Need help balancing business and motherhood? How would you do it?

I have been a consultant since July but I have only done a few shows. I want to commit to my business but I just had twins 2 months ago. How would you handle this? any suggestions would be helpful.

Call all your past guests and hosts and see if they want to book a show. Talk to everyone you can. Schedule, schedule, schedule. Write down all your family activities, appointments, etc in your calendar and then figure out from there which days you want to do shows on. I mark mine with a bright pink sticky note.

I agree with wadesgirl. Write down the days you can schedule a show, and then talk to everyone you know about hosting. I would again start out with friends and family (new catalog in March). I would also include in your host packet that you require 2-3 weeks cancelation notice (because if you can only work March 20, you would want to re-book it if you had the chance to).

i was proud of myself today. i had my mary kay lady come over and give me a makeover and i asked her if she had a pc consultant. i would have never usually went out on a limb like that before but i thought "what the heck" i was very proud. she already has one but i asked anyway.

I've heard a few great ideas!
1. 24 shows in 24 hours. Get on the phone & in the next 24 hours, book 24 shows. You can say you've been challenged (I just challenged you!!) and was hoping they could help you!
2. look at your calendar and in the next 6 weeks, pick out three week that you can commit to having 2-3 shows EACH of those weeks! That will snowball.....
