Jamestown Tray: Unused and Looking for a Home

I have a Jamestown Tray that is still in the box. I LOVE it but after i got it I cannot find anywhere to put it out to use.

IF AND I SAY IF, I decide to want to sell it would anyone be interest. I would hate to get rid of it but if I cannot find a spot for it, I don't want it to just sit in the box not being used.

Use it on your dresser to hold perfumes, lotions, etc. Use it in the bathroom for the same reasons. Place it on your table as a holder for the salt, pepper, condiments, napkins.

Thanks Darby. You gave me some idea to think about. Now if I could just keep my son off the table top......ha!

I have seen several people hang them on the wall. Maybe over a doorway. Looks very nice.

I just got one! I'm probably going to put it in my bathroom with some pretty soaps, washcloths, and a candle in it. My Mother-in-Law puts has it on her coffee table with some pretty cloth in it (A cloth napkin maybe?) and some votives in it.

Mine is on my dryer. I have the fatter apothecary jars of different sizes . I have my oxyclean, antique clothespins etc in them.
the jamestown centerpiece makes a wonderful wine holder.

My dryer top is full of clothes that need to be folded!

I would love for my bathroom to have a counter top! The only counter I have is the sides of my sink! It gets so frustrating.

That can only be topped by having your dryer AND washer full of clothes that need to be folded...I had to double stack them on the dryer to get clothes in the washer last night.

Must be spending too much time on ChefSuccess!

Oh well, that's why I'm taking a week off in April - TO CLEAN!

Is that a challenge? Actually, I have my mom coming up to watch the kids and am motivated to do some DEEP cleaning. I was working on a Master's Degree for the last 2 years - finished in August 2006 so my non-daily activities (like dusting, cleaning out too small kids clothes, burning out of date paperwork, etc.) didn't get done - only the necessities! It's been driving me crazy but when its 0 degrees you don't feel motivated to do "spring cleaning" - too cold!

yes, it is very decorated I drive my friends crazy.
It has an old fashioned cabbage rose wallpaper, copper tin ceiling, oak crown molding and family antiques & some SL pices on the walls.
I have hung my mom and grandmas christening dresses and a SL dress me up mirror hangs above my sink. I used to keep our litter box under there so I made a skirt to hide the legs with old fashioned ticking fabric.
I do laundry every day and I have to have it cheerful!!

Sure~!
I'm not sure if decorating is a passion, a hobby or the beginning of insanity (my husband's)
Every spring break while they are off fishing, hiking, whatever I am scouring boutiques, antique shops, festivals etc planning my next project.

One spring break we were in a quaint little store and I had an idea I was ready to leave our trip early. We have (had) 2 pantries. I came home took the door off one, added a striped ticking fabric to the walls and filled it with my grandmothers antique dishes and my lemon reamer collection. I had him install a light and a french door it is adorable.
I soemtimes miss the storage but I have taken over the srorage shelves in the garage so all is good .

I love wrought iron lookI wish PC sold a pot rack. I saw one in the Taste of home catalog but I don't want to buy one from them just yet. I am still looking around.
Has anyone seen any good deals lately on Pot/pan racks in the black wrought iron look?

I'm going to my first SL party tonight. I've bought from the catalog but never attended one. I'll have to see what a Jamestown thingy is Maybe I will get inspired to decorate MY laundry room. Of course, it is already decorated with all my extra PC stuff!! I heard that the "rubbermaid tote" look is in this season

In January I did my own pity party catalog show DH was "guest" order went on his CC I got the freebies HA!
some of the favorite things l bought was the copper hammered vase, the copper votive centerpieces it's on a stand & LOVE the 3 Astoria canisters & tray. The glass they are made from is beautiful.
Can't find my catalog for the correct names.
I have party to attend Sunday and have no clue what I'll buy.
I have all their green gail pittman pieces and they are very pretty

Just got home from the show. Ordered the Yorkshire Hurricane. Eight bucks for shipping...ugh!! Totally shocked by how the consultant had to talk about how they have stop sells so often that they have to check the computer before EVERY show. She was putting a positive spin on it "these things are so popular" blah blah blah...like we do but for us it's not a common thing and she sure made it sound like they deal with this on a daily basis.

Also, I was BORED. Not sure if this is how most parties go but party started 35 minutes late and she just picked stuff up talked about it, passed it around, and then went on to something else. In all she only talked about maybe 5-6 items in detail, 2-3 in passing, then it was over. (She's been a consultant since 2001.)

That describes my SLAH party experience as well. B O R I N G. The gal who was the consultant had just quit PC to do SLAH and it was her first show.

The shipping is outrageous. I bought one item worth about $20 and with shipping and all it came to $30. Unreal.

The host kept introducing me as "her minister's wife and Pampered Chef consultant". I purposefully was not going to talk about PC (of course, I was wearing my silver chef's hat necklace ). People kept saying, "Oh, Pampered Chef!". The SL consultant asked me for a catalog to order a spice. I told her I would get her one before I left, that I had left them in the car because it was rude to pass them out during her show. She seemed impressed with that Gave her a catalog and business card before I left. We'll see how that goes. I'll call her next week if she doesn't call me.

Too bad she didn't say, "Oh I really need your cookwear!!"
