No Oven? Quick Microwave Recipes for My Friday Show!

In summary, the host has no oven and the only way to cook is in the microwave or with things that don't need to cook, like the trifle. There are recipes for the chicken squares and the Mom's Apple Crisp in the All The Best cookbook.

I have a show on Friday and the host just told me she has no oven. All we have is a microwave to work with. Anyone got any ideas?

30 minute chicken
fluted stone micro cake
veggies in the rice cooker
veggies in the micro cooker
lime-berry mousse trifle
ice cream sandwich torte
make the "oven cooked" stuff at your house and bring itI would suggest just doing stuff in the microwave or something that doesn't need to cook so you can show how everyone can use our products, not just people with ovens.

You can still do a trifle and show off the bowl - just make a boxed cake mix ahead of time...

Here is a Banana Cream one I do...

1 box cake mix
2 boxes banana cream pudding
2 whole bananas
whipped topping
8 strawberries
chocolate sauce

Layers:
1/2 the cake
1/2 the pudding
sliced bananas
slice strawberries in egg slicer and place around outside
whipped topping
1/2 the cake
1/2 the pudding
sliced bananas
slice strawberries in egg slicer and place around outside
whipped topping

Drizzle chocolate syrup on top for decoration or grate some chocolate chips in the grater...also can add sliced bananas or strawberries on top...

I have taken Tuxedo Brownies already made to show. You could do the chicken club squares. Make the crescent roll crust ahead at your house and take with you. Do the toppings at the show. This works great since you have to have the crust cold b4 you top it anyway. I usually have my hostess make the crust in advance anyway. This is a really good recipe too.

I had one of those this past week! I made the Spicy Shrimp Ceviche Cups--I just brought the cups baked at my house already! I did bring one tortilla to demo how I made the cups.

Also, if she has a toaster oven, you could also do a quick recipe in one of the mini-bakers--like the Cheesy, Bacon Bubble Bread.

Good luck!

Three of my hosts so far have chosen the chicken squares this month! Super easy to make the crust earlier in the day & then sprinkle the toppings over at the show. Shows the Ultimate Mandoline (this month's special) & the new tomato knife.

Hot pizza dip can be done in the micro, too. Actually, any dip that fits in the small oval or mini baker can, probably. Just serve with crackers or something.

It's in All The Best Cookbook, but just in case you don't have it, here it is!

You can also do the Mom's Apple Crisp in "All the Best" cookbook. I just did this last week and served it with Ice cream and they ate it all up.

I have a no-oven show next weekend and was thinking about doing the Aloha Pizza and just baking the crust ahead of time. I am not sure if it would work or not, but something to think about!
