stay the whole week. We "assume" it was to play in the game, but we don't really know, now do we.

I was thinking the same thing. Unless we know him personally we do not know what his real situation is.
I do believe that a real dirt bag would be in jail or spouting off at the mouth every chance they can. Which Tom Brady is not.
Yes I know I am from MA too, I would be saying the same thing if you were attacking another player from another state. We do not know his real home life situation. I think we should just judge him on the field playing, which happens to be pretty good. The Patriots did not get their 13 -0 record all by luck, they have skill that got them there with a bit of luck sometimes.

the whole baby situation is just a "real" reason to justify my hatred, but regardless i still don't like him! he's an arrogant, smug, pretty boy who just flat out irritates the s**t out of me....sorry to all the MA people who love him...

I guess I don't pay attention enough-I haven't seen the arrogant smug side of Brady. I'm a Bills fan and we lost twice to them this season & one was an embarassment:mad: I do admire the Patriots TEAM and their abilities. Can I say that??? They are in our division. Just be glad if they aren't in yours.

We (the Bills) still have a wild card chance. If & when we are out of the playoff mix, then I dream of the Pats going undefeated & Miami WINLESS!:D I have been so sick of hearing about Miami & their undefeated season

You have to be a Bills fan to really understand the Miami thing;)

BTW, check out SI this week, our Kevin Everett is on the cover! What a story his comeback from the spinal cord injury is:)

Next, I would root for Indy. Gotta love Peyton. I'm glad the aren't in our division anymore:rolleyes:

Pretty boy? Where??? lol Sorry I don't see it. :p

The baby situation is the main reason I don't like him either. The problem I have with that is that he was in a committed relationship with the mother and left her while she was pregnant then expected to be the great daddy when the baby was born. I don't believe in holding men responsible for pregnancy because it's ultimately the woman's responsibility since it's her body. But.. when you're in a long-term relationship, that all changes. It's the same as marriage and it wouldn't have been accepted had they been married and he left. Yes, it's the 21st century and things have changed but then again some things have not. Like being responsible for your actions. I'm sure there are those who disagree with my position and no, I don't know the entire story. What I do know is that it looks bad no matter which angle you view it from and it makes him look like a jerk whether he is or not. Besides, I don't like him just because I don't. lol

It does look like Tom left Bridget after she found out she was pregnant. Or could it be Bridget got pregnant to try and keep Tom? We will never know the real story woman do sometimes do crazy things to keep a man. I don't think his personal life is a reason to dislike him so much. The Patriots work hard together to get to where they are. Tom being the QB he does get a lot of the attention but the team as a whole is the best not just Tom.

Well the New England Patriots did it again!!!! 14 straight games the Pats Rock as a team!!!!!

GO PATRIOTS! WOO HOO!!!

Sorry, No I am not-I am from MA!!!

I felt so bad for the Bills today in the snow bowl with the Browns. And I do remember and understand the Miami thing...I believe the players' name was Cox and he acted like one too.
My happiest dance is for the Eagles beating the Dall a$$ Sowboys!!!

I didn't watch any of the patriots today, they annoy me too much. If they win the super bowl I'm boycotting football!!
For those who didn't watch the Steelers, you missed nothing, but a crappy game. They played like a high school football team with a 3rd string quarterback. Halfway through the game the announcer says, "Ben is suffering from an injured right shoulder. He hasn't thrown the ball all week in practice that's why it's getting away from him today." YOU THINK!!!! I don't know, maybe he shouldn't have started??? But who am I? On a happy note the Dolphins won finally!
