Nicki's Phone Sale: Keep Your Fingers Crossed for Orders!

In summary, the phone sale is where your customers phone their orders in and you run some kind of special every hour. However, so far it has not been very successful.

I am trying Nicki's phone sale. Started 15 minutes ago...no orders yet. Keep your fingers crossed.

Good Luck! Now what is Nicki's phone sale?

Nothing so far:(
I really thought the first few hours were going to be the best because they had the better deals.
Oh well.

Hope something happens for you!!

Hope your sale picks up. You might want to send a reminder email to people today.

I did a Black Friday sale last year and only got a couple orders. But a couple was more than none! Send an e-mail reminder!

How is your sale going?

3 hours left, still no dice....

I haven't read about Nicki's personal results, but I have never had much luck with phone sales. I usually try a "Black Friday" sale in November, but never had very good results then either. It is quite odd that some are quick to complain about our pricing, yet when we hold a decent sale like this, they still don't take advantage of it. Puzzles me!

I never had any success with "Phone Sales" when I used to try them.

I think it's because of something I've learned.....

"It's not their job to call us - it's our job to call them!"

Good point Becky. I think when I send my e-mail out maybe I'll say something like, "e-mail me the time you would like me to call you." No one is going to remember to call you. You're absolutely right.

Well, no sales. No harm no foul. At least I wasn't out any cash.

Leslie~

Don't feel bad...sales like that never work for me, either.

The fortune is in the follow up! I only get sales when I ask them personally. I have never had a good showing for an email. Bummer for you...although I felt the same way you do- what's it hurt? Doesn't cost us anything!

I did this one time....expecting a big turn-out....only got a few orders, but it was enough to qualify as a show and I was able to get the host special that I was drooling over. I probably wouldn't do it again though.

My fear was that only 1 person would call with a $20 order at 20% off and then I would have to pay the extra for an individual order.

I tried the email sale for a day in June but got NO orders. Strange thing was that several people told me how excited they were about it when I sent the first email a week before, but no orders that day. I think everyone is right, we need to go to them and not wait for them to come to us.
